Small space, but effectively used. Liked having the books and DVDs around. The beach view was just the best. I loved being able to see, hear and smell the ocean just by stepping out onto the porch

Everything we needed was there. Short trip but thoroughly enjoyed it. Was chilly but was great sitting in the sun on the deck and walking the beach for shells. Very easy access.

Loved this little home and its location! Owner was very communicative and helpful, especially with restaurant recommendations and things to do! Our only complaint is the not so comfortable beds and tiny shower. However, nonetheless, we really enjoyed our stay!

What a perfect escape! We had the greatest stay in Oak Island. The host was very responsive. The home was impeccably appointed, and the location was perfect for us! It is a nice, quiet street with perfect access to the beach. We thoroughly enjoyed waking up every morning to the beautiful sunrise with our coffee on the porch! We couldn't have asked for a better stay.

The house was perfect for the two of us. It was cozy and the owners have made great use of the limited space. Perfect beach views and access. The fireplace heater was nice to have as we were there during some cooler weather. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back!!

We absolutely loved our stay! The location was stunning—peaceful, private, and felt like having our own secluded beach. One of the highlights of our trip was witnessing baby sea turtles hatching right on the shore. It was such a beautiful and unexpected surprise that made our stay even more special.The home itself was thoughtfully designed and very well appointed, with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing visit. We enjoyed spending our evenings playing games and watching movies together. We were also lucky enough to experience a full moon during our stay—it reflected off the water in the most magical way.Overall, this place exceeded our expectations in every way. What an adorable little place right on the beach! While it is small, they did an amazing job maximizing the space, and it lacked nothing! Cannot ask for a more convenient place to walk right out onto the beach. Both the house and the beach were clean and quiet.

My husband and I celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary here and had the absolute best time. We both agree it has been our favorite vacation. The accommodations reflected everything that was mentioned in the listing, and being right on the beach with a semi private dune made it easy to go for walks on the beach in the early and late hours of the day! The only issue we ran into to no fault of the listing was the abundance of gnats! We unfortunately couldn’t enjoy our deck due to the swarms of them, but after talking with other people we weren’t alone! We hope to come back in the future!!

Loved this cute little old-fashioned beachfront cottage. The vaulted ceilings made it seem so much bigger and more open. The wood on the ceilings was also a great decorative idea. Perfect amount of space for my husband and me (two active seniors who love the beach).

This was our second time staying at the house, and the owners have made some solid updates, which made our stay mostly better than before. The new counter top and cabinets were new and clean. The addition of a dish towel (though we brought our own, just in case) made clean up easier. We were really excited about the enclosed outdoor shower, but we were a little disappointed as the water pressure wasn't great and the hot and cold water cycled, which meant inconsistent temps. In the end, we ended up just taking showers in the bathroom. Obviously, what makes this house fantastic is the beach front. It is just fantastic to sit on the deck when beach time is over. We had some weird weather during this trip - some rain, good storms, dead calm, hot and humid - finally a solid day of sun the last day. The deck was used a bit more than we expected. We will stay there again, for sure. Its just perfect for two folks - we just wish the bed was bigger. We also wish we could bring a dog, but we also understand why we cannot.
