My room has a problem with the vent above the stove making terrible loud noise all evening long keeping me awake all night. I have cancer and the whole reason we stayed over was so I could be rested for a nice day at the waterpArk the next day. Instead, being without any sleep I feel terrible and asked for a discount on a following night so I could rest before driving two hours home. The offered me 10 bucks. That's all they would do for me. Not caring at all

Great waterpark but not enough restaurants. A good quick breakfast place would be great.

Shuttle is a nightmare :( Lots of confusion with check in & room

Stateside hotel and baselodge is a beautiful hotel. It is close to a general store with basic food and coffee. You can hike on some of the ski trails in the fall. We loved our room. Friendly staff.

Beautiful Views, Nice facilities, not enough open for summertime.

We ended up loving the 1 bed cottage which located on Golf Side of the resort complex. It has a view of woodland so very quiet. 2 floors with living room that has fireplace and bedroom downstairs - both has access to outdoor space. Plenty of storage with mudroom and washer/dryer in unit. Shuttle is a dial away but can take up to 15 mins to arrive. Downside, it's away from the main ski and waterpark, so we have to pack ski gear and swimming stuff. And have to pay for lockers even though we stay in the same resort complex (I asked and apparently only free if you stay at Hotel Jay). Biggest disappointment was that we thought we would be staying at Hotel Jay. You really have to look closely and even then it was not clear where we would be staying. I ended up having to call Orbitz and they in turn have to check with the hotel. So on the day BEFORE we are due to arrive, we found out that we were not staying in the location we thought we would. One of our friends had to cancel their booking as they have a very young child and bundling the little one every day to get on shuttle on the family's first ski vacation was just too much for them. Be warned.

Nice accomodations but dirt roads everywhere to track into your car.

Stateside staff is anything but pleasant. From check-in to check-out, they treated us like we didn't matter! Exceptionally rude to me and my wife! Our room was nice but the staff not so much. Took 45 minutes just to check-in to the room. Over 10 people checking in and only one person at the desk. The other two people just stood there talking about what they wanted to be doing over the long weekend. Not impressed with the hotel staff one bit! Sadly the the restaurant staff at Howies was about the same if not worse. Took 20 plus minutes once seated to get waters or any type of service. Once we did get service it was unfriendly and rude. The food, cold and not great. One of the only good things about my stay was Shilo over at the Foundry Restaurant, he was a great server with a good personality. As for ever staying at StateSide again, not likely. I had such high hopes for my weekend getaway with my wife and friends. Such an utter letdown!
