Loved the setting of this place.views of countryside and sea were amazing. Pool area and garden also lovely. We were upgraded to a large suite overlooking countryside and sea and we were very pleased with our room.Staff were very pleasant and booking in etc easy. We ate next door and can recommend restaurant we had starters and mains fish and pizza bothvery good. The only weakness here was the breakfast not terribly inspiring after our previous 2 stops.

We spent 4 nights at Villa Ashfodeli. On arrival we received an unexpected upgrade to a room on the first floor which was very nice and very welcome, as it turns out that the ground floor rooms can be noisy. The garden of the hotel is nice and relaxing with stunning views to the sea. Staff are very helpful and can recommend restaurants. Would have given it 5 stars, but the bathroom facilities needed some TLC.

Lovely hotel I would highly recommend staying here. The breakfast is on the small terrace outside, with fresh coffee and squeeze your own orange juice. The rest of the hotel gives views across the mountains to Bosa and the sea. It's within easy reach of Bosa which is well worth a visit. The hotel is easy going and laid back. You have to ask for what you want as nothing is imposed upon you but the staff will do anything for you. There is a pizza place next door and a supermarket on the square for snacks to eat around the pool. A stroll around the village will bring you to a number of small bars which are real Italian and so friendly. This hotel was lovely and an added bonus was the availability of parking right outside and the quality of the whole place is worth 5 stars. Enjoy

We could not believe the wonderful reception afforded to us at this small boutique hotel. It is off the beaten track with village church opposite, wonderful views from the rear of the property and a host and hostess who welcome quests as friends. The owner had made cake for our breakfast and picked walnuts off her tree in the back yard. What a treat to stay here. Parking out the front, pizza next door and a quaint little village, If you want music and cocktails for dinner then this is not the place for you. If you want character, charm and friendliness then this is definitely the place to be. We stayed in the middle of winter so only 2 rooms were booked but the breakfast was as if the hotel was full. Don't pass this one up. Plenty to see. Good for walks and lots of small villages to check out. We had the best time. I have never stayed in a place as friendly as this one. The room was large, clean and fitted out with all that was necessary. We had a sitting area as well as the bedroom area. The receptionist could not do enough for us with finding maps and giving information. If I had a hotel, I would employ this charming lady. Will stay again in a heartbeat. Please think about Sardinia if you travel. They need tourist dollars and no one, and I mean no-one was rude to us. We spent 16 days there and drove over the whole island. As I said, I would be back in a heartbeat. Very impressive, beautiful and full of history.

I read about this place in Cyclist magazine and found it on our way through the village. They were initially very helpful and took me down to the bike workshop where they had a number of bikes. I was after a road bike and the one's they had were German entry level bikes of a reasonable make. They were in very poor condition however - punctures not repaired, bottle cages missing, handle-bars at a skewed angle. I carried out a bit of repair work myself and left with a bike - having tested it up and down a COBBLED road (note to self!). When I first took it out the next day it became apparent there was a misalignment in the wheel and that it needed 'truing'. To cut a long story short - the problem got worse and a spoke snapped. Although the receptionist was a reasonable guy, the couple managing the hotel refused point blank to take any responsibility for the damage or acknowledge the condition of the other bikes as being unacceptable. They refused any form of compromise or to even look at the damage and I lost money. I'd avoid hiring these bikes at all costs - they are neglected and the staff will rip you off for the damage that others do. I'd also make sure you don't end up having to ask for your money back or complain - that is not an option!

the hotel is a beautiful old restored house where you can spend more than one night. the staff is excellent and always trying to satisfy your needs, rooms are great with wonderful views over the vineyards and the seaside. they have a great garden with a pool where you can relax and they also have bikes to rent!

Villa Asfodeli is a real treat: uncomplicated, earnest and high quality. If you like your hotels to be big, sophisticated places, then this isn't for you; but if instead you seek something soulful, something that allows you to take life at a much easier and quieter pace, then this is the place to be. The hotel is a converted house within the small town; rooms are really comfortable, very clean and well looked after. (By the time you return from breakfast, the staff will have been in to sort the room out for the rest of the day. ) The staff are great - good humoured, helpful and know not to fuss. If you want some information, they are very willing to help, but they also know when you are quite happy to find a few things out for yourself. Breakfast is plentiful and nothing too much trouble. The pool is small, but great for a cooling dip , and the garden area is well-maintained. The beach is 5km away - about an hour's walk if you fancy it along quiet roads - and hardly crowded. There are great beaches all along this stretch of coastline and worth exploring. Bosa is the largest nearest town and is a beautiful place to wander around and discover its history.

We had a great time at the villa Asfodeli. The hotel is located in a small village overlooking the bay of Bosa. The place is an old doctors house that was renovated. The rooms are very nice and the owners have kept the soul alive of this old Masters House. There is a beautifull garden with a small swimming pool. I would like to stress the and outstanding service of the personnel. Although there was a small misunderstanding with the agency that booked the room, they remained professional at all times. All in all a very nice place and I would certainly recommend it. If you like peace, quiet and a nice garden... Go for it.

Probably the best hotel I've stayed in. A charming Sardinian VIilla in a tiny village. The Staff is very helpful and kind. Maria Cristina ,the owner, is an excellent person who helps you in any thing you need. Cosmio , the recepcionist is very helpful.

Well located, classic, spacious and clean. Fantastic view from the garden and pool. Great breakfast served outside with homemade jams and cakes. The owner was beyond helpful, giving us all sorts of advice, from eating locally to the most scenic walks and rides in the area. The rest of the staff were incredibly kind and helpful too! We loved it so much we extended our stay, and can't wait to come back again.
