Overpriced but amazing views of the ocean, great food definitely a resort to see again.
Excellent stay. Breakfast is great. Lunch and dinner are expensive on resort and hard to find in town.
The rooms are very mediocre and the staff can be really rude. I was asked multiple times by staff what my room number was when I was with my kids at the pool. The food is not good unless you go to Lei Lei's and the room service was awful. They sent me a $30 salad with mold on the fruit. I sent it back for a bowl of soup. They charged me again. $30 for a bowl of soup. I spent so much money here and felt treated like I didn't belong.
From the moment we walked into turtle bay we were greeted by the very friendly staff. The showed us everything that was included in the resort fee and it was surprising how much was included for a very small amount of money. We had an amazing panaromic view of the north shore as well with our room being very clean. The hotel staff and room service was there for all our needs and I will definitely be returning on my next trip to Hawaii!
Turtle Bay Resort is located on beautiful grounds. Loved the swim ocean cove for swimming and snorkeling. It's in a great location to see north side activities. Easy in and out.
I loved this place through and through. The rooms were spacious, clean, and updated. The ability to snorkel for free was awesome. The service was impeccable. The new Roy's restaurant was delicious (get the wave rider drink--I think that's what it's called with lavender, coconut, strawberry). And the seal on the beach was the cutest. It was also very cool to be there and see set locations for LOST, forgetting Sarah Marshall, hunger games, and the upcoming jumanji film!
We stayed in Turtle Bay to explore O'ahu's North Shore. We couldn't be happier with our decision. Every staff member we encountered was extremely friendly and most important, helpful. Concierge services were insightful and let us to a few great excursions. One of them was a sunset horse back ride. Dining on premise was excellent. We ate a Roy's which was one of my best meals this entire trip. The pool and sunset bar was also a great place to hangout. Our bar tender was amazing.
We paid for full ocean view but for partial view room.
Turtle bay looks promising as a resort on the island of Oahu. It has a lot of amenities that are available on the resort and a lot of available activities. As a couple with a toddler, it's a little more complicated to travel and accommodate for the toddler, but we generally make do with the right hotel that could accommodate our needs. To be clear, this is not the first time we've traveled with our child, so this is not an initial experience with a toddler at a hotel with this level of accommodation. We found a large cockroach on our first night of our stay at the Turtle Bay Resort and the hotel management did seriously pay attention to our needs on the first day and addressed our concerns in accordance with the issue. We were moved and subsequently no further issues with bugs. Their management team is friendly and worked to resolve the issue quickly. The staff in the hotels' front desk, restaurants, and bars are hit or miss. We have had some very friendly experiences with staff, but also some serious misses. Particularly, the housekeeping, which generally was an issue early in our trip but continued to improve throughout the trip. The restaurant staff could be friendly, but could also be inattentive. Consistently good are their valets. Overall, our experience is average compared to other stays we've had in Hawaii and are looking forward to returning to other accommodations we've had in the past or to check what the other islands offer as far as their higher-end resorts.
Hotel has many amenities and is accessible to all the nearby private coves. The beaches and area was never crowded and felt very natural. Although we did not see any turtles we had a wonderful visit. Until next time in paradise
Being on the North Shore is like being in the Hawaii you dream of and not the main city of Waikiki which is a mix of Los Angeles and Tokyo next to the water. The Hotel is first rate, the views are incredible and the staff is the BEST!! From the cottage we stayed in, to our host concierge, to the surf lessons on the left side of the hotel to the snorkeling beach on the other side, this place is where you want to be if you want to relax, have fun, and enjoy local culture and food. I will definitely be back soon!!
Friendly staff, amazing service, clearly the best resort I have ever experienced!
This was the best experience I had on any vacation! The view was amazing. The only drawbacks were the expensive restaurants at the resort (the closest restaurants were 8 mi away, besides food trucks) and they could have been more informative at check-in.
We were given a room for the handicapped. The vanities were lowered, shower head was adjustable but too low for us, adjustable seats in the tub. Overall, uncomfortable. Rooms should be based on need not what's convenient for the hotel.
Stayed 4 nights at this hotel. Excellent walking trails with stunning views.
We arrived late about 11:30pm no Lay greeting, price was quoted more then booked online had to pull email for them to honor it....loved the go pro and other things that go with the resort fee which should include valet parking. our room was not cleaned for 2 days had piles of trash build up by the door due to us changing the trash ourselves.
I live this place so much we will be back in 3 months! Very clean, friendly staff, and, delicious food! Plenty activities for the family and, romantic couples!
Overall a very enjoyable and relaxing experience. The dinning options were good but limited. Did have an unhappy experience at the Pa'akai when they did not honor our reservation request. Adjacent golf course we're conveninent, however the Fazio course was not as well maintained as the Palmer course.
Beautiful setting on North shore! Enjoyed hiking, snorkeling and golf
Nice location central to North Shore. Rooms sparse but clean. Almost all have views as the hotel just out on a point. Easy to drive to other attractions. Good base for exploring area. Not overly crowded. Restaurants on site decent. Bones of the hotel are a bit old, but they have done a nice job with the remodel. Would definitely stay again.
