Horrible service and horrible customer service. This rooms litteraly had hair on the sheets from the previous users. We asked for another room and it was worse the sheets had dark stains on them. I don't suggest this place to anyone.

This little hotel provides tons of value for business travelers, as well as the common tourist like me. It has great common areas, even the muzzak was acceptable. There is a very good restaurant, I dare to say the best in the city if you're looking for more than carne Asada and tacos. The bar is good as well and there is a small but charming pool and patio area. I understand there is a gym, but I didn't check it out. And there is free wifi. The price is very affordable at $70+ bucks, and it is a bit cheaper if booked thru Expedia. There are a couple of areas of opportunity though. 1. We booked some rooms directly with front desk, and they couldn't find the reservations the day of check in, so their reservation system is not reliable. Be aware of that 2. Although this is a business class hotel, the rooms do not have irons and boards, you need to request them and in our case they had run out for the day 3. The hotel has an strange voucher system where you need to open a "tab" if you want to charge restaurant bills to the room. The problem is that the voucher would be arbitrarily closed, and new one had to be opened on a daily basis. I highly recommend this hotel, nevertheless. I may be a bit demanding as I have traveled a bit but for my hometown of Nuevo Laredo, this hotel and its amenities were a welcomed surprise

We stayed in this hotel over memorial weekend, the service was very easy and quick, rooms were clean and nice looking, they have a little pool well taken care off, it's in a very good location, there is restaurants, movie theater, mall overall we had a great stay at this hotel. The food was very good as well.

Very safe part of town lots of security from police and Mexican Army great location due to being on one of the main avenues connecting North the bridge number one south highway to Monterrey very big and clean rooms breakfast was superb for the price, front desk helpful and attentive

We chose the Colón Plaza in which to stay overnight on our recent trip to Laredo, TX for shopping based on the price of the hotel and that the hotel we normally stay at was much more expensive this time. It was easy to find and the area looked safe and quiet. The rate was very reasonable for a double room at a Business Class Hotel. The room was spacious and clean, but carpet under the bed that was not vaccum in weeks. Good selection of TV channels and very close from most Bus Stations. I recommend it for families, lone travelers and business people.

We chose the Colón Plaza in which to stay two nights on our recent trip to Nuevo Laredo, based on TripAdvisor reviews and personal recommendations. It was easy to find and the rate was a reasonable $715 pesos for a double room. The room was a little small, but very well outfitted and ample for our needs. The ambience is serious "Business Class", and while it didn't warm my heart, it was fine. The service environment seemed "correct" and a bit "stuffy". The main things were that the elevator, AC, and bath worked. There is an attractive swimming pool, but we never had time to use it. On Sunday evening, the desk clerk told me that the hotel restaurant "Triskel" was not open and was not open for breakfast on Monday. This was not a big issue for us, as we took all our meals at the Restaurante "Los Ajos", an inexpensive, pleasant and informal restaurant 800 meters east, at Calle Álvaro Obregón and Paseo Colón. I will review that separately if I have time. The bathroom was a bit small, but worked fine and like the rest of the room, spotlessly clean. The shower was o.k. but not positionable as it was fixed directly above in the shower stall. The hot water arrived fairly quickly but with only moderate pressure. The bath amenities were above average. The Wifi worked very well, and there was a large and comfortable desk, plenty electrical outlets, drawers, shelves and adequate but not generous closet space. The only notable glitch was that the electronic key cards would not work at times. The receptionist got one to work, but a second never did. One is needed to place in a slot inside the room to keep the electricity going. Another is useful if one guest wants to go out while the other stays in. On our return one evening, neither card worked and I had to go to Reception to have them reactivated. There were the standard two bottles of purified water in the room each day, but on Sunday, when I requested more, the desk clerk told me that there weren't any. What he failed to reveal is that there is an alcove on our floor, close to our room, with a big jug of purified water. It's there for the guests to use to refill their water bottles. I would have given the hotel 5 stars but for these small, yet annoying shortcomings.

This is a very reasonable priced hotel with plenty of parking. The staff is friendly and rooms are clean. The rooms are on the small side but for the price it works just fine. I will return here on my next visit.

Price is really cheap!!! I love this hotel, Showers are awesome.. I've stayed here about 4 dif. times and always was pleased with my stay. I feel safe and never have to worry about my car, security is always on stand by.
