Awesome Getaway

We had an awesome week at Sapphire Retreat. It's in an awesome location where you can walk to the Intracoastal or the beach and is close to many restaurants, shops and other beaches and we were able to easily get to Wilmington and Sunset Beach as well. The dogs loved the big fenced yard and all the extras provided made our stay extra special. It was honestly better than I expected and I'd stay there again for sure!

Enjoyed Sapphire Retreat

We enjoyed Oak Island and our stay at Sapphire Retreat! House was clean and everything was as listed. We rented a golf cart for our long weekend and glad we did to get around the island and to the beach. Loved that we were able to bring our dog!

Awesome property in a great location!

Sapphire Retreat is a beautiful location in a great area of Oak Island. The house had everything you would need for a vacation. The property manager was great to communicate with. We greatly enjoyed our stay and look forward to staying at this property again in the future!

This was our second time at Oak Island, but our first in this lovely home. This home came with everything we needed and a lot more! The neighborhood was really peaceful and it was close to the beach which we were happy about. Highly recommend if you want something not too small or not too big and somewhere really comfortable. Thank you!

Great stay!

This property looks even better in person than the photos. It was very clean. The host got back to me immediately anytime I had a question. It was fully stocked with everything you would need. And if you're going there with small children there are tons of games and fun activities and puzzles there for them to do. Highly recommend this stay.

Very cozy & clean!

This house had everything we needed for our stay. We enjoyed relaxing in the backyard playing games, between our weekend wedding events. The neighborhood was perfect for walking and quiet at night. The hosts provided bathroom amenities which were a very nice touch. Very nice location to shops and the beach. It was a great weekend!

First time to Oak Island

We had a very nice stay at our rental. It was exactly like the pictures. It was nice to have 4 beach chairs and corn hole to use. The house had numerous items to help you with your stay- hand soap, dish soap, laundry soap, tissues, tp, etc. The owner was very accomodating to our needs. The dogs loved the fenced in backyard.

Quiet Ocean Town for a Relaxing Get Away

The house was well stocked with supplies, including beach equipment (chairs, wagon, toys, etc). The house also included a dog bed and kennel which was a nice surprise because the kennel was larger than the travel kennel we brought with. The house was clean and worked great for our family. It's a short 5 or 10 minute drive to the beach access points throughout the island, and the same distance to get to multiple food and desert options.

We had a wonderful week! With the easy access to the beach, we could go for an hour or two, come back for lunch, and not feel like we had to spend a whole day to make it worth it. This is a beautiful home, very clean, and well laid out. Large open living/dining area with a table for six, made a great place to gather and play games in the evenings. The fenced yard was wonderful for Luna, my daughter’s dog. It was wonderful to have beach chairs and boogie boards there, and not have to drag those from home. Extra bonus—the outdoor shower to rinse the sand off! It was a very peaceful, family vacation. This house was the perfect space!

Sapphire Retreat was one of the best vacation rentals we’ve stayed at—in many years of renting. The house was clean, simple, and well-planned. We each had a bedside light! Ample kitchen supplies and coffee options! Nothing overly complicated! Such an easy house to stay in. The layout is great, in that the laundry room and 2nd bath separate the master from the other 2 bedrooms. The house felt bigger than it was. We and our dog all enjoyed the fenced backyard. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful; walking in the evening was lovely. We are older (90 & 73), and drove to 3 beaches nearby, but the walk looks pleasant. Great, responsive, and helpful landlord. We had a wonderful time on Oak Island, and John’s home was a big part of that.
