Winter retreat

Beautiful spot in Rum Point. Condo had everything we needed for a very confortable stay. 3rd floor, so there are steps to climb, but the view is gorgeous. Would definitely go back

Chill location

Perfect location away from the bustling 7 mile beach. Adjacent to Rum Point beach with a peaceful beach and great food and drinks. The condo was clean, comfortable and well appointed. Mary supplied us with great tips on attractions, food shopping and restaurants. Would absolutely return and recommend highly!

Relaxing beach vacation

Very comfortable condo perfect for the two of us with a private beach on quiet side of the island. Great restaurant next door at Rum Point club. We loved the bioluminescence tour and snorkeling and stingray city. This area is calm and friendly. The property has a water view and is very pleasant, although it is set back and not directly on the beach.Mary was an excellent host and made the process easy! We would not hesitate to return for another stay on Grand Cayman. Thank you, Mary!

Christmas at Rum Point

Stayed here over Christmas with my husband. Great location- Rum Point, Kaibo, Starfish Point. Best to rent a car to get around, buy groceries. Stairs up to 3rd floor. Need to be mobile. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect!

Vacay Kai was the perfect spot for us. After spending some time on the busier side of the island (7-mile beach), we wanted to enjoy the quieter side. The condo has a beautiful view of the sea & is right next to Rum Point (beach, bar, restaurant, boat excursions, etc). The condo was beautiful & clean & had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Mary was a great hostess & very responsive to any questions we had. We can’t wait to come back again!!

Amazing Vacation Rental

Great place to spend your downtime on the island... I loved looking out at the beach from the screened in balcony. Has more than just the essential amenities (washer+dryer, beach supplies,kitchen utensils, etc.). Walking distance to Rum Point Beach with food and full bar. Would definitely stay again!

vacay kai at rum point

If you don't want the large crowds found on Seven Mile Beach this is the place. The unit was clean, had everything we needed except a pair of scissors (haha) but we managed. This is quiet location. You can rent jet skis next door from Red Sail. Beautiful sunsets from the pier. The snorkeling is ok under the pier. There is a turtle out by the pier and a stingray would swim by on occasion. The pool is nice. Whoever is in charge of the beach chairs need to put out a few more; 8 chairs was not enough for the number of people staying at the complex. You will need to rent a car. A negative for me was the 4:00 check-in; it would be nice if it was at least 3:30. It was about 3:30 when we got there; we walked around the complex and talked to one of the other occupants until 4:00.

The unit was roomy and quite comfortable. It was incredibly stocked with kitchen and cooking items, plenty of beach items and towels too. It was very clean and well kept. Our stay was cut short because of hurricane Beryl, our first two days we didn’t use the pool because they had to shock it the day we arrived, it was very cloudy so we didn’t feel comfortable getting In. I think they had rain before we arrived, so that was my guess for the pool condition. Mary was the most wonderful person to deal with and she was so great about keeping us informed about the approaching hurricane and what the local government was likely to do with water and power as well as airport information. She definitely gets a five star rating!!! If you want pristine beaches, you’ll have to drive to Seven Mile beach, the swim areas near the condo have some rocky entrance areas and a fair amount of vegetation growing near shore. I was still able to snorkel and swam with a pretty good sized turtle and saw lots of fish around the pier.

My wife & I booked Mary’s place for our 30th wedding anniversary & had a great time! Her place is fully as described & has everything you need! Other than the weather(which no one can control) it was a peaceful & relaxing week! A+++++++ all the way around!

Thank you Mary! Your recommendations and quick response was so appreciated. Your island home is very special! Location! & North side is the place to be. Loved having Rum Point Beach and Red Sail sports. We could walk to snorkel, eat, catch a boat, swim & enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the Retreat. Quiet!!!! Relaxing and we felt like we had our own pool. We LOVED Tukka, Kaibo, Over the Edge and Solis for meals. Our highlight was the Bioluminescent Boat tour by Cayman Kayaks. DON’T miss a stingray trip it’s a once in a lifetime experience. The condo has everything we needed. Can’t wait to come back to Cayman Kai 🏝️🏝️🏝️ Will & Lisa Parker Colorado.
