My wife and I arrived for our anniversary to celebrate two years together since meeting in Olomouc. We had booked a double room which to my understanding was a double bed. To our surprise when we got to our room we had a twin room (2 single beds). We went back to the reception and requested what we ordered (a double bed). He firstly helpfully suggested that i push them together to create a double bed:) then i suggested he located a room with a double bed not two single beds pushed together. It seemed to be confusion as the reception man then said it would be 1hr to make a double room. However at this point i asked what we were waiting 1hr for and he advised that someone would go to our room and push the two single beds together! At this point i just gave up as clearly he did not understand the issue and said i will push the beds together to create our perfect double room. He replied "well your a man" which was interesting reply. Anyway great customer service you have to love it.
If you're arriving by train, the location is wonderful. The building has been refurbished to a high standard and the rooms are comfortable, well insulated from street noise, and air-conditioned. A good night's sleep is virtually guaranteed. However, we stayed at a weekend and when we wanted an evening coffee discovered that the lobby bar was closed (at 8pm!), despite being all lit up. (Maybe there weren't many hotel guests, but if a hotel offers a service it should provide that service at all reasonable times.) We were offered a coffee in the restaurant, which was virtually empty with two unsmiling trainee staff who intended to keep it that way. They could not offer decaf. There was more charm on show the next morning, where the breakfast spread was generous.
Again, one year later we decided to come here and were not disappointed. Great location for a conference right next to the main train station so your participants can easily get to your event. The breakfast is okay but it makes more sense to eat somewhere else than in their Benada restaurant. The more after they have abandoned their loyalty card here. :)
We stayed as a couple, in early August for 2 nights attending a friends wedding. Great reception and we liked the hotel, it was clean and felt new. B/fast was included and the food was great. Staff were very helpful. A short walk into town, but was ok. The main railway station is just across the road. Yes, we would stay here again. Good value.
Venturing into the Czech countryside as Americans who do not speak the language, this hotel was excellent; very convenient to the train station just across the street; good buffet breakfast. I requested a room with a king bed, but we got a suite with two double beds; that may be all they had. It seems to be common in the Czech Republic, but you must leave a key card in a slot inside the door in order for the lights to work. Overall, a good experience.
It ‘s a nice and new looking hotel located in a pleasant surrounding. Our room was very nice on one of the upper floors facing the street. The tram stop was right across the street but no noise issue in the room. The buffet breakfast had lots to choose from, both hot and cold. I would stay at the hotel again
In general this is not bad hotel: newly renowated building, very good location opposite to the main rail station, quite and clean room even if small. But attitude of the staff was unproffesional. First of all the whole parking was reserved for congress guests but with no information for another guests before entrance to the indoor parking. Nobody said sorry on the reception desk, nobody wanted to help. Second trouble was mistake of trainee with our key-card, it did not work, after my complain he repprogramed it, but with no sorry as well. Breakfast was good and tasty, only coffee from two different machines was really terrible.
I had an afternoon soup at the restaurant and it was great. Service also great as well as the price, although the portion could have been a little bit bigger, which I'm sure would not hurt the hotel's bottom line...
I have stayed here a number of times in the last 6 months, and will continue to go back! I even had a large group of friends come to stay there too a few months ago! Staff - All speak reasonable levels of English, some better than others, but always friendly and helpful. Rooms - for the price - the beds are very comfortable. The rooms aren't posh by any means but a comfortable clean, and modern hotel. Don't expect luxury but its everything you need, good clean and simple bathrooms and easy to use safe in room. Location - Right outside the main train/tram station. Perfect. 10-15 mins walk to the main square in Olomouc. Nice little coffee shop around the corner called 'I love coffee' Food/drinks - Great extensive breakfast buffet although at weekends they do sometimes do only do food to order and turn the good coffee machine off - probably the only negative to this place. Recommend at least do not turn the good coffee machine off!!! The menu outside of the buffet is definitely 40-50%+ more expensive than the rest of Olomouc. Overall - I will definitely stay here again!
Went there for a conference and got nicely surprise by the hotel. Freshly renovated, great team, nice room. Breakfast buffet is nice with large choice of food, I would say the only minus is the the bar who is closing early otherwise good choice if you have to travel to Olomouc Very reasonable price
