The small village of Tanne is a true heritage town, nestled amidst beautiful coniferous forests at an altitude of 500 meters. Extensive hiking and cycling trails, as well as a 7.5-kilometer circular hiking trail with information panels, allow all guests to explore the impressive natural surroundings of Tanne in an exciting way.

Nearby Activities: Whether hiking or mountain biking, a fun-filled family vacation with children, or a culturally and historically interesting trip with friends: the Harz National Park has something for everyone. The most beautiful hiking trails pass almost right by your holiday accommodation and promise you unparalleled impressions of nature. A great alternative to climbing the Brocken is a hike to the Wurmberg in Braunlage. Lower Saxony's highest mountain is easily manageable even for inexperienced hikers and offers an almost equally spectacular panorama when visibility is good. For even greater comfort, you can glide to the summit in the modern gondolas of the cable car. How about a visit to the high ropes course in St. Andreasberg? We also highly recommend a visit to the Western town of Pullman City (near Hasselfelde, about ten kilometers away) and the famous Rübeland stalactite caves, especially for families with children.
