Disneyland Hotel - On Disneyland Resort Property

this hotel is nice, it is nowhere near worth the exorbitant price. Of course, Disneyland is much different than Walt Disney World, and after staying at Walt Disney World dozens of times and many different price categories of their hotels, the high price, even with a 30% discount, of over $360 a night would have put me in one of Walt Disney World's "Deluxe" resorts. The Disneyland Hotel was not built by Disney originally and it shows. More hodgepodge of Polynesian and modern styling and no consistent themeing.dining choices on the property are very scarce, with a coffee shop that closes at 6. Hard to find even a fountain drink. Normally it has an excellent bar called Trader Sam's, but like many other things at Disneyland the first week of September after Labor Day everything was being refurbished, including the excellent bar. The hotel boasts about being on the Disneyland property, but to get to the parks you must walk through Downtown Disney. there are quite a few hotels much closer to the parks including the Courtyard by Marriott and Fairfield Inn that are very nice, half the price or less. While there were Disney touches around the hotel and the light up headboards were a nice touch, the lack of amenities found at most Disney hotels is glaring. Next time I visit Disneyland, I will definitely stay at one of the neighboring hotels better at much better value and don't really enjoy a fall off in amenities for that value. The staff at the hotel was very nice, typical Disney.

The tv wouldnt turn off for 3 different times. The 1st time,it took about 1 hour before someone came to our room and took care of it(when front desk said someone will come up right away,i actually have to call to check on it and they didnt have a clue whats going on in my room) he also did not apologize about what happened when he arrived to our room and also didnt explained to us what happened. That same night it happened 2 more times, we didnt even call anyone everyone was so tired that i asked my husband to take the plug off. So for this high of a price its really dissapointing, aside from goofeys kitchen and disney downtown everything else is below average. I would book hotel outside disney property next time.

We had such a great stay at the Disneyland Hotel. The proximity to the parks and Downtown Disney can't be beat!

We had a great time. Rooms were clean and beds comfortable. Staff was very accommodating. We have stayed at the Grand Californian several times but I think I actually prefer the Disneyland Hotel! Still pricey but better value for money than the Grand Cal. Will definitely stay here again!

Loved it, perfect home base for a Disneyland vacation! We had a pool view in the Frontier Tower on level 8 with a Pool View and our room also had a clear view of Disneyland (we had an unobstructed view ofo the Fantasmic Fireworks).

Had a very nice time would stay there again. Location was perfect, staff was above and beyond to give you extras and help you out. Pool was great. Food is extremely overpriced and not amazing but part of the experience and my kids loved it

Clean, comfortable and friendly staff. We appreciated the proximity to the parks and took advantage of Magic mornings. Having said that do I think that it's worth the money? Not really. I didn't love the pool area. Too spread out and crowded. This however, is based on a personal preference and not the fault of the hotel. At more than twice the cost of some of the other hotels near by, I probably won't stay again.

Location and convenience were ideal. It was clean and comfortable. Details in design were fun and exciting for kids, but not gaudy (Mickey mouse tiles and light fixtures, headboard that lit up). There was a pack-n-play right there in the closet. Our son was too big, but thought that was a nice detail for little ones. The sink was the only thing that bugged me. It was set so far back, and there was no step stool. It was even awkward for me to wash my face. I'm sure I could have called the front desk for a step stool for our 5 year old, but we were not there long, so I never did. Staff were all friendly and helpful. My son skinned his knee in the pool, and the life guard was right there with bandaids and ointment. Check in and car valet all fast and convienient. It's hard to find flaws. We were very happy with it for sure!

Absolutely recommend upgrading to Club level room - the service is fantastic and the savings in time and money helped to greatly offset the additional cost. Club service includes generous food/drink service all day (until 10pm) and gives you special access to watch the fireworks. It really made the Disney experience feel that much more special. Also, make sure to let them know if anyone is celebrating a birthday - my nephew was

We've stayed at paradise pier in the past. That's fine as a place to crash but you wouldn't spend a minute there longer than needed. The Disneyland Hotel by contrast has lovely pools. If I were going to spend several days, this is clearly a better choice.

Hotel was clean and had everything we needed. Not as many "Disney" touches as I was expecting for it being a Disneyland hotel. Location to the park is the best thing about it. Check in time is like rush hour and they don't like you to park up front. Make you park and walk to check in. Parking fee should be included for the price they charge per night. Other then what's listed I enjoyed my stay!

This hotel is so magical. The room is top notch Disney, amazing pool area, characters walking around in the lobby. Plus the rooms are very spacious and easily sleep 5.

Amazing experience. So worth being that close to the park. Overall just a great time

Had a great time! Got free room view upgrade at check in. Have had annual passes to Disney for years, but this was our first time staying at a hotel onsite. Only thing negative was the key situation, gave us wrong room key so had to go back down to front desk. Then had to get two new poolkeys after we checked out which both didn't work. Finally gave up & just asked life guards to open gate for me. Oh & self park is $18, wish they would have let me use my annual pass that includes my parking that I paid for :/ but overall Great place.

Great room and amenities. First family trip to Disneyland Hotel and we did not regret it. We will definitely return

Just love this hotel and all its classic theming. Great pool area, beautiful rooms. We were lucky to get a standard room with a side view of the fireworks. Can't wait to return.

Love the pools. Adventure tower for the win! Had views of fireworks from disneyland. Checked in early and was able to use pool while waiting for room... Checked out and were still able to use pools before heading home. Will come back.

Check-in was marvelous with all the Fab 4 Disney characters as well as Chip & Dale to greet you! We also received a splendid room upgrade to cap off our Anniversary celebration. All services are top-notch from the Pools to housekeeping to requesting a late check-out. Thank you Disneyland Resorts and Orbitz for the memories that'll last forever!!

Only about a 10 minute walk to the Parks, as the hotel opens right into Downtown Disney. Trader Sam's Tiki Bar is so much fun with live Hawaiian music outside with Tiki Torches, or sit on a couch by an outdoor fireplace and still be able to listen to the music, or go inside and have an great time with the staff and cool decorations, that come to life! Cool iconic monorail waterslide is fun for the kids and adults. Steakhouse 55 is best Disney Restaurant that we have eaten in anywhere and that includes all of the restaurants at Disney World, where we are annual passholders. Top notch steak house! TIP-Stay on 14th (top) floor of the Frontier Tower and get a balcony that the other floors (and buildings) do not have!

Spacious room with lovely Disney touches. We could also watch the Disney Fireworks from our window (not all rooms can do this). Great staff and nice restaurants. Getting 1 hour early entry to the theme parks was worth the extra cost of staying here!
