The mountain view of the ruins and the friendly helpful staff are amazing.!!!
Pros: Easy to catch the train to Machu Picchu (about a 10-15 min walk from the hotel). The other sites are also within walking distance but up steep hills. Hotel is small, rustic and views are beautiful. Stayed in room 5 which has a large shared landing that faces the fortress. Amazing view. Fortress looks like it's in the backyard of the hotel. Cute breakfast area with a nice woman who makes your eggs to order. Hotel is a 5-10 min walk to everywhere in town. Cons: up a steep hill so if you're suffering from altitude sickness, this won't help. There were ants in the bathroom but after snuffing out a few bug's lives, we didn't see any others. I don't think there is AC (we didn't need but kept a window open for air circulation).
Staff super friendly. The receptionist was from Uruguay and gave us very good recommendations for unusual places to visit. Also upgraded our room to number 7. Adk for that ine!! The view was beautiful and the room has its own garden. Internet worked sporadically and there was no heat, although the bed was super warm.
Nice ruins view, good loction, friendly staffs, very cozy hotel. But slow wi fi.
Perfect view for ruins, cute garden, very kind n helpful staffs.
