cozy and clean place. staff are kind, location also not bad. amenities are also good. if you are budget traveler, this hostel could be a good choice. near by hotel, 24hours convenient store, so you can buy snack any time.
I choose this hotel because it is so central! There are 2 department stores pretty much next door to the hotel, OPA and daimaru. The subway train station is 2 mins walk and Shinsaibashi shopping strip is about a 3 mins walk. Walk along this strip you will get to the bustling Dontonburi. 2 family marts are next to the hotel and also a laundrymat which we utilised. The hotel itself is very nice and clean. Our room was spacious for us and the pillows were the best we slept on throughout our whole stay in Japan. The only thing I didnt enjoy was that we had to give our key every time we left the hotel and get it back when we came back, I guess its for security reasons. Also the lobby of the hotel reaked of smoke. I feel sorry for the hotel staff who have to breath in this secondary passive smoke everyday. The smell is only in the lobby or if you are in the smoking rooms. I would definitely stay here again as the location is very ideal and convient and Iwas happy with the services.
Hearton Hotel is 100m from the nearest Shinsaibashi subway station exit; 300m from Shinsaibashi shopping street; and from the shopping street another 200m or so to Dotonbori (food) street. On the way to Dotonbori, one will walk past the iconic glico man signage while crossing a bridge. Because of the accessible location, it is convenient to stay out late to roam/shop around the streets of Shinsaibashi till late evening. There are also multiple convenience stores located within a stone's throw (5 min walk) from the hotel. The rooms are well furnished and clean, staff are polite. The heater in the room can be adjusted somewhat - you'll need to switch on the television to get to the instructions, they are displayed as one of the channels. When leaving the hotel to explore the area in the day, leave the room key with the receptionist as the key is linked to a chunky keychain. The only minor but tolerable issue is that the lobby smells of cigarette smoke, which most likely is coming from the restaurant located on the ground floor of the hotel premises. The upside is that the smell only lingers in the lobby. 2 streets down at the Hotel Nikko Osaka, we purchased ticket for the limousine bus to Kansai International Airport. Highly recommend this if you prefer a direct route to the airport instead of taking the train.
First the good, the price was well below what other hotels in the area had wanted when we booked. The room was clean and the service staff was very, very nice. The hotel is centrally located by Shiabiashi market area and multiple metro stations. You cannot go wrong with the location. The downside was that hotel is older and well used but cared for. We were only in Osaka to see the sites, eat the foods, and shop so we didn't really care what the rooms looked like. Book a room here, it's economical and clean!
We stayed in a standard double room in the main building. It is well known that Japanese hotel rooms in downdown are very small. Though the space of my room is very limited, it is large enough to open two luggages. The location is excellent, just a few steps to Exit 7 of subway, 15 minutes walk to JR Namba, fastfood shops, convenient store and shopping places all nearby. Room temperature can be adjusted. I will choose this hotel next time I go to Osaka.
Pros: * Amazing location. MRT stations are in 5 minutes walk, one of the main train stations in Osaka "南海難波" is also in 20 minutes walk, and A LOTS of good restaurants / shopping places near by. * Clean, almost all the hotels in Japan shared this feature ;) * Friendly staff with basic English communication skill Con: * Only one key for each room, so if you and your roommate are not travel together it would possibly a problem. You can ask the staff to open the door with master key tho.
We choose this hotel coz of the location near Shinsaibashi shopping street. Also they had family room for three of us. We enjoy alot of their services starting from the check in till we check out. We stayed here for almost a week and had a comfortable stay. The location also surrounding by some restaurant, cafe and 2 convenient store just across the hotel. Also the location are only a few walk both to Minamibashi or Shinsaibashi train station.
Easy to go shopping, close to everywhere. 2 minutes walk to subway Shinsaibashi. Very clean and everything is well equipped. Nice reception staff. We have a group of 8, and booked for 4 rooms, we loved our stay in this hotel.
The hotel has a very good location. Its walking distance to shinsaibashi shopping center, and dotonburi. It is also 1 minute to train station... The hotel offers the same day luggage shipment to the airport at a discount that after check out, and you still hav e ample of time, you can go around without worrying to travel around with your luggage and carrying it with you to the airport. They also offer to keep your luggage in the hotel after your check out time... Staff are friendly and helpful...
We had a tiny room on the hotel's annex building across the street. It reminded us of a ship cabin below deck since we didn't really even have a real window in the room. The decor is beige and "plastic" and has been out dated for quite some time now. Noises from the corridor were too easy to hear, how ever outside traffic sounds were non-excistent. Hotel is located in absolutely perfect place, near all the action of Dotonburi, Shinsaibashi shopping street and in the heart of America Mura. If you adopt the mentality that the hotel's are just for crashing over night among all the sightseeing, this might be your choice regardless some criticism on amenities.
