The hotel is supposed to be four stars, but it looks like a three stars hotel from the 30's. The room was old and dirty, bathroom was also dirty. Please avoid rooms on the ground floor, it seems to be the non renewed part of the hotel. The breakfast was ok, although expensive for what they offered.
We stayed at the Wyndham for two nights while visiting documenta 14 in Kassel. While we got the room for a very good price, there is little else I can say that's positive. This is not a four star hotel and probably never was. At most three stars, because it does have a restaurant and a bar (though with inconsistent hours) and the rooms are clean and very spacious -- however, the restaurant serves bland and drab-looking food (even by basic hotel chain standards) and our waitress was unprofessional, inattentive, and rude. Every piece of furniture in the room was scratched and worn, the stained and faded green hallway carpets looked straight out of the 1970s, and both front desk staff we interacted with were less-than-helpful and painfully slow. Also, the hotel is really far from the city center. Junky enough that it affected my opinion of the entire Wyndham brand.
Location: excellent to reach the working site; Accomodation: very good; Breakfast: fresh and very good quality of meals; Internet: does not work properly: too slow. BRs lg
As a family we stayed in Wyndham Garden at least 6 times. Rooms are spacious, always clean and food from the hotel restaurant is superb. We picked this hotel on one of our first European trips and we keep coming back ever year at least ones or twice per year. Highly recommended!
The hotel is good for travelers with cars and just for stay overnight on the way to somewhere else. Location is pretty in the middle of nowhere and access to public transport is far away. In general the rooms and the breakfast are ok. Only for vegans I would suggest to book hotel without a breakfast, because there will be almost nothing to eat for price of Eur 12,50. We also experienced some confusing situations with swimming pool and sauna that is located in hotel - there are no working hours of the pool and sauna specified (not on the pool door, not at the reception, also not in the rooms). So I was kicked out half naked bcs the administration man came around 10 pm and said that the pool is already closed and I have to leave immediately. Another confusing thing was with information on the room-door, asking to cooperate in saving the environment and if we will choose NOT to have room cleaning during our stay, we get Eur 5 voucher for the bar. We in general tried to keep away the cleaners that were almost braking in in our room to change towels and clean everything, but the voucher we didnt get as it appeared - we had to tell our choice to the reception by check-in. But when booking the hotel or at the check-in there is no information about such opportunity. And once you get your room-card, its already too late.
The room was clean and spacious. Hotel pool was heated and good size. Good location close to large roads and enough parking spaces.
We needed a hotel for one night while driving from Italy to Denmark and found this perfect hotel. Very close to the Autobahn and with an excellent restaurant, bar and breakfast.
This feels like an IKEA without air conditioning. Pros 1. Clean 2. Balcony door can be opened to let in air 3. Okay breakfast 4. Walking distance to chain restaurants Cons 1. No air conditioning 2. Staff was rude
Family room was damp, when i asked for a Change of rooms on the phone, the Lady wanted to send someone to check my statement, but refused to send someone up with the keys for the new room. those I had to get by myself. new room was just a twin bed. they didn´t bother to put in the extra bed. Towels just for two people. water could become so hot, you could boil Pasta in. Charge for bathrobes. No AC and very hot at night. Loud street and very poorly soundproofed rooms. The Swimming pool area looks like a Hotel from the seventies in eastern Germany. Breakfast was made convenience products and open jams.Parking lot with extra Charge, although lots of parking space in the area.
Stayed one night. Water and small bottle of red wine was nice. Otherwise, tired room. Had a choice of being awoken by noise due to having to open the window or keeping it closed and being gently cooked - neither was satisfactory. Fittings incomplete in bedroom and bathroom. They have the cheek to charge €5 for parking . Unremarkable at best.
