Bed was very worn out, did not get much sleep. Could not change channels on TV without standing in front of it. The staff was extremely friendly, I arrived early and they made a great effort to get my room ready early.
The hotel itself was GREAT but one of the staff members had the nerve to tell my AUTISTIC SON who is 10 years old by the way, that the hotel was haunted and my son was scared for the rest of the night. He wouldn't go to sleep so therefore I didn't get any sleep. I told management and to my surprise they wasn't surprised as if this has been done before..Maybe I need to mention that my family is African American...
Lovely room, only negative was odor in hallway and soiled runners and stairs.
This was a wonderful getaway for my husband and I. Beautiful setting and a relaxing experience. Authentic and rich in history, this hotel takes you back in time. I love that the whole town was inviting and seemed to be unified in telling the story that history has claimed. The food at the hotel is out of this world delicious too. I think we will definitely be back here again.
