Enjoyed the property, awesome location, very nice accommodations.

We really enjoyed our stay at the beach house. The property was updated recently and was very well accommodated. Steps away from the beach, it was very easy to get our chairs and stuff out for the day. The check-in process was very simple and this was definitely the nicest property we've stayed at in Oak Island.

I felt like we were in paradise. Love the kitchen, the porch and those views! Everything we could have asked for!! Enjoyed the walks on he beach, and visiting Southport .

A great escape, indeed!

This home was nicely furnished, with lots of amenities for cooking, relaxing and enjoying the beach. Our fur babies were also comfortable and happy in this pet-friendly home. The location directly oceanfront, with restaurants and shopping within a short drive. Southport was only a short drive, a nice day trip. The deck was perfect for viewing the stunning sunrises and sunsets. A great week for our family to unwind after the holidays!

Great Escape

The photographs do not do this property justice. It is beautifully furnished, and the kitchen is better stocked than mine. Really: who has a wok and a sandwich maker as well as dozens of skillets and pans? The beds are very comfortable, and the view of the ocean cannot be beat. If I could give this property more than 5 stars I would.

We loved it!

Place was near perfect. Love the layout of the property with the 4 big bedrooms and the large bathrooms. Place was clean and updated. We were impressed with the nice utensils and pots and pans. Most places they are usually worn out. May need to update the coffee maker soon and warn people to bring large trash bags for the kitchen.

Awesome location

Location and property was great! We happened to be there when the temps dropped to 45 and the upstairs heat stopped working, I sent a message on Easter Sunday and someone actually came out to try and fix it. Which was great customer service even though they weren't able to get it working properly we greatly appreciated the effort. We will be back when the weather is warmer ;)

The Great Escape

We enjoyed our stay at the Great Escape. We came for a quick getaway trip and the house was in a great location and met our needs. We loved we were able to access the beach easily and were close to the grocery store, restaurants and beautiful pickleball courts. Our only complaint would be to redo the back decking. We learned the hard way to wear shoes due to the old splintering wood. Besides a few splinters in our feet, we enjoyed the island property and were happy we could bring our golden retriever with us.

Nice, comfortable, needs a lot of minor repairs and new window

This was a nice, clean, comfortable place to stay for my family for a week but the house has some minor repairs and one of the big picture windows looking out to the water is fogged up and needs replacing. We told the manager the list, which was fairly long so hopefully they will be fixed by the time the season starts.

Spring Break

Absolutely stunning ocean views. Comfortably fit 6 adults, one teen and a dog. Two upstairs bedrooms and two downstairs. Each set of bedrooms shared a bathroom. The linens and towels come packaged so you will need to make your own bed. There are two grocery stores on the island. There are no beach items (like chairs) on the property so you will need to bring your own or have the option to rent them. Another thing is trash pick up is every other week in the winter so if there is alot of trash things can get very full. Luckily our week was trash week. Overall wonderful stay.

Lovely property and location right on the beach

This is our second year staying on this property. It is the perfect size for our party of 7 with an ideal layout: two bedrooms upstairs and two downstairs with a large bathrooms between the bedrooms. Downstairs living room, kitchen and dining room are open with lots of space and the kitchen is supplied well. Each of the bedrooms has large televisions and the living room has an exceptionally large wall mounted television as well. The location is right on the beach and the house is close to stores, shops, restaurants, and parks. There is a walking bridge over the inlet just a short walk from the house that has relaxing views of wildlife. The back deck with chairs and a swing is perfect for sitting out watching the waves and relaxing (chairs, rockers could use updating). There is also a lower deck with an outdoor couch which is perfect for watching sunsets and sitting around with family and friends. Also mention that the outdoor shower located on the patio underneath the house is very roomy and was used a lot. Note there a hose shower on the deck as well but the shower on the patio is fully functioning outdoor shower with hot water and lots of places to hang wet clothes. Grill needs updating as well but we didn't use it.
