Booked this hotel to go to the glee comedy club. Very central location, Amazing room with nice toiletries and bathrobes and slippers. Bed was huge and so comfortable. Nice option to open the windows aswell for fresh air as I HATE hotels where you can't. Nice stocked fridge. Check in a bit slow but other than that i will definitely be booking again. Thank you for a beautiful stay in nottingham
We booked this late for a gig and we were very impressed. Ideally located in the city centre close to bars and restaurants. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and attentive. The place is very smart and looks very modern. Our room wasn’t ready so we were upgraded, free to a very nice large room with great amenities. Breakfast in the Chino Latino bar and this too very nice. Limited parking but NCP across the road offers discounted rate for overnight stay if you get your ticket verified at the hotel. Very nice place.
my room was not ready for check in until 20.00 although it should be ready by 14.00, I have waited in the reception for hours as I was constantly told it would take another 20mins only, finally I went out for dinner and checked in just before i went to bed
Treated my dad for a nights stay as going into hospital Monday. So glad I chose this hotel. Lovely clean room - huge bed - all the little essentials included - tea/coffee making facilities etc and hats off to the chef as the breakfast was fantastic! The staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. Hotel close to all city amenities. Highly recommend.
This hotel is very central for Nottingham town centre. The room was spacious and clean, as was the bathroom. Lovely huge, comfortable bed. Good shower and toiletries. Breakfast was also good. Staff were very helpful, car park was useful.
Came to visit family on this visit to Nottingham, My sister had stayed here and said I would luv this place, I did and I will be back, nice friendly modern hotel, very inexpensive especially compared to other hotels that I have stayed. Great service, thanks for great stay.
Stayed here on a room only basis for 2 nights in October. Didn't really make use of hotel facilities or food but the room was clean and very comfortable with excellent air conditioning. Would use thus hotel if I visit Nottingham again. Great location and short walk to many restaurants and bars.
I stay away on business most weeks and don't normally "rate" UK hotels but was particularly driven to on this occasion. After a long day of business appointments I arrived tired and hungry at the Park Plaza, Nottingham. Reception contemporary. Ok check in. Off to room 123. As soon as I stepped out of the lift a "chilly" atmosphere. Literally! Uncomfortably cold. So into the room......and it is even colder. Simple u say, turn heating on and thermostat up. Oh no. Turn on heating and turn thermostat up on a very modern, recently installed system. Even colder air gets pumped out. The room was too cold to remove my coat. Try to ring for help. No dial tone. The phone was unplugged. Plug it it, call reception, no answer. Call again, no answer. Off back down to reception. Manager comes up to the room and tells me to only set temperature to 22c and wait 10-20 mins. Not really good enough? Went for a drink and some food in the Quasi Asian bar. Waited 10 mins for single barman to serve single customer (dirty glasses littered the bar). Gave up and went out. Got back thinking room would be warm......it had improved, but only slightly. Thought I would have a hot bath. Yes the water was hot but dribbled out along with the shower not matter how many adjustments. 25 mins later bath full enough to get it. Sat looking at the cracked tiles. Got out and cleaned my teeth and the sink back flooded under a modest tap flow with that horrible smell of mouldy drains. One bright light was room service breakfast. Good standard and delivered by a bright, friendly waitress. On check out the usual platitudes from reception. "How was your stay?" Tale repeated a muted apology but nothing meaningful. Did'nt even knock the tray charge for breakfast off. Just a rubbish experience for £90. Back to Hilton.......or any other chain!!
Whilst reasonable value compared to some venues, it excluded breakfast and it was not clear on booking that the free on site parking had to be pre-booked. Alternative parking in a nearby public car park was subsidised, but still cost us another £14 for 24hours. The hotel foyer resembles a waiting room and is not particularly inviting.
Hi Please find my reservation detail in below email attached. I booked my 1 night stay with my family to celebrate my wedding anniversary i booked 2 rooms (1 room for me and mrs, 2 nd room for kids) My experience is your hotel for 1 night stay was shocking and unexpected. The condition of the room was absolutely filthy, low standard, spider webs , spiders , dirty walls. We were regretting why did we decide to stay in this hotel. My 7 year old daughter couldnt sleep in her room because of the spider in the room ( just on top of her bed ) there was broken spot light and spider web was hanging there and she was terrified and couldnt sleep and ended up slept with us in 2nd room. We came from Northampton to celebrate special occasion but it ended up with bad experience and sleepless night , my wife upset from me because she was expecting nice stay in the-hotel. In the morning when we went for breakfast , i came back early from restaurant bcoz i couldn't sleep properly and went to my bed for a nap , after 30 mins my wife came back with kids and she found one of the staff member came out from kid’s room (i was sleeping in 2nd room) that staff member was in rush so my wife couldnt ask what sge was doing there. She addressed this issue at the reception. This is a breach of privacy , how come somebody entered in our room without permission. Really bad experience , i will put these reviews on social media. I have wasted my time time , money and the trust of my family because my family thinks i am not good to organise special occasion for them. It would be better to stayed at home or book travel lodge . Big hotel like park plaza spoiled my wedding anniversary. Very disappointed today
