Family Break

The property is in a good location and access to loads of swimming areas. The place is well presented and it was easy to book and communicate with the management company. We would book again

Clovo - a gem of a place. We'll be back!

The apartment was perfect we had everything we needed. the beach was a short stroll down the road and there were beach bars and lots of activities to do. We rented stand-up boards and took in lots of sights and little coves around the Island. Highly recommend. overall Croatia is a delightful place and a place we want to return sooner rather than later.

Breathtaking views!

We enjoyed our stay in this apartment, which was very clean and well equipped. It has stunning views from the balcony, which we enjoyed. We opted for the transfer with David who collected us from the airport and showed us where everything was locally and was on hand if we needed anything during our stay. Any problems were quickly resolved. The downside to this apartment was its location and we didn’t have a car. The apartment is at the top of a VERY steep hill and I would not recommend for small children or those with mobility issues. We used Uber a lot during our stay,which was reasonably priced It takes about 20 mins to walk down to the main beach.There is a smaller beach nearby (5-10mins), but we did not find it very clean. The swimming pool is very small and cannot really be used for swimming, although good for small children. In the evenings we visited the many restaurants and took a taxi to Trogir old town which is a great place (10 mins) away.There are local restaurants a short walk away.

Lovely apartment with fantastic view

We had the best time in Okrug Gornji! It was the most beautiful place and very well located to do all the things we wanted to do whilst there. We opted for the transfers through the management company - our flight was 2 hours delayed but David, the apartment manager, kept a check on the flight status and was waiting for us at arrivals. He then drove us to the apartment (for the same cost as all the local taxis) through the scenic route so that he could point out all the locations for travel into Split by boat, travel from our apartment to Trogir, where the local supermarkets and shops were, all the beaches and markets and sights to explore, for which we were extremely grateful! He also took us back to the airport for departure, good communication, really nice guy. The apartment was well equipped for a self-catering stay, pots and pans, large fridge and a freezer, spotlessly clean oven and hob top. There is also a tv, music players, games etc. It also has the most gorgeous view, we saw dolphins from our bedroom on the last day! The balcony was large and had the sun all day, we ate out here, sunbathed and shaded our baby with the umbrella. The pool was lovely and refreshing with some sun beds surrounding it. We travelled with a one year old and she was very safe in the apartment and on the balcony, we were very grateful that we weren’t on edge at all and she loved it. The surrounding areas are gorgeous, the apartment is on a hill but everything is close!

Positives: - Sehr netter Kontakt zur Vermieterin mit vielen Informationen vorneweg - sauber - deutsches TV - Spülmaschine und Waschmaschine, Wasserkocher, Espressokanne, Toaster etc - Kühlakkus im Gefrierfach - schöne Strände (zB bei Zen Beach Bar) - gute Restaurants (Aldo und Mali Raj) - Tommy in Laufnähe (ca 10 Min) - schöner Ausblick Negatives: - Kein Kinderbesteck und keine Kinderteller (Plastik, Melanin oÄ) - nicht wirklich für mehr als 4 Personen geeignet oder für Eltern mit Baby. Es sind 2 Schlafzimmer, eines mit 2 Einzelbetten und eines mit einem Doppelbett. Leider ist in keinem der Zimmer noch groß Platz übrig für ein Extrabett. Wir haben eine Matratze auf den Boden gelegt, dadurch ließ sich der Schrank aber nicht mehr öffnen. Es gab zwar eine Couch mit Liegegunktion im Wohn-Essbereich mit Küche, aber die hatte keine gerade Liegefläche. Außerdem war die eben im Wohnbereich mit Fernseher und Küche - Küche ist sehr klein und hat keine echte Arbeitsfläche - Reinigung wöchentlich, allerdings wurde uns im Zimmer mit der Matratze aufm Boden die Bettwäsche nur hingelegt - viele Tische, wenig Regale oder Schränke, zB kein Stauraum in der Küche, im Bad nur ein Glasregal - Sofa war für maximal 3 Personen geeignet Neutral: - Pool ist eher klein und nur über die Straße erreichbar - Fernseher hat manchmal etwas gesponnen, DVD Player ging nicht - 4ter Stock ohne Lift - Bidet im zweiten Bad ohne Funktion - kaputter Ventilator (war bekannt) blieb in Wohnung, alter Gartenstuhl im Wohnzimmer (Funktion unklar, denn es gab genug Stühle) - der Grill in der Beschreibung ist die Funktion im Ofen - wir fanden die Matratzen zu hart Insgesamt war es eine zweckdienliche Unterkunft mit sehr netter Gastgeberin, aber leider auch etwas unpraktisch.

Spacious well equipped apartment

Lovely clean apartment with everything you need already there. Dishwasher a real bonus. Lovely pool and short walk to the lovely bay or slightly longer walk to the larger beach. Close to airport and Togir. A great place for a family holiday.

