We had a great experience at hotel Otrada overall. Very nice room and nice facilities close to the beach. Only problem was that we had one of their golf carts take us to the beach. It started raining and we called them to come pick us up. They never showed up. When we called they said the driver had left for the day and wasn't coming to get us. So we had to walk back to the hotel uphill and in the rain. When we got there we complained to the front desk and they just kind of looked at us and nodded. No apologies or explanations. Now this seems to be a common reaction in Odessa in general. Service can be slow or poor and when you complain about it there's never any explanation or apology. To someone from the USA this comes across as very poor customer service and would never be tolerated in the states. But I understand this is a different country so maybe this is just the way it is. I think this area can be improved but it needs to come from the top down.
The staff is great & my stay was very enjoyable. If you are going to Odessa I recommend this hotel. WiFi signal was strong and the dinning room was clean with good food.
Great Hotel but a bit out of the way. Melting snow made it hade to get in and out. Should be great in summer. Room and restaurant is outstanding.
Staff wery frendly and they help in any metter. What is missing ih hotel which prefere be with hight reiting. All rooms need have staff for tuts and shave. This time you can get this on request. In general good hotel and staff.
This hotel had excellent accomodations. I felt very comfortable from the minute I arrived all the way until I left. The staff were all very attentive and spoke English well. I travel a lot in the US and the room had everything that I have come to expect, including high speed internet access. It is a small hotel with a lot of charm and grace. Their were only 2 small issues, that were not that big a deal to me. It is not located in the City Center, so you are taking taxi's and their were no English speaking stations on the TV. Minor issues to me. I would definitely come back.
Check in and all front desk interactions were great, including drawing on a city map the best way to get certain places in the city walking or by taxi. Room was clean and shower was Great. I was gone from the hotel most days but did have supper there some nights, food service was very good and the food was good. The business center was very disappointing because I could not access either of my e-mail accounts and this was how I told people they could best contact me. I walked to another hotel and used their business center 2 times. They were wonderful and even as a non-guest of their hotel did not charge me for using their internet services. After telling the staff that the internet was not working properly twice I did not bring it up again. If you are 5 star you fix it. For me this is not 5 star because if you advertise a business center then you should have one that is guest friendly.
