Rented because the AC in our house went out. Imagine our surprise when we showed up and the thermostat was reading 80 degrees. The 2 upstairs bedrooms were even hotter than the main level. We looked for vents in the bedrooms to make sure they were open and could not find them. We called the owner immediately and he was in disbelief that it could be uncomfortable. Eventually we discovered that the headboards had been placed on the same wall as the vents and were blocking cool air from getting to the bedrooms. We pulled the beds off the wall, put fans in front of the vents, left & came back 2 hours later. This unit is accurately described as a corporate rental. It would be good for a business traveler on an extended assignment in Olathe or Lenexa. The kitchen is small with only basic tools. I wouldn't expect to do serious cooking here. The unit is technically 4 bedrooms and also 4 levels. The entry level is LR & kitchen. Upper level is 2 BR & shared bath. Down from the entry level is the garage and a small bedroom that could be a decent office. The 4th bedroom is in the basement and only accessible through the garage. We would have never found it without the owner directing us to shut the vents in that room. It would be good for someone needing darkness to sleep. Owner definitely put money into a remodel, new furniture & kitchenware. I think it's new to VRBO and still needs some finishing touches like closet rods, towel racks, dish soap, cutting board. Good potential.