CLEAN AND GREAT VIEW

NYC-1967: We are a very active family and don’t mind walking. We walked to Copacabana Beach daily and Stopped by nearby market and fresh vegetable/fruit stand regularly. Consider bringing cooking pan spray and market bags and beach type towel. This is a walk up and a steep walking area so if you have elderly with you or some type of mobility issue this may be a challenge. It is only a $5.00 US Uber ride to downtown restaurants. You can get everything for purchase at Copacabana Beach for reasonable prices to include rental chairs. The laundry machine and drying rack is perfect as we often pack very light. JOGGERS: I suggest you bring a neon bright running shirt the roads are tight, hug the sides, I jogged to Trojar regularly the hills will challenge. * Look for homemade vino and olive oil signs and just stop by the house to purchase. Everyone is super friendly! The owner is very nice and my family and I loved our stay wished we discovered Croatia earlier!

Excellent Stay

Process was simple and easy to book with communication. Apartment has very good size bedrooms and spacious balcony. 3 minutes walk to local beach, 5/10 minutes walk to main beach with bars/restaurants/harbour.

Great Stay at Penthouse Christina

Our holiday was amazing! The penthouse apartment is exactly as described and was, in fact, even better than we dared hope for. The layout is relaxing and spacious but also very practical for a holidaying group or family. All mod cons are provided, you really need for nothing here. The apartment is cleaned and maintained to the highest standard and feels comfortable and luxurious - the finish is superb. Our beds were very comfortable and there is extra linen available. Both bedrooms are nicely furnished with plenty of hanging and drawer space. There is a small safe in the double bedroom wardrobe which gave me peace of mind for passports etc. The bathrooms are lovely, sparkling clean and the overall feeling is of high quality with marble tiling throughout. We found the kitchen to be well equipped - there was everything I needed to cook family meals. The view from the balcony is breathtaking! I spent happy mornings watching the sun rise over the sea. The balcony is spacious and well furnished. The area in which the apartment block is situated is quiet and peaceful and it really is a very pleasant (short) walk down to the beach. The beach is a gem - quiet,clean and unspoilt, the water is crystal clear and calm. There is a beach bar offering friendly service and cheap drinks and snacks - but nothing else - what a joy to be free from beach vendors and tacky gift shops. There is a supermarket, bakery (fantastic bread and cakes), fruit and veg stall and a choice of restaurants in the village so you needn't travel far unless you want to. Everything seemed very reasonably priced to us. The boat trip from main beach to the medieval town of Trogir was a highlight. Trogir is so beautiful, and again feels unspoilt and magical- the whole family enjoyed exploring there. I could go on and on... there were no negatives to this trip and I feel like I need to return to this beautiful country and discovermore. We felt very safe and welcome in Croatia. Alison has been friendly and helpful throughout the whole planning and booking process, patient and understanding when my bank transferred too little money for the deposit(!) even organising extra accommodation for us when we needed to fly out a day earlier than planned. Lovely Okrug Apartment

This is a lovely spacious apartment, very well appointed & equipped and with beautiful views over the bay - just gorgeous. We didn’t have a car but everything is in walking distance- beautiful beaches & beach bars, lovely restaurants & bakery & supermarket. Ten minutes further on is the main beach & water taxi to Trogir. Alison & David very helpful & responsive. Highly recommended.

Fantastic destination and apartment for a relaxing holiday

The apartment was in a lovely location with superb views over the bay yet still within walking distance of many beaches, restaurants and close to the new bridge giving easy access to the main land. The apartment was very spacious and clean and the team on the island provide excellent service to assist you in your stay. All communication was very quick, friendly and efficient. This was a lovely part of Croatia providing the opportunity for many boat trips in ultra clear water around the islands and many drives along the mainland to some spectacular places such as Trogir, Split, Krka Falls and delightful Primosten within easy reach. The people we met in Croatia were so friendly and helped to make our stay one of the most relaxing holidays we have had in a long time. Thank you to our host for all the information provided and assistance in booking such a wonderful apartment.

Fantastic apartment

Great location - close to 2 beaches, restaurants and supermarkets. Be prepared for walking up steep slopes around the village but its entirely worth it! Apartment is lovely - everything you need- amazing view from the balcony!

Fantastic View - Wonderful Apartment

We rented a couple of Alison's apartments Overall Croatia is a wonderful place and a place we will return too. All the family enjoyed the trip - there is so much to see and do. We loved Apartment Christina in the early season especially how quiet the area and apartment were. We experienced as much of Croatia that we could in the week we were there. Alison advised us to see Krka park and it did not disappoint, we stayed as long as we could there, it was so peaceful and being surrounded by it's natural beauty was nothing short of breathtaking. The weather was good for April and we had everything we needed in the apartment for a truly wonderful stay. We loved it and are planning a return trip later this year. Thanks Alison

Great location and apartment - Croatia is Stunning

We had a wonderful stay in Penthouse Christina. We have stayed in one of Alison's apartments before and looked forward to experiencing another part of Ciovo island. The view from the balcony is truly unbelievable, even better than the pics, plus it is HUGE!! Two loungers and a large table with chairs. The apartment has everything you need for an enjoyable stay, all mod cons, well equipped, dvd's, games, aircon etc. We will be back again. Thanks again to Alison and the rest of the team....

