Ruthless Host

At 1pm, 1 hour before we were due to check in I had not received keycode instructions etc. We were on a tight schedule as we were attending my daughters graduation ceremony at University of Nottingham and needed to quickly change and head to the University. I called Vrbo for assistance and after being on the phone for about 30 minutes the managed to get in touch with Miraj the host who told them that he had double booked. He neither informed Vrbo or myself of this. We then had to find accommodation at very short notice which resulted in us being late for the graduation. This man clearly has no regard for guests and cannot be relied upon, book at your own risk.

Family trip to England

We had three adult family members staying at this property for our first nights in Nottingham after flying in from the States. Our first issue was the lack of check in details. The generic ones were available in the listing but 24 hours before and even 1 hour before we arrived I did not have the exact address or the code to the lockbox. I had to make a call through WhatsApp from a train station a couple times and then reached the property manager. Messaging through VRBO never got a response during our stay. Once we started messaging directly with the manager our stay was much better. The washing machine was out of order while we were there but since it was the start of our trip and only for two nights it wasn’t an issue. As an accessibility note, the shower is quite small so larger or taller people should keep that in mind.

Home away from home

1st if UR not driving, getting the tram from Nottingham station (less than 30mins away) option to get to the apartment. From Nottingham tram stop to Hyson Green Market tram stop, it's approximately 5mins walk or Noel Street tram stop, less than 10mins walk. Don't get off at Forest tram stop, as you have to walk down a back alley. The area where the apartment is isn't very nice, but there are lots of Polish shops & places to eat or get a cheeky takeaway. The apartment we stayed in has 1 flight of stairs, no lift, but we were fine. The key was in a lockbox. Easy to get in. The apartment is absolutely lovely, just like the pictures but better. It's quite, comfortable, just what we needed. Loved the shower. The bed was really comfortable, with an assortment of pillows & extra covers in the storage cupboard in the passage. My husband was impressed with the rechargeable touch night light lamp. The passage way needs a heater, but we managed as the rest of the place was cosy, with the adjustable heaters on the walls. Kitchen had everything we needed & it was easy to get in touch with the host if we needed anything. Big TV, but we didn't use it. Good wifi connection. We were there for a conference at Vineyard Trent & it was so easy to get to on the tram. Wish I could have stayed longer just in the apartment, it was so homey. Loads of transport links/options less than 5mins away. There is an Asda supermarket less than 10mins away between the Hyson market and Noel Street tram stops.
