Owners should be ashamed
The dolphin key is a great property that my family has stayed in for decades. This unit however has been abused and ignored. Dirty to the point housecleaning can’t get it clean again. Broken beds, patio furniture in the living room, squealing showers, etc, etc.
I met several owners and talked to housecleaning staff, and this unit is infamous. Apparently it’s widely known how bad this unit is kept. What a disappointment in such an amazing location.
For anyone looking in the area, the dolphin key as a whole is still the best experience you can find. Spread out private beach with relatively few neighbors. Small condo with easy access to beach, pool, parking, and grill area. Most of the owners take a lot of pride in their units too.

Great view!
We love the low volume of this condo. The beach or condo were never crowded. The Master Bedroom television had Roku/smart tv function. The Living Room tv did not have Netflix/Roku. So, the OTA channels were quite limited. Cracked floor tiles in the kitchen area and a little bit of updating would bring this up to par with the other units in Dolphin/Marlin Key, considering the pricing was near the same.

DIRTY! OUTDATED! EVERYTHING IS BROKEN! RENT SOMEWHERE ELSE!
I’m going to be completely honest, this is the worst place we’ve ever stayed before!
Where do I begin ? …
We were told to arrive at 4pm, we arrived at 5:30 and the cleaners were still there. When they left, we noticed it was 2 teenage boys that were cleaning this condo. It was not cleaned properly and hadn’t been in months. The owner takes no pride in their condo!
** Shower had hair in it .
** There was a pile of dust and hair in the corners of the bathroom.
** There was chip crumbs on my bedroom rug.
** All dishes were dirty and needed washed upon arrival.
* The toaster didn’t work right.
* The dishwasher drawer was broken
* The towel rack fell off the wall
* The dryer was missing a knob
* The Patio door wouldn’t close without a man tugging on it ( we had to put oil on it and it did improve but didn’t make it slide perfectly)
* The return on the tub was broken and the faucet on the tub leaked over in to the floor.
* The closet smelled like mildew
* The comforter had a hole in covered by a tag that was stapled to it.
* The bath towels were basically hand towels, we ended up buying some at Walmart.
* The oven burners only work on 2 !
* The top bunk beds couldn’t be used because they were so unstable and rickety!
* Wallpaoer peeling behind microwave and the bathroom. The toilet seat was chipped
* The living room chair was broke down
* The living room furniture was actually outdoor furniture and was so uncomfortable.
* It was so outdated. Looks like it has the same furniture that was put in , when it was built in the 1980’s. It needs to be fully painted - remodeled- new appliances- new furniture!
The ONLY PRO to this room was the balcony overlooking the beach.
Just rent somewhere else ! Don’t Rent Dolphin Key. 3C
