We stayed after dropping my son off at university for the first time and thought we'd treat ourselves. What a disappointment! The room (311) was noisy, and a little dated and tired. I have had nicer rooms and a better bed in the Premier Inn. The check in/car parking was a nightmare as the intercomm between the car park and reception was not working. The receptionist was really unhelpful saying she couldn't let us in to the car park unless we rang the intercomm. This I had done but it wasn't working! whilst a helpful man ran down to the car park to help my partner get in, she then wouldn;t check us in before I had my bag from the car with my credit card. I had already had a very emotional day saying goodbye to my son and was more upset following this experience. The room and car parking were expensive for what they are. We will stay elsewhere next time with better service. The high light was dinner at Oaks around the corner. In this age where competition is everything I think the phrase is "could do much better"
Great location, rooms are clean quick check in , bathroom is clean Rooms are comfortable but when I need to ask for some thing No body answering me the operator , reception, house keeping I will come again to Park Plaza
It is not easy to find a good hotel in Nottingham. The hotel has no illuminated signpost and by car at night its difficult to find. Their car park was fully occupied, so we had to park in a public parking, which at least was not far away for 1 GBP/h. To start with the most positive aspect, the Park Plaza is ideally located in the city center and the best Indian restaurants of the city are a few meters walk away. Our superior room was relatively small and the bathroom was chilly due to the large window (with poor insolation). The shower was leaking at the handle. The breakfast offered a good choice of food. We ordered twice an omelette and learned that the quality of making it, depends on the cook.
Average hotel in all ways, charging a lot for an overnight stay. Its write-up offers a lot but reality just doesn't deliver. Offers car parking but car park full and I wasn't informed so was directed to an NCP car park. How about offering a valet service for this as out of towners may find locating car park difficult? Non-friendly Reception staff, bedroom and bathroom in need of decoration, comfy bed though but more than happy to depart following morning. Value for money? Definitely not!
Good hotel, well located with lovely staff. We managed to have an early check-in with no problem. The room was large and comfortable (executive room) with a great TV (sky is included in the package) and a fast, reliable internet connection. It is not a brand new hotel but it is well maintained and clean. Breakfast was included in our rate and it was adequate with a choice of hot and cold dishes. We enjoyed our stay and would happily come back to the Park Plaza when we return to Nottingham
Fantastic location. Speedy check in check out. Fantastic very clean and modern bedroom and bathroom. Good sized comfy bed. Sky tv. Would definately re visit. 10 minute walk from the train station. Breakast about £14.00 if not included in your room rate. 24 hour room service. Didn't use it so can't comment. Safe in room. Great night out in nortingham centre.
Very nice hotel in a good central location surrounded by a fabulous range of restaurants within genuine walking distance. Excellent rooms, clean and comfortable. Good breakfast service. Limited parking onsite but large multi storey nearby. Very friendly staff. Beware of requesting E-upgrades online as they may be added to your bill whether you have them or not.
We stayed in this hotel for a family get together. It is conveniently situated to good restaurants. Our room and bathroom was clean & spacious. Despite overlooking a main road there was no noise & we had a good nights sleep. Having tea making facilities in the room was great.
Room was lovely, clean. Very spacious. Very close to town centre. Just a short walk down an alley lined with pubs to the centre for all the nightlife. Opposite was a Tesco Express which was handy for us to stock up on goodies for when we got in! The car park at St. James Street which offers a discounted rate for the overnight stay has very small parking spaces. Very awkward to negotiate and god help anyone with a large 4x4!
Was very pleased with this hotels location and quality of service and rooms. I have family recently moved to Nottingham so will be staying here again when visiting. Car parking is very secure which is an added bonus too!
