Not up to VRBO standards on arrival

We loved the proximity to the beach and pier but encountered problems from the get-go, all of which should have been either addressed or disclosed before we arrived: --safety issues: one bed frame in danger of collapse because it was missing one of six support posts; a hidden "down" staircase posed a hazard to our 2 year old; part of a nail was sticking up from the middle of the floor where anyone could have stepped on it. We weren't told about any of these things and had to discover them for ourselves. --other issues: only 4 dining chairs for a unit that sleeps 6, full set of cutlery for only 4 people too. The kitchen had a large piece of plaster peeling from the ceiling. One of the three beds was missing a mattress protector, i.e. there was nothing between the fitted sheet and mattress. One of the bedroom doors had to be left ajar because it wouldn't close. The silverware drawer bottom fell out the first time we opened it. The door to the storage area under the kitchen sink was off its hinges. Need I go on? Note: These issues are the reason for our below-average overall rating and rating for "accuracy of online listing." To the owner's credit, the management team led by Matt did its best to address these issues promptly. After describing these issues we were given a 20% refund, without asking. However we would much have preferred to have paid full price without encountering the issues in the first place. In the wake of our stay I deleted the VRBO app from my phone.

We had a great trip. The location was perfect. We would have like that the following stuff be available : kitchen’s towels , cleaning products, tablecloth or doily, BBQ ustensils.
