I do not often take the time to write a review. Only when I am positively surprised or exactly the opposite and “it really needs to be done”. This one concerns the latter. In a nutshell: we had to pay twice for 1 room due to an error of the hotel. And the hotel manager refuses to refund the money the hotel is not entitled to. We picked this hotel as a “stopover” in our trip from Amsterdam to the South of France. As we had to work till late in the afternoon before we could travel we could not drive all the way from Amsterdam to the south of France in one go (we did not want to drive after midnight). We made an reservation in advance and received a nice confirmation with the details of the hotel including a phone number and a confirmation of a 24h reception availability. When we arrived at 23:10 at the hotel, quite keen to get some rest after a long day of work and driving, we were unpleasantly surprised to see that the reception was closed contrary to a confirmed 24h reception availability. At the hotel gate a kind of ATM portal was available but it could only be used for booking a room. It did not provide a room key when we tried to get one with our reservation number. So we tried to contact the hotel via the confirmed hotel number. Sadly this was of no help as our call was answered by an answering machine. A number available on the "ATM portal" did not seem to be a phone number but we tried it anyway but again with no result. Looking for alternatives on the internet and thus spending more costs on expensive data and phone time (as we had to use our Dutch phones in France) only resulted in more answering machines and living person that could finally help us to get our room key. And consulting other guest did not offer a solution though they kindly tried to help us at this late hour. So after half an hour of frustration trying to get our room key at the "ATM portal" while it was raining and us being very eager to sleep at 23:40 we decided to book another room. This is was something the "ATM machine" was eager to allow as it obviously meant more money for the hotel. We trusted wholeheartedly that the monetary part of the issue could be resolved with the staff the next day. After a night sleep and a breakfast that was what you might expect from a medium cost hotel, not good but ok, we explained our issue to the girl on duty. As the manager was not available she promised this issue would be discussed with the manager and thus full with joy and expecting a honest solution we left the hotel to continue our trip to the south of France. This was mid of April this year 2017. Now the 1st of September, 4.5 months, about 20 E-mails and phone calls later this issue has still not been resolved. Also the centralised Louvre Hotels service organisation, has not been able to resolve this with their own hotel. The only offer made is a “business gesture refund” of about half the room rate. This offer I have gracefully declined. (Note that the my contact at the French centralised Louvre hotels service organisation was very professional, friendly, quick to respond and very fluent in English. So bonus points for him. He just seems not to have much empowerment. ) Final comments: We are not casual travellers. We have travelled in many (50+) countries on all continents (except Antarctica, smile!). We use both budget and high end accommodations as well as all in between and we have experienced some challenges more than once which is to be expected and are perfectly understandable most of the times. However 1 thing I can’t stand and that is dishonesty and fraud. Our experience with Campanile Senlis Louvre Hotels fits in this last category. So we definitely do not recommend this place until a new person is appointed as manager as well as some much needed empowerment for the people at the centralised service organisation.

I always stay in Senlis my last night in France. Historic town and straight down A1 to CDG airport. Usually stay next door at Ibis but tried Campanile this time. I liked the room because it was spacious and quiet, close enough to the old part of town and the blackout electric metal blinds on the exterior of window. Also the room door opened right on to the parking lot so I could just step outside and smoke. Friendly people at the desk and breakfast options were plentiful. Lots to see in Senlis and if you are there Friday mornings go to the open air market downtown.

My room at Campanile Senlis was rather small and basic, but clean and adequate. The air conditioner worked fine, a plus since France was unseasonably hot while I was there. There is no refrigerator or ice maker, but there is a restaurant where you can purchase a cold drink. We purchased the breakfast buffet and it was fine.

The restaurant is a grill-focused place with some decent items on the menu. The staff is absolutely fantastic, always greeting you with a smile. Although one might think that it is just another hotel restaurant, it is actually a surprisingly good place to eat.

As the above states, recently refurbished, very clean and smart, good car park, rooms are a bit compact but big enough for 3 days. Could do with a fridge in the room as apart from the restaurant and McDonalds next door there's nothing else to pop into for supplies. Decent walk to the main town for a choice of food etc.

at first sight the hotel look nice but having a look round the room I found things like The towels and bedding look dirty the shower could do with a good clean a good scrub bad black marks on the walls and doors the beds are not all that I sat in the garden and kept getting bitton hat to go inside the hotel you got an ibis next door I do not think much about the ibis hotels but I think it looks ok from the out side I will try it next time this hotel for one night is €140 for a single room the ibis is €130 for two persons

Stayed here two nights and it was ok. Clean enough with a modern touch. I imagine it might start to show wear and tear soon but for now it's acceptable. My only gripe about this place was that their towels were not the newest, nor spotless. They were probably clean but they had stains on them and looked worn. I wish I had brought my own. Also no amenities or bedroom slippers are provided, so bring your own cotton buds, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and slippers if you need to. Apart from this, the bathroom is very decent, new and modernized. The shower is small, but the water pressure is excellent and there's lots of hot water. Mind you don't flush the loo while someone is in the shower though, as they'll get a burst of water that's too hot. There is a hair dryer, and a kettle with disposable cups and lids - great for having tea in the morning on the go. Great TV size, and comfortable bed. It's a fairly spacious room and I appreciate the double door system considering the main door leads right outside (motel style). Parking is free, very easy, and the location is just off the main road to Senlis. Just be sure to ignore google maps and look for the McDonalds - that's where you turn in. Google maps will take you round to the back of the hotel which is blocked off. Overall I wouldn't choose to stay here again, but it was cheap and decent for the price. As mentioned, just bring your own towel for use and you'll have a decent experience.

A clean bed and a roof over our heads but very basic with disinterested staff. I wouldnt use again as im sure better are available for the money. We foolishly opted for breakfast which started to be cleared away about 30 minutes before service was due to stop..................................

My husband, disabled Brother, small dog and I were travelling from South Wales to Spain and stayed here on the first night. The rooms were clean and nearly suitable for our needs -ensuite. The only problem being that the room on the ground floor was a double bed, which did not suit my needs - that of a ground floor room that a disabled person and carer could stay in. The only alternative was a first floor room with twin beds - however this was not suitable, my brother would not have been able to climb the stairs. The restaurant was easily accessible, allowed the dog in with us. The food enjoyable. I would recommend this accommodation for anyone who is going to go around Paris early the next morning, or anyone who has struggled through the Paris rush hour to get out of Paris.

Hôtel sympa le seule bémol est que quand vous réserver attention le prix au moment de la reservation peux varié exemple moi j ai réserver deux nuit la première nuit niquel j ai payer ce qui étais annoncer par contre le lendemain il m annonce que cela est passe a 130 euros franchement c est abuser il font ce qui veulent avec leurs prix ils m ont dit que vous réserver simplement la chambre c est tous fait bien attention a ce genre de mésaventure
