Lovely Home, Great Location

We really enjoyed the location of the house having stayed further down the beach previously. It was close to the store, restaurants and stores. Our kids liked riding their bikes in the neighborhood. Everything was clean and the layout of the house worked very well for us. I think walking to the beach with small children from the house may be tough as you have to cross a four-lane road, but it was close and easy driving wise. Would definitely stay here again!

Great place.

Visited for Labor Day Weekend. The property was exactly as listed. Beautiful home and had everything a family would need. The property owners were able to communicate in a timely manner and made everything a breeze! The neighbors were very friendly and location of the home was convenient to everything around. We really enjoyed our visit!

Beach Vibes

We loved the size and layout of the house. The kitchen was very organized. The fenced in area was perfect for our dogs and we enjoyed the front porch in the morning We did decide to get a golf cart because it was about a 20 minute walk to the beach.

Family Get-a-way

We have enjoyed ourselves tremendously. Sometimes you have to disconnect to everyday hustle and bustle to reconnect with family, and we did just that. From morning coffee on the swing while the dogs play, to cornhole games and playing Jenga with our children. Our two fur babies really enjoyed the freedom of running around and playing in the yard. This home is absolutely beautiful! We look forward to staying at Tranquil Harbour again.

Celebrating Christmas & 50 years of family

We wanted someplace to stay as we celebrated our 50 years of marriage plus Christmas with our adult children and granddogs. We have so few times in our busy lives to be all together, so staying here was extra special. This was our 1st time renting any location, and this 3 bedroom, 2-1/2 bath home was exactly what we wanted/needed. Things that most impressed us: - great street presence on quiet street with 2 driveways so both cars could be parked off the street - fenced in backyard open to the back door for our dogs to play in - communal space (living, kitchen, dining) all one large room - kitchen had all the tools Dad needed (and some we hadn’t thought we needed) to cook all the meals plus full-sized frig, stove, dishwasher, microwave. Also K-cup coffee maker w/ plenty of choices - dining table for 6 was counter height which made it easy for older family members to use - sofa, loveseat, chair comfortably sat all 5 of us plus the dogs. Owners had placed waterproof covers on sofas so they/we didn’t have to worry about dogs sitting with us. - 1st floor master suite had king-sized bed and full bath. Beds had large pillows, extra quilt for added warmth. We fell asleep within minutes. - 2 bedrooms and 1 bath upstairs took care of adult children and dogs. Since it was cool and rainy (normal for December in the Carolinas), we spent most of our time inside together which was what we wanted to do. We would encourage anyone wanting some special time with family to stay here!

Dog friendly

Fantastic property. Perfect for folks traveling with a dog. Close to the beach and restaurants. Hosts have a beautiful home and were very responsive when we inquired about bringing our dog.

Perfect Resting Spot

Thank you for making our time on the shore in NC easy and comfortable! Your home was exactly what we needed- and our two doodles felt right at home as well. We met many friendly locals on our walks to and at the beach close by. The dogs felt safe in the fenced backyard while we used your space to workout. BRs, bed bath comfortable and kitchen had everything we needed. Thank you!

Lovely Beach House

Loved the beach house! It was great for my young family, a pack n play, high chair and gate was available for use which makes the world of difference when traveling! The house was clean and had a nicely equipped kitchen. Communication with owner was top notch and they were always super quick to respond. The location to restaurants, ice cream and putt putt was great. You could walk most places but we rented a golf cart since we have young kids and a dog. Can’t wait to stay here again!

Fantastic Property!

Excellent property with nice amenities. 15min walk to the beach or just a short 2min drive. The beach wagon was a huge help! Comfortable beds, nice bathrooms, and a great kitchen. Everything was incredibly clean, well maintained, and even nicely decorated—perfect beach ambiance without being cheesy. Super easy check-in, kind hosts, and great communication. Overall fantastic for a weekend getaway or a whole week!

Roomy, relaxing Oak Island sisters weekend

My 2 sisters and I had a ladies weekend at this beautiful home, which looks exactly like the pictures. The house is spacious and beautifully decorated throughout, and it had everything we needed for our stay. We were so impressed with some of the small touches, too, like labeled light switches (thank you!) and the hosts' comprehensive guide to the area. My sister also loved the fenced-in yard for her dog. This property is not on the beach, but we liked the quietness of the neighborhood and found that it was easy to get to beaches, restaurants, and shopping very quickly. Communication with Dave was easy and fast. If you want a wonderful stay in Oak Island for up to 6 or 8 people, I highly recommend this home!
