An oasis in the middle of Nyaungshwe

What a treat to stay here after a two day trek from Kalaw to Inle Lake. The hotel is on the outskirts of the main part of town but it was truly a mini oasis once you entered the grounds. The staff could not have been more helpful or accommodating. This was one of the few places in Myanmar that had a set breakfast instead of a buffet but this was one of the most beautiful breakfast setups during my travels! I can't recommend this hotel enough. If you come to Nyaungshwe, do yourself a favor and book a night or two or three here!

Great hotel near Inle Lake

The best breakfast we had in Myanmar. Rooms and bathroom very neat and well decorated. Excellent service. The location is not far from the jetty.

Excellent bungalow style hotel in Nyaungshwe. Love the room and really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. Staff is very friendly and provided a map for the town as well as recommendations on sights nearby. Would definitely come back!

For the price...as good as it gets. The only downside is during rainy season restaurant only had breakfast. Too bad because the breakfast is vert good!

This small guesthouse is utterly charming and comfortable. The rooms are lovely and the bathrooms are modern, impeccably clean, and equipped with everything you might need. The manager is a lovely person, very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast is excellent, and so are the cocktails and snacks. There is a nice garden with tables and also a covered but open lounge area. All of this for a very reasonable price.

We love La Maison Birmane! A special place.

We absolutely loved La Maison Birmane! It is a really special place. The hotel is gorgeous, you feel like you're in your own little paradise, and our rooms were beautiful and cozy. However it is the staff who make this place really wonderful - they were so friendly and could not have been more attentive. They were a great support in helping us with organising our Inle lake boat trip and our trip to the caves, and also provided recommendations and guidance for other activities and places to eat. We also very much enjoyed the delicious made-to-order breakfast each morning! Staying at this hotel made our time in Nyaung Shwe really special, I only wish we could have stayed a few days more to be able to spend more time enjoying the hotel.

Lovely property, amazing staff!

Lovely property with excellent staff and service. The individual residences are beautiful. Staff recommend and book everything for you. One note for light sleepers: the property is located in town, which means it’s easy walking distance from many attractions, but which also means you can hear the town dogs and roosters, sometimes all night long.

各部屋が小屋みたいな感じで独立しており、建物もログハウス風の雰囲気のある造りで天井も高く、開放感があった。部屋は相当広く、冷房とファンがついているので、暑くても部屋全体を涼しくできる。ベッドの上に蚊よけのカーテンがついていた。洗面所で洗濯をしていて、水を出し続けてたら、突然水が出なくなり、焦ったが、１～２分待つと元通り出るようになった。その後はこまめに出し過ぎないように注意していたので、出なくなることはなかった。朝食はロビー兼中庭で席に着くと何がいいか聞かれ、出来立ての状態で持ってきてくれる。味はかなりよく、中庭の緑を眺めながら、のんびり食事ができるので、リラックスできる。空港往復車送迎は45,000K。インレー湖ボート手配は25000K。カックー往復車手配は50000K。いずれもホテルではなく、運転手に直接支払う。自転車のレンタルはホテルではできないが、ホテルのスタッフが教えてくれた徒歩1～2分ぐらいのところにあるレンタル屋で1日2000Kで質のいい自転車（ママチャリだが）を借りることができる（マウンテンバイクは別の店で借りることになり、1日9000Kぐらいと言われた）。周りにレストランがそれなりにあるので、食事には困らなかった。毎日部屋にペットボトルの水2本が供給されていたので、わざわざ売店で水を買うことはなかったが、部屋に冷蔵庫はなかった。ホテルのスタッフは皆笑顔を絶やさず、常にフレンドリーで気さくに話しかけてくれ、車やボートの予定について毎日確認してくれたので安心だった。マップももらえ、お勧めのレストランや自転車のルートの相談に乗ってもらえた。
