There was nothing really note-worthy or exceptional -- which could have been good or bad. The girl at the front desk did not explain anything other than telling us the wrong time for breakfast (630-10) but thankfully our room was right next to the breakfast area, so we were able to catch breakfast. And the front desk informed us that wifi and internet was down and she would call me when it was available. She never did call and it started working the morning we checked out. Breakfast was average. TV stations average. Bed was comfortable but average. Cop sat outside the hotel for a few hours at night...not sure if I was to feel safe or worried. Not the most personable employees but they did look up from their conversation in the lobby to say hi when we walked in late at night. And no one was at the desk when we checked out and there was a line.

From the time i pull in the parking lot to the lobby and to my room it was very clean n inviting. The employees were very helpful and polite. Breakfast was included and was very good. It made a nice comfortable stay

We showed up around 1:00 am in the morning to find our room not ready. Not really expected it to be as I forgot to ask for early check in. Jessica at the front desk was a gem! Although I could not get a room at that time without having to pay for an additional night I opted to hang out in my sister's room. Jessica said to check back around 4:00 am and see if a room would be available at that time. I went down around 4:30 am and an upgraded room was available! I gladly accepted and went to my sister's room to retrieve my daughter and grandson and we made our way to the room next door. Room was clean and perfect for the three of us. We went to our function that afternoon and came back to find that our room had not been cleaned. Fortunately, an inspector, I believe her name was Jeannette, just happened to be looking at the room across the hall. I asked her if there was a reason our room had not been cleaned and she said that room was not on the list. Not sure why but it didn't matter because Jeannette apologized, sprang into action and made up our bed and brought us clean towels. I am a travel agent and realize that mistakes can happen but how one handles those mistakes are key! This was my first time staying at Fairfield and I'm glad to say that not only will I be back but I feel confident in knowing I can book my clients there as well. Thank you, Fairfield!

The room itself was clean and comfortable. However, the bathroom was another story. Had we looked in there before getting everything else settled we would have asked for our money back and left. There was mold on both shower curtains and the water pipes kept clicking very loudly off and on through the night. Thankfully our kiddo slept through it anyways. The light switch for the bathroom is on the outside so when anyone used it at night the whole room woke up due to the light being on/door open situation. This was our first stay at a Fairfield and probably the last.

Fairfield Inns & Suites are my "go to" favorite for decent priced, clean, well managed lodging. Unfortunately this property just didn't measure up to usual Marriott standards. We stayed for just one night before an early morning flight out of ORD. We also had reservations for a return trip a week later. (cancelled due to hotel condition) Facility is showing its age. Carpets worn, paint peeling, door on elevator (the only one) shook so much I thought it would fall off the track. Pool was murky and uninviting. Checked into our King room (217) which had that musty smell that rooms that have been smoked in get. But this was a completely "smoke free" facility. It was late so we decided to just make the best of it. Should have left. As we got ready for bed we noticed that the room had a mold problem. Worn out furniture and carpeting are one thing, but mold is just a sign of poor maintenance and management. Bathroom corners and caulked areas had mold growing along with shower curtain. Under soap dish was just gross looking. Imagine my disgust when I opened the drapes in the morning to find mold growing on the sheer curtains between the window and drapes. All these issues could have been remedied with proper cleaning or replacement of shower curtain and sheer drapes. Upon leaving I spoke to the manager about these issues and she did comp our room. Disappointed though.

Great clean hotel. Stayed one night on a point stay and was very impressed. Quaint hotel off the highway, easy location to get to, three Marriott properties next to each other and freindly staff thru the hotel. Hotel was filled to capacity, and crowded at breakfast, but very nice stay. Clean room, comfortable beds, windows that open, micro & fridge, all the amenities. Indoor pool and weight room. Free breakfast, but get there early on crowded weekends. Only bad point was only one elevator.

We have had the privilege of staying at the Fairfield Inn in Hammond several times a year. We have at least 20 rooms booked for our group. The hotel is always clean, the service is great, and the staff is always pleasant and helpful. We always look forward to our 2 a year event in the Hammond area, and the hotel stay at Fairfield Inn make everything better. Thank you to the management. You are awesome !!!

After a somewhat stressful experience the night before at the courtyard next door, we stayed here for the next three nights of our not so fun and unexpected vacation to the Chicago area . Upon arrival, heather. ( I think that's her name) had popcorn popping. That made my boys happy. They offer chocolate chip cookies during the week in the evenings as well. Breakfast is free. Now while this is a decent Marriot property ( I've stayed at many thanks to my best friend working for this company)....let me mention your staff and how absolutely wonderful they are and how accomadating and understanding they seemed during our time of grief. They were amazing. They all deserve a raise. From the short staffed housekeepers who went beyond when cleaning our scary room (two boys) to the front desk staff....seriously, heather needs a huge THANK YOU from us. I hope that is her name but she was there 5/22 and a few days before was so helpful and so friendly with everyone! She just has one of those perfect always happy even when you're blue attitudes. She listened to me vent when I'm sure she had a bazillion other things to do, they made sure we had towels and a playpen in our room, and everyone did everything they could to make our stay as good as it could be. There was an older lady there who refilled the breakfast bar who was always wonderful as well. To the owners of this property: Give these lovely women a spa package or something. They rocked it.

Stayed here for about three days in March. Close to freeways, I stayed here as an in between when bf and I were working/visiting Chicago (45 mins away max) and also had to go to Kalamazoo, MI (1 hr 30 mins ). It was clean, quiet, good service. I really liked the bathroom set up. Super comfy bed. The breakfast was actually quite plentiful, many options. Not some dried up bagels and pastries. Freshly cooked eggs, bacon, and sausage, plus much more.
