Positive: Clean and spacious room, very friendly staff. Location good, just a short walk to old town. Many restaurants are located close by, as well as a big supermarket, very good coffee! Negative: Way too expensive! Totally outdated interior, felt like a youth hostel from a former century. The size of the shower is for midgets. No atmosphere in the room, really budget. But it was clean! Breakfast is a joke, only the very good coffee will safe you. Would have maybe been okay when charging half of the price, but not around 100 Euro for two persons!

This hotel is overlooking the river and we had a side room 114 which did give us a small amout of road noise for traffic going from the bridge to the port. This also an easy place to find due to local tall building nearby. Almost everything in Olbia is within easy walking distance. A point to note that there is no Central bus station in Olbia.Just one very lonesome train station with very few trains per day. As stated by others their are numerous bars and restraunts.MOSTLY Only serving after 7 pm but ther are a number of Kebap small eat ins and Pizza places which are excellent value for money just out of the hotel and right 100 metres past the giant and cheap supermarket. . The hotels breakfast was reasonable and serves as a mini cocktail bar if you want to be kind as a description. No one used it in 5 evenings the days that we stayed. Televisions are antique and poor quality Italian only programs. Forget it. Next door lefts had really nice cheap capuccinos. You could DO Olbia in less than two days and the trips we went on to Porto Rodondo Palau then Isle Magdalena on a ferry and also Golfo Aranci etc were pleasant but one hour would be long enough at each. Get a car. Herz is next door. The local park was really active serving Beer Sausages etc and carried on as a load of market stalls. Sadly very little worth looking at. Special mention to all the staff and cleanliness.

The hotel is pretty nice ,it is in a great location , overlooking the port and just a short walking distance from the city center, shops , restaurants and bars. The room was clean, the staff was nice and helpful ,mid range prices .

Friend and I ate at the restaurant one night, and the pizza was pretty good. One waitress there, named Josie, was the nicest person we met in the whole of Olbia! She just oozed warmth and she was an absolute delight to talk to. The location of this restaurant is great too- right opposite the port.

(+)Very good location, very central and not far from airport also. Free parking. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Very clean. (-) Wi-fi did not work in my room. Aircon did not make any difference. It was not strong enough. My room faced the main road, it is very noisy (intense traffic).

Showing its age and room was a bit bare with old tv that didnt work. Breakfast also not brilliant but not awful. Best thing about the hotel is its position. Close to the port and airport and walkable to the main street of bars and restaurants. Bathroom decent

We stayed on this hotel mid-May, it was in low season so the hotel was not very busy. We stayed in a room facing the sea however as the port ( ferry and cargo) is very close to the hotel, the on going traffic makes lots of noise so if you want a great sea facing view you have to accept noise. To be fair hotel staff mentioned about this issue at the time of check-in. The room was clean and serviced daily. The breakfast was efficient, not very special ( typical continental), which was Ok as you find lots of places that take your fancy to have some snack before lunch. You can find lots of good restaurants, bars and cafes close to the hotel. There are few supermarkets nearby. Tourist office is very close and also archeological museum. If you need car hire don't get it from the offices in the town, as they are rip off. Get a bus from nearby bus stop and go to the airport as you will save lots of money in this way ( tourist office will give you more details).

I would highly recommend this hotel for everybody who needs top services in all fields. Clean rooms, nice and helpful staff, rich and fresh breakfast and amazing location in the city center that allows you to reach all famous places and destinations.

I was looking for a room and heard Hotel De Plam is exactly what I was looking for. Its central, very reasonably priced, clean quiet and functional. Had a great view of the harbour from my window too. The Reception staff were very accomodating. They kept my luggage safe for me and ensured I my requirements were met. Cant complain at all. A good nights sleep was had.

So, we stayed there for 4 nights and there were mixed feelings. The room was very clean, but the furniture is really very old. There's sea view, but also the main road right next to the hotel, so it's a bit loud at night. Otherwise, the location is strategically good, because you are very close to the center, nearest bus station, and also quite close to the airport. The staff were really friendly and always willing to help. The thing that bothered us quite a lot was the wi-fi service ... It said in the description that wi-fi is avaliable in all areas of the hotel, but we were stationed on the third floor, so there wasn't any service. We had to sit on the couch in the reception to get a signal.
