This upgraded 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom condo at Tidewater in Orange Beach sleeps up to six guests. Upgrades include new wood-style flooring throughout and a renovated kitchen with modern weathered-wood cabinetry, stainless-steel appliances and granite countertops.

· Living room has a commercial Queen sleeper sofa, which opens from the top, along with two armchairs, various tables and a wall-mounted flatscreen television. The living area overlooks the Gulf through a floor-to-ceiling sliding glass door to the tiled balcony.

· Fully equipped kitchen features stainless appliances, including a flat-top stove, a double sink, and the two padded stools at the breakfast bar.

· Dining area features a set of four chairs around a glass-top table on a metal mesh base. Nearby is a rolling server and wine rack with glassware and a smart stereo at your fingertips.

· Master bedroom includes a King-size bed, direct balcony access, two nightstands and a wall-mounted flatscreen TV.

Great Property

Really liked this property. The only thing we would like to see updated is keyless entry. Trying to keep up with physical keys is somewhat of a hassle for everyone in the group.

Bizarre property

Upon arrival we were told to retrieve the keys and the gate code from their corporate location which was located almost 30 minutes away. We were not allowed to use the facility until check in time of 4pm bc of security purposes ? Once 4pm rolled around we were asked to wait an additional hour and 45 minutes bc management was short staffed on cleaning crews. Once inside the condo things were not up to your average standards of cleanliness. Floors were still very sandy all glass tables were smudged with dirty finger prints and glass rings. But worst of all was the standing water in the guest bathroom tub. The condo felt very dirty and we ended up buying multiple cleaning supplies to get things up to par. Overall the beach and location was great but I would think during one of their most busiest seasons they would’ve been better prepared. And the fact they we had to drive an additional 30 min to retrieve and drop of keys was pretty disappointing. We won’t be back.

Great location, super clean and updated condo. Thermostat is locked. You cannot adjust AC below 72. Called management about it but no one responded. We had sunburns and could have used a very cool 70. Overall great spot!!!

Beachfront condo - Jun '22

This condo comfortably accommodated our group of 5, with new table and chairs on the balcony, and we were able to lower the thermostat to 72 which cooled the unit amply during the hottest months, day as well as night. Sleeper sofa was comfortable, and we used the kitchen daily. Would be nice to have 1 pan 10" or 12", as the largest is around 8". Would rent this unit again.

Check in was time consuming considering it was not co-located with the property. Although an address was given for check in, it was not emphasized clearly that the office was 10-15 minutes away. The condo was very Spartan in appearance with “garage sale” furniture and decor. The bathroom down by the pool was a constant mess. I would be shocked to hear that is was cleaned or even attended more than once a day. Most inconvenient of all was the room thermostat. It was blocked from going lower than 72F/22C. It got quite warm and uncomfortable at night. Great beach access and location relative to restaurants and activities. I would not rent this property again.

The owner had the air locked and could not be cooler than 72 degrees. We paid a lot of money to come to the beach and it was so stuffy and uncomfortable that it was not a pleasant stay. The days and nights are very warm and humid and with our air no cooler than 72 degrees, it was disappointing. If you want to be comfortable during your stay, you may not want to choose this unit.

Great Condo!

My bestfrind and I decided to take the kids for a long weekend. The condo was very clean and the views from the balcony were beautiful. Pool area was always clean and nice to sit around.

HOT!

The thermostat is set to not go lower than 72. The rooms get very hot at night and opening the doors did not help as the air does not blow hard in the rooms. I called to see if we could have the thermostat lowered and the owners response was “no, 72 is comfortable enough.” Ummm it’s obviously not comfortable or we wouldn’t have called. No one slept well during the entirety of our trip. We come to OBA twice a year and have never had issues like this with other owners. We will never stay at this unit again.

My husband, daughter, and I stayed here for a few days for a last minute getaway, and we loved it! It was very nice and clean, the location was great. The condo itself was a little on the smaller side, but that worked for us since we didn't need anything huge. We will most definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone.

Very nice condo! Clean and comfy! Great view of the beach/gulf from the balcony, living room, and master bedroom. Will for sure be back! Had my wife and two kids with me, they loved it all as well.
