Good motel. Only convenience though is the venue next door, otherwise is long way out of town and not walkable. Mobile phone reception is terrible or non existent. Food and wine prices frightfully expensive in venue. Is for the high rollers I expect.

Have stayed at the barn many times. Nice, modern and clean rooms. This time was no exception. Unfortunately didn't have time to get to the steakhouse but I highly recommend it based on my previous stays. Good location but only downside is if you want to get a cab into Mt Gambier for some drinks and back, it's gonna cost you about $40 return.

The room was spacious and the facilities were decent, and we really enjoyed the spa. However, the sofa bed became uncomfortable after a while, and the lanai hadn’t been cleaned — it was covered in leaves and mud. The most frustrating part was the mosquitoes inside the room; no matter how many we killed, they just kept coming. While I understand that it might be difficult for the hotel to control, the reality is that during our one-night stay, we were woken up three times by mosquito bites, killed four mosquitoes, and my daughter ended up with seven bites. Overall, the accommodation was okay, but it definitely didn’t feel worth the price of over $300 per night.
