Excellent welcome at reception with nice quiet room we will be staying here again Room is large and bed very comfortable Quiet fridge and large TV Thanks to the management Excellent breakfast Very friendly staff
The rooms are large. However they are not cleaned well. Our room had grime on the bathroom floor tiles all around the edge of the room. There were obvious large cobwebs in the bathroom and main room. The carpets need to be replaced. Look it’s a large spacious room but why owners don’t check the rooms after cleaners have been in is beyond me. For the price you can do much better closer to the Main Street.
Couch was nice and comfortable for watching TV. Nearly fell asleep on it. Huge room. A/C was quiet and kept the room cool. Pool looked good but didn't use it. Check in was easy. Lots of space to park the car.
Stayed for 2 nights in January with my daughter. We had a room with a queen and a single bed. The hotel is convenient, with easy parking and a good sized pool. The room was just average, a good size but not that clean. The beds not that comfortable and need updating with quilts rather thank blankets. The rooms also quite dark.
Excellent place to stay in Orange. It’s quite a large hotel complex but our room was set well back from the road so very quiet. Check-in was quick and staff very friendly and helpful. The room was a good size, clean and well kitted out with everything you might need. The bed was very comfortable and afforded a good nights sleep. Lovely swimming pool and an excellent restaurant on site which is very helpful if you are only staying one night. I would highly recommend this as a good place to stay in Orange.
Im surprised at some of the recent reviews. I stayed one night here and found the grounds, roses and rooms really well maintained! The rooms are huge, with an old world charm. The bathroom was spotless, irrespective of it age. Some might say the rooms are a little dated, but I loved the style. Staff were friendly and free wifi is always much appreciated. Rooms are quiet, with sturdy thick brick. The food was ok without being anything spectacular. And the roses were AMAZING! Would definitely recommend!
Large room, no early check in, nice roses but gotta weed those garden beds and use use the drip sprinkler during dry spells. Big bus arrived late with hordes but fortunately thick walls limited the noise.
Spent a few weeks on and off here, in what seems to be a preferred destination for travelling workers. The rooms are quaint and nicely decorated. The rooms warm - as they need to be in Orange over winter and early spring. The food offer is simple and hit and miss at times. Would recommend the pizzas. Quiet location. Would recommend.
The Ambassador in Orange has at some time been a modern 4 star motel. Like all things in life, with age comes wear and tear. From the King size mattress being hard with springs failing to keep their intended height and support, the many missing door handles and knobs of the bedroom furniture, the low pressure shower head, undercover walkways creating vehicle collision points and the neglected grounds, the Ambassador overall just needs some long overdue love. I appreciate for a regional area The Ambassador is probably better than average accommodation. However, placed in the very beautiful botanic town of Orange it could be so much more. Accommodation is large and generous with space, set well back from the street with road noise not an issue. Regardless the claim of being close to the town centre, not many individuals would find walking to the CBD a reasonable task. Overall Presentation - average 3/5 Service - average 3/5 Decor - missing components 3/5 Cleanliness - 3/5 (clean and dust above) Value - good 3/5
My room at this motel was large, if a little dated. It had a comfortable couch, but badly positioned for watching television. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the food, both dinner and breakfast, above the usual standard. For those with mobility issues, ask for a downstairs room, as this property has two stories.
