The staff is so polite here. Amazing mannerisms, and very kind. The Hotel is beautiful, the photos do not do it justice. Our room with the ocean view was so calming and beautiful. You can hear the waves from the ocean. Highly recommend this hotel!

The property is CLEAN and QUIET. The staff is REMARKABLE and ready to serve. The COST is reasonable. Positives: quiet, great restaurant, clean rooms, kitchenette in room with coffee maker, cost effective Negatives: would have preferred cotton sheets, a more comfortable bed, beach is 2 minute walk but NOT a swimmable beach ... you need to go to the other side of the island for cleaner, calmer waters. A note about the island: they take USD but only give change in BBD - best to go to the island with BBD rather than USD.

I love everything about this place, from when I checked in, from the room, the people at the restaurant in the bar, the rooms itself, and all that. The biggest con that this place has, it’s that is too far from most of the things going on in Barbados, such as savvy on the bay, brownes Beach, Boatyard and everything else that goes on, on the west beach. HOWEVER, you’re only 24BBD away from Oistins Fish market so it’s definitely a blessing to be close and not a far drive to be away from. This hotel is more of a secluded location and more slowed down. Other than that, I will come back and rent out this hotel again in the future.

South Point Hotel in Barbados is a hidden gem on the south coast with excellent service and delicious food. We had a fantastic and comfortable stay. The staff were exceptionally friendly and professional.The beds were soooo comfortable! It is highly likely that we will be visiting again before the year is out!

Great property and fairly new, I believe less than 2 years or so. The suite was amazing, 2 bedrooms and bathrooms, spacious living room as well. The beach behind the property is not really one to lounge and swim in. We had to drive about 15 mins or so to get the beach experience. Only one restaurant on site, luckily the food was great lol. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Only downside is that you have to drive everywhere since the resort is secluded and away from the “tourist area”. Still would recommend and will stay here again.

Just wow! My family enjoyed the stay here. We were picked up by our driver who gave us a great experience as well. We were checked in by Dhaggio and he was so helpful and made sure the check in went smooth and didn't take long. He helped us daily to find restaurants to go to since we wanted to experience Barbados outside of the hotel. He organized our drop offs and pickups which was helpful. My visit was for my Birthday and family trip and my husband worked with Whitley to organize my Birthday surprise and it was one of the best surprises by far. The details to my favorite cake, sweet wine, the Birthday cards (also signed by Fabian and the rest of the staff) and the decor was A . Whitley also helped us get the real Barbados experience and made my family and myself feel like family. Thank you South Point Hotel Staff for a great trip and wonderful experience and we will definitely be back.

This hotel was so niceeee, nothing short of an amzing experience from my worker friends, to the room, to the restaurant/bar ,to the private beach . I would stay here everytime I come to barbados! It is a little further from everything else but i wouldn't have it any other way!

We chose this place just for an overnight stay, as we had a cruise to catch the following day. At first, the reception was warm, but the lady there, had no idea of what she was doing, forever asking the one beside her what to do. Then we were taken to our room. Cheap decoration . It smelt of mold everywhere, but the pillows and bathroom were unbearable. Dinner at Driftwood was very good and tasty, but it couldn’t be charged to the room. They came knocking at the door late in the evening with the machine in hand to pay. The breakfast menu ran out of continental breakfast at 9:30 AM (really?). Fortunately, a kind server was able to get some toast and coffee for us. The man at reception in the morning, was extremely unpleasant and treated us rudely. I’m surprised this hotel is rated 4.5* stars. It’s more like 2* stars. The bathroom counter was cracked, the shampoo and bath gel shelf had fallen out from the shower wall and was just left on the counter, and 1 lamp was burnt out! No phone in the room, so if we wanted anything, we had to walk up and down two flights of stairs, every time. No normal TV, just Netflix, so you can’t watch the news channels, only movies. Nearby beach is not an option. I would never recommend this place.

Heaven with a smile

Let me start by saying there is no better staff. Keith, Hisani, Melanie, Michael, and many others, everyone, everyone had a smile, said hello, went above and beyond, and frankly, made us feel like we were long time friends. You take that, and couple that with the quality of the food, and the location of the hotel, there's nothing left to want. There's a nearby surf bar with music, drinks, and decent food (less than five minutes walk). The hotel is a 2 minute walk to a beach and you can walk along the beach in either direction for 20-30 minutes. The beds were comfy, the rooms were appointed well, the water pressure and temp were perfect, and the internet worked as it should for a video meeting. The front desk ensured that we knew what to see on the island, recommendations for local spots for food, drink, and sightseeing, and they coordinate the shuttle as needed, sometimes with little to no notice. I would not change a thing. I look forward to a return trip in the very near future and seeing the staff with their welcoming smiles.
