Stayed for a few nights to relax after a trip to Munich. Hotel is in a very nice location with views of the German alps all around. Easily walkable to the main portion of town with numerous shops, bars, and restaurants. The hotel staff was great, very friendly and helpful. The breakfast area was clean and well stocked and the lady working the breakfast area would offer to make eggs for us in the mornings. There is a washer and dryer on site if you have to do some laundry. Overall a great place to stay.

This is an amazing hotel! The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about the good places to visit in the surrounding area. We were given free bus passes so we could go to visit numerous tourist sites without having to use the rental car. The breakfast at the hotel had lots of variety and we enjoyed eating there. The rooms were spacious and clean and we had a lovely view of the church across the street. We will definitely return to this hotel if we ever have the opportunity to stay in Oberammergau sometime in the future.

Window curtains let too much light in. Step at door and from bathroom make it very easy to trip over. Require cash ahead of time for breakfast. Rather noisy at times.

You will not be disappointed. The staff is lovely and attentive and the rooms are comfortable. This little town is a gem, and this hotel is a great place to stay. Highlights were the morning breakfast, and the afternoon gluewein and homemade cookies on the terrace. The staff makes you feel like family! Highly recommend.

Overall, the hotel is clean, the staff is friendly and the location is great. However, there was something up with our bathroom that made it smell like raw sewage in there all the time, so you had to keep the door closed and the window open all the time or your whole room would smell. Also, the water pressure in the shower was definitely lacking and the bathroom needs major improvements. Parking was also problematic, especially with the construction nearby. That may be an issue for most hotels in the area, but was a huge pain for us. I would bypass this hotel for my next trip to Oberammergau.