Our Second Stay Here...

We rented two of Alison's apartments before - Paulina and Ellie as we had a family celebration. The apartments we really clean, well equipped and being next door to each other meant we had our privacy as well as the convenience of being close by for dinners etc. This time we opted for Christina as it has a pool. Alison was great and booked us a restaurant in Trogir for my Mam's 60th. We ate in TRS and it was the perfect place for it, the courtyard is surrounded by grape vines and beautiful decor. The apartment is in an excellent location and it's walking distance to all amenities. The beach is about a 3 minute walk. We will most likely return and would recommend this place (area and apartments) to others. Thanks for a great stay.

Wonderful Holiday - Will Keep Coming Back

We have stayed in Christina before, loved it and so decided to return. Our relatives joined us from the states and we were able to show them all the places we fell in love with and some new sites too :) The apartment is spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped. It is the perfect location for venturing further afield. We explored old ruins in Split, visited Klis fortress and took a boat trip to some of the many islands nearby. The food and produce is excellent in Croatia, we eat out regularly as it good value - two restaurants that are particularly great were Sr Dela and Leonardos in Ciovo. We went to Kristians in Trogir - their homemade pasta is superb. Alison made the booking hassle free and answered any questions we had about the area, she helped us make some decisions on what to see and do. Thanks again for a great stay! Aine

Absolutely stunning views from the balcony at any time of the day or night. Spacious, very clean and comfortable apartment which is well equipped for a great stay. Only thing missing was some decent sized beer glasses.! Great support from Alison and the local staff especially David who made himself available to check us in even though it was after 10 pm when we arrived and went out of his way to help us book an unforgettable days boat trip. The apartment is well located, close enough to all amenities but quiet enough to ensure a peaceful stay. Of course being a penthouse it means that there are several floors to climb but the views and quietness easily justify the effort. Even with temperatures in the 30's we were able to maintain a comfortable temp by using the aircon in the living area and placing the bedroom fans close to the doorways. A great place to stay and happy to recommend .

One of the best holidays we have had!

We could not fault this holiday! Okrug Gornji was a beautiful destination, with everything we needed from nice beaches, ferry trips across the islands and shops to buy what was required for our self-catering accommodation and pleasant bars and restaurants. We were a a family of five, of a wide range of ages (including a 6 year old) and so we found something for us all to enjoy. The tourists are well-catered for but we were pleased to find it is still not too commercialised so it felt a little like a secret destination. We had days out to Trogir and Split (which we accessed by ferry), hired a pedlow one day and rented out a boat on another (which allowed us to visit smaller islands and the blue lagoon). We have travelled to many countries around the world and we have now put Croatia as one of our top destinations.....it is truly wonderful location that I would highly recommend!! The accommodation was clean and spacious with an amazing sea view from the balcony (as seen in the photo). We were on the top floor (so not so great for anyone who would struggle with stairs) and within a few minutes walk down hill to the beach and shops etc. It is within a pleasant little community, I envy those that live here. Alison was so helpful, professional and approachable in handling our booking and any queries we had and nothing was too much trouble and an excellent, friendly service was provided by David once we were in Croatia (including him transporting us to/from the airport, providing tourist guidance and offering to take us anywhere we wanted to go). Every holiday needs a David and an Alison!!!! The only downside was having to leave. Thank you very much Home and Away, Alison and David!!

Wonderful Week

Hi all.. This was a second trip to these set of properties, we all came earlier on this year and decided to stay again for the last of the summer sun. The holiday in Trogir (Ciovo) was absolutly perfect. I have to say that Trogir is the most powerful place in whole Croatia. We had nice weather too, over 34Celsius every day ( from 7.-14. August). It is about 3 minutes to sea from the apartmant... 1minute to the nearest market. For people who are interested in sightseeing, you can travel by water taxi (20kuna/person) to Trogir or take local bus (10kuna). We were in Trogir for 3 times.It is the jewel of Croatia. There are gorgeous monuments, romantic restaurants, fantastic shops and so on. This place is good for all generations. We were party of 6 young people (20-25 years) and we had really good time. Our apartment was fantastic. The pool was great fun but having the sea so close was perfect - the water is crystal clear. All items in the apartment were new and clean."Thumb up"! =) Communication with housekeeper was good because she is young women with skilled english, so there were not any languages problems.
