This hotel is located on a hill. You need a car to get up here . Parking is free . The hotel staff were excellent , even helping us to phone another hotel . Rooms are of a decent size some with excellent view . Onsen is in the next building . Entry 800yen. Quite nice with the silk bath and another one with the massaging jets of water . Towels are provided in the onsen . Breakfast was adequate with both western and Japanese selection . What I disliked about the place was the poor wifi during peak time use . Beds were rather hard and noise proofing poor . Request for a room away from the lift lobby to avoid noise from inconsiderate people .
What I like: (a) Decent size room; (b) city view that makes your breakfast more enjoyable. What I don’t like: (a) its a long way down the hill to go to the city; (b) you have to pay 800yen to use the onsen. Other hotels offer free use of their onsen. Note: the WiFi slows down during peak evening period.
Information was provided that the hotel was walking distance to the beach, when in fact its a 15 minute 1,350 Yen taxi ride to the beach. The facilities are old and outdated. The hotel has a very small unattractive free fitness area - there is no pool, and all other spa serivices are overpriced. The included breakfast is poor quality, and the internet is unstable. When asked if we could have a refund for our last three days so we could move to another hotel, they said no and told us it was no problem if we wanted to write a negative review --- so here it is!
Hotel is a tired 1960s decorated hotel. Rooms though spacious contain beds which are little more than box springs with a piece of plywood that cause back issues for anyone over 20. The air conditioning is non existent in the elevators and public bathrooms and lacks appropriate circulation in one's room. Staff speaks limited English though tries to be helpful. The putting a paid sticker on a bottle of mineral water is a bit over the top. You have no real access to the lounge area with a wonderful picture window as they use it for a restaurant overflow. They have closed one restaurant, one takes three days to reserve a table,. The buffet is nice but lacks ambience. The outside balcony serves pizza that is not appropriately cooked in the middle. The chairs in your room are frayed at the edges, there are stains on the carpet, although general cleanliness is good.
Stayed in this hotel with the family to explore the central and southern parts of Okinawa before moving to Naha for the final part of the trip. The room is kind of tight for three of us but comfortable nevertheless. Breakfast is delicious and the Okinawa ice-cream was especially good although it is unusual to have ice-cream at breakfast. Driving is probably recommended for a stay in this hotel as it is up a small hill. It is near by driving to the AEON mall which provides convenient place for food and selected shopping. Driving to places of interests is about 30min even for those in the south. A special mention of gratitude to the hotel staff for assisting with the misplaced key for a piece of our luggage. A comfortable stay for the family!
This hotel is very close to Aeon mall, very convenient. The room including the bathroom are super big and very clean. The room I stay has a tatami area which me and my girlfriend can just sit there and having some beer and snacks. This hotel gave us two free drinks at the lounge bar which I can see the night view of Okinawa. very lay-back. The breakfast is also amazing which I wish I could eat every dishes. The parking lot is very big, so don't worry about the parking space.
This hotel is not what I expect for the cost. I will not stay here again. Much of the staff does not understand English. The beds are hard even for Japan. The rooms are noisy. You can hear everything going on. This is a tourist hotel. Many guests who are not respectful of noise and general courtesies. I had to call at 2330 every night because of the noise level. Grand Mer in Okinawa is cheaper with better amenities and staff.
High above the Shimabuku area of Kitanakagusuku overlooking the new Aeon Mall, it has a nice view of the surrounding areas. It was a short ride to the World Heritage Nakagusuku Castle ruins. The hotel has large comfortable rooms. Free WI-FI in the rooms. Breakfast buffet on the basement floor restaurant was included in my package. A nice selection of healthy and delicious dishes.
This resort is located on top of a hill and from our room with a view of the town nearby (and US army base). It is conveniently located near a huge AEON shopping center so, if the nearby town does not offer much, you can spend your time in there (especially on rainy days). The resort has a nice big onsen which I enjoyed during early morning and night, before going to sleep. The Realxation room is also recommended, especially after onsen. I would suggest to pay a visit to the japanese restaurant on the ground floor where they have an all you can eat course. The sushi is excellent and it is freshly made in front of you. They also have a milk ice cream which I found very tasty and very low-fat. Regarding the breakfast: It is mostly asian in the sense that there is lots of typical japanese breakfast items (natto, tofu, rice, rice porridge, differnt vegetables, fish), some bread (croissant and plain bread), three interesting jams (tomato, bitter gourd, ginger) and little meat (sausages and soem great ham). Nevertheless, food was all tasty and service is good. Waiters speak some english. Would I go there again? Definitely yes.
I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the spa. Everything was very relaxed and clean. My friends and I all went together and got the acupressure massage. We were given a set of scrubs and two towels for the onsen and steam room. Afterwards, we enjoyed the onsen and paid afterwards at the lobby. The acupressure massage with the onsen included was ¥6000. They also have other packages and specials. If you want to make a reservation just call the number listed and the staff may call you back with an English representative.
