Spacious family-friendly chalet w/fenced dog run & large deck near the lake/Wisp

Welcome to Parks and Deck, our centrally located, dog friendly chalet with filtered lake views just 1/4 mile from the lake! Wisp Ski Resort and Deep Creek Lake State Park are both within a 10 minute drive. After a day of adventures, relax on the deck or cuddle up in front of the fireplace with a good book and a glass of wine. Our fully-stocked kitchen is ready for you, but Brenda’s Pizza and other restaurants are just minutes away. Games, a fenced in dog run, and a pack n play are available too!

The space
Enter the house through the front yard, which is a fenced in dog run for your furry companions. Walk into the kitchen which is stocked with all the gadgets you’ll need to whip up a meal including a full set of pots and pans, baking ware, kitchen aid mixer, and a dual drip/single serve coffee maker. The den/living area next to the kitchen has a day bed with two twin mattresses (the bottom one pulls out). The great room has open concept living and dining, and filtered lake views out over the deck. Step onto the huge back deck (the full length of the house) which is also fenced, and enjoy a meal or sit by the fire. There are a couple couches and chairs in the living room in front of the gas fireplace, along with a TV with a DVD player (we stock lots of movies!) and a Roku with sound bar. On your way to the main floor primary bedroom with en suite bathroom and walk in closet, indoor and outdoor games are stocked, including a Ms. Pac-Man arcade unit.

Upstairs, there are two additional bedrooms, one king and one queen, which each have their own closet and dresser and smart TV.

The house has high speed Xfinity wifi, and there are desks in the primary bedroom and upstairs king bedroom - great for remote/telework.

For families, we have a pack n play, high chair, and children’s dinner ware on hand. We have two small step stools, one on each floor to help little ones reach the sinks if needed.

NOTE: 4 wheel drive and/or chains are REQUIRED in winter months. There is a steep gravel road that leads up to the house.

There is a steep hill and gravel road leading to the house, so 4 wheel drive or chains are required in the winter months.

Great stay!

This home is very nice and in a great location. Within 15 minutes of everything around DCL area. Great deck space with fire pit for relaxing and plenty of games and an arcade machine that the kids loved. Host was very responsive and everything was easy to find in the house.

Winter get away

The property was perfect for a quick get away. The house had plenty of space, the arcade game had everyone enjoying time together and we had everything we needed. The Xbox was also a great feature for my son who packed his PS5 also. He had fun playing on both. I loved we only needed to bring our food and nothing more. The view was amazing as it snowed while we were there. Thanks again for sharing your home with my family.

Family Fun

First day sledding and playing with the games at the house. Love Pacman arcade. Remaining days hiked the paths of the park, played, enjoyed the house alot! Nobody wants to leave. Fantastic home and location.

Great long weekend

This house provided us with everything we needed for a long weekend away with our grandkids. The kids loved the house and all it offered. We love being at the lake and this house did not disappoint. The only negetive was that the host was not as avaialbe to answer questions has all other reviews had indicated. Small repairs needed to some of the outside items. This in no way hindered our stay or the enjoyment of the house. Would definitlay rent again

Perfect family stay!

We loved our stay! The house was fully stocked with everything we could need, including kitchen basics. It was beautifully and comfortably decorated while remaining family-friendly. The children loved the vintage arcade game and the she-shed. The adults loved the nice big deck and the choice of both fire table and fire pit. We had a minor issue (the upstairs AC wasn't working when we first arrived), but the owner responded to all messages promptly and quickly sent someone to fix the problem satisfactorily. We would absolutely stay here again!

Great Stay!

This property was great! Very clean and well stocked home! Loved the board games and Ms PAC Man machine! Also great fenced area for the dogs to roam off leash! Close to all activities and great outdoor space, hammock was wonderful for relaxing! We enjoyed the propane fire pit on the deck and the umbrella over the table for lunches! Overall a great trip for our family!

Fun but 4WD is a must

We had an adventure staying at the property. Chris was very accomdating to fix any minor issues. The home was clean and fit our family needs. Our pups enjoyed walking around in the fenced in section in the front and exploring the neighborhood on the walks. The spot is literrally down the street from WISP which was clutch. My father-in-law didnt have 4WD so his truck got stuck at the bottom of the hill. We made it work and still made it to our appointment for snow tubing. Overall awesome experience and my father-in-law will be better prepared with 4WD.

Great Winter Vacay Property

I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the property. Rules were simple, location was nice, Ample space for the group we were with, and the amenities of the property were very nice. The only minor downside for us were the dog area seemed smaller than advertised, but we made it work for our dogs.

Well stocked home!

Never have I been to such a well-stocked rental home! They have literally thought of everything (at least everything that I could think of!). Lot's of nature around (we were visited by a deer family every day across the road from us). The kitchen is well stocked with spices and dishes and even a Kitchen Aid mixer if you need one! The home was roomy and well-lit. A + that we could bring our fur babies with us! My only issue is the road up to the home. I know that they said it was gravel and 4-wheel drive is needed in winter, however we had to use 4-weheel drive in the Summer... the road is gravel/rock but there are pits and pot holes on every square inch, so we had a very bumpy ride up and down every time we went somewhere. This, of course, is not the owners fault, but just wanted to give renters a heads-up. Otherwise the trip and rental were fantastic!

Family getaway!

The property looked just like the photos. We were centrally located and were able to come and go. The ages of our group were from 6 months to 76 and everyone enjoyed the tranquillity the property offered. Can’t wait to come again!!
