When I drove up I thought of the book the shinning. This hotrl is just we rid. The rooms are worn out. When I stayed here the baseball team was so everything revolves around them. 20 min wait for an elevator. Front desk was rude and this hotel is in no where land. The only good thing is an outstanding restaurant across the street.
Stayed overnight for a wedding at a nearby hotel. Reception desk kindly allowed us early, courteous, fast and efficient check-in with a smile. We knew right away that this visit would be a pleasant one despite the fact that the place was busy with tourists and families. They quickly arranged for local transportation. The room had a magnificent view of the ocean and surrounding area, generally crop fields planted with the local specialty - purple yam (beni imo or ube). Room was quiet, clean, comfortable, quite spacious with a balcony and good amenities. In-room free wifi needs to be upgraded. The Japanese public bath included in free guest amenities was unexpected but an added value: clean and spacious and had both an outdoor and indoor area plus a sauna. Would be good Japanese experience for any foreigner; naked, separate for sexes. Outdoor pool was closed for the season, but both the pool and the beach looked quite good for a swim and long soak in better weather. The breakfast buffet was sumptuous with a wide variety of Japanese, western and Asian style choices. Best to come in past 8 am; very busy before then. Rate was very competitive and of great value. (Parking is not included but is just JPY 500/day at a very secure lot. All vehicles entering the property were required to pass a ticket gate for added security.) Will definitely visit again and would recommend.
Great view. Good service. Clean room, though a bit too small for 2 adults and 2 kids. Breakfast buffet is ok, not really impressive. Quite a lot of native Japanese tourists stay in this hotel. There is a popular Japanese restaurant outside the hotel. Price reasonable.
Disappointing stay. Staff friendly but the hotel will gouge you on every opportunity. Want a towel at pool - pay extra. Want to park in the car park - residents pay. Want a table on beach - US$40 for the day. Even charge you for ice in your own room ¥100! Want to scuba dive? US when you hire gear too! Crap evening show. Restaurants internally poor quality and expensive. Go to local alt options. Going cheap on their lobby fish tank. Our boy trying to spot a fish. No luck! Seek alt accommodation. Greg.
Hotels in Okinawa seem quite expensive, but the Zampanisaki is pretty reasonable compared to many. This is a very big hotel, in some ways quite impersonal, but made much less so by the uniformly very lovely staff. The location is great, the Zampa penninsular is very picturesque, the two nearby beaches clean and low key. Zampa beach has nets for safe swimming, and a handy beach bar. I'd steer clear of all the restaurants in the hotel, there are half a dozen them, they seem acceptable in there own way, but you are only going to get very mass produced food, which then has the added disbenefit of being quite expensive as well. So you'd want a car if you stay here, as there are some great places to eat within a few miles. The pool is OK, and there are tennis courts that have seen better days, but do well enough, though the cost seems a tad high. It would be easy to give this hotel a 2 or a 3 star rating without a car. But with a car it just manages a 4. Just bear in mind what it is, a very big, slightly tired and soulless feeling, but admittedly efficient hotel aimed at the Japanese mass market, in a beautiful spot, with surprisingly friendly and caring staff. If you can cope with that it'll be OK, if not find yourself a boutique hotel elsewhere.
We had great time in this hotel. Relaxing and comfortable. But the location is far from the downtown so its suit for the travellers with car. The beach is about 5 mins walking to and it's nice and quiet. The hotel is not far from the attractions about Murasakimura, Zakimi Castle and Ryukyu Mura with driving.There are only 1 restaurant around here.The breakfast needs to be improving.
Very large and comfortable rooms as a four star should provide. Few restaurants with variety of food. A combination of buffet with all-you-can-drink gives the best for a dinner on the top floor restaurant. Very small beach with very limited swimming area and the pool is opened till 6 p.m. only, also most of the staff speak very limited English. Bardzo duże i komfortowe pokoje jak na cztery gwiazdki przystało. Spory wybór jedzenia, restauracja i bar na najwyższym piętrze. Efekt psuje malutka plaża z mętną wodą i basen czynny tylko do 18. Obsługa mówi bardzo słabo po angielsku, co jest standardem w Japonii.
A nice, large, resort hotel in the west-middle of Okinawa. The hotel is surrounded by open fields and the ocean. Nice tranquil area. WI-FI in the rooms, however, it is very slow and times out often. The rooms are nice, clean and roomy. There are 5 restaurants which according to group members, all are excellent.
We stayed here while hosting and event and activities for hundreds of guests. The rooms were old and dated and in need of repair. The elevators were painfully slow - had to wait 10 minutes every time I needed one. The hotel was rather full but that wait time still far exceeds what I have come to expect. The food was ok. The location is pretty. Overall it's a decent hotel but I would not stay there again.
The hotel is located right next to the famous Zampam Light House and is also quite a good location to act as a base to travel to other parts of Okinawa. The hotel has all the things that you will need and the shop at the ground level also comes in handy for various stuff such as snacks and drinks. The breakfast is OK but it would be good if there are more western choices including egg stations. But this is perhaps cultural difference and it may not be a bad idea to break away from normal routine while on holiday. The rooms are large and clean with a balcony. With a sea view room, we can see sunset inside the room although we didn't as it is actually nicer to watch sunset either in the beach or around the light house. The English of most staff is not sufficient to communicate but the hotel has assigned a few English speaking staff to help which is good. One lady who is particularly helpful is K Matisida in the travel and information desk. She not only answer our questions in very detail but also proactively update us on changes (e.g. weather conditions caused cancellation of our blue cave dive) so that we can plan our schedule earler. Without her help, we will not be as happy during our stay. Thank you. There is also a wind generator next to the hotel, could be a good place to take some photos. See some of my photos uploaded here.
