The Gardens of the Kai is a small group of privately owned stand alone houses situated in the quiet, pristine area of Cayman Kai - a very private, exclusive part of beautiful Grand Cayman. The houses are set directly on the white sand beach, with gorgeous sunset views, and a fresh water pool, all in tropical landscaped gardens.
A very short walk from Gardens of the Kai you will find Kaibo - a rustic Caribbean Beach Bar/Restaurant surrounded by coconut palms. Here you will experience part of the real Cayman. With its downstairs thatched bar and upstairs white tablecloth formal dining, Kaibo defines both barefoot escapism and romantic dining. Caribbean cocktails or cold local beer together with local fish, salads, wraps and entrées hot off the grill while overlooking the sea makes your dining experience unforgettable.
For further sea adventures and dining options, a short drive or easy 5 minute bike ride away along the sandy road is Rum Point, with its Red Sail watersport outlet, upscale restaurant and famous wreck bar. For active travelers we offer two kayaks and two bikes. Just a short walk along the beach is “Robinson Crusoe” Starfish Point.
Gardens of the Kai beach is reef protected, and tranquil with gently lapping waves. No need to reserve a beach chair here. Just pick out your favorite palm and relax while listening to bird song and enjoying a gentle breeze.
Gardens of The Kai #5 offers single family privacy where you can fully enjoy your paradise vacation. The house has a living and dining area open to a screened terrace designed for outdoor living, casual dining and walk out to the beach. There is a fully equipped kitchen including a wine cooler, Keurig coffee machine, and comfortable tropical furnishings. In addition to the living/dining area and kitchen, the ground floor has a bedroom with a queen bed and a single bed and a bathroom. The entire upstairs is a spacious master suite with king bed, large closets & private balcony overlooking the turquoise Caribbean sea. Washer/dryer, BBQ, cable TV, CD/DVD, blue ray DVD, kayak, bikes, books, games, WiFi internet, and HP printer are all provided. Non smoking unit.
The villa is air-conditioned and features a kitchen, 2 bathrooms, and a balcony. There's space to spread out with 2 bedrooms and a dining area. Beautiful home!!! Exactly as described, exactly as the pictures showed except that in the pictures I couldn’t tell it was a screened in porch which was a welcome surprise. Hot and humid days but the A/C worked great. The beds were comfortable. There was a 2 person kayak and a single kayak that we made use of and really enjoyed. I reached out to the host only once and they were very helpful. The kitchen was nice and had everything we needed, just make note that the kuerig coffee pot provided is one of the tiny hotel ones and the drip coffee pot is only a 4 cup. There was coffee and filters there though. The beach view from the house was amazing! The beach itself was beautiful and extremely quiet. Plenty beach chairs. The water was the calmest I’ve ever seen a beach. Zero waves. The sunsets were spectacular. We used the pool just one day and it was nice. My only complaint… one minute after the sun goes down you can no longer enjoy being outside the mosquitos were so bad, and I had sprayed! Learned that the first night then drove all over the next day looking for better bug spray than I had. Then went to a sunset dinner at Kaibo that night and stayed well after dark, no trouble with mosquitos there and it’s practically across the street. Tried the better bug spray at the house and still couldn’t be outside. Several bites just walking from the house to the car.

We enjoyed our stay. The property is gorgeous. The only problem we had were the windows in the master bedroom were not able to open. They all seemed to have broken mechanisms. Other that that, it was heaven! Would definitely stay again.

Our Stay at Sandy Bottom was amazing. The home is lovely and pretty much anything you needed was provided. The check-in and check-out procedures were simple and seamless. The pool on property was our like having a private pool as we didn’t see anyone else using it during our stay. Setup is great for families with young kids like ours, you can relax while the kids play on the beach or take them to the pool. Starfish point is a short walk, car ride or kayak trip away and the kids saw over 50 starfish while there. Overall great villa, highly recommend.

Perfect spot to stay away from the crowds

The island house was absolutely perfect. Everything from check in to check out was smooth. We enjoyed kayaking, seeing the big starfish right off the beach, the friendly cats and chickens, the stingray excursion, the turtle center, the caves, and much more! The house was perfect for our family and very accommodating. Definitely happy we stayed on this side of the island. Thank you for letting our family enjoy a small piece of your world.

Wow!! So spectacular and amazingly relaxing!

Gardens of the Kai #5 was spectacular!! It was truly picturesque! The house was beautiful: clean, updated, well stocked in the kitchen and bathrooms. The beach out in front of the house was the best along the coast - clear, not much sea grass (which stings if you get into it), and full of starfish. The kayaks were a blast as was the bike. The location was perfect for walking to Kaibo Beach Marina and Restaurant (basically across the street), walking to Starfish Point (about 13 minutes leisurely on the beach), and about 20-25 minutes walking to Rum Point (although it is a hot walk). Bioluminescent Bay is right there too - a must see!! We basically had the beach to ourselves - so quiet and relaxing and peaceful. Would highly recommend!!

Slice of Paradise

We had an amazing stay at "Sandy Bottom" in early April! The villa was really clean, beautifully furnished and situated in a little spot of paradise! The views from the villa are so gorgeous of the beach and ocean. The beach is there as soon as you walk out the door with soft white sand. We pretty much had the beach to ourselves while we were there and it was the perfect quiet, relaxing getaway we needed. The weather was perfect and the ocean and pool water was warm. We really enjoyed the kayaks and saw so many starfish in the area.We traveled to the seven mile area a few times for dinner and our whole family agreed that we were so glad we stayed on the north side where it was so quiet. It was one of our favorite vacations so far and I know we will be back!

We loved the quiet location and beach right outside. We did not go anywhere else except Starfish point for one day. An incredible place to stay.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. It was immaculately clean and had everything you need from towels to sunblock and coolers. Its close to star gosh point and bioluminescence bay. This side of the island is our favorite. It’s relaxing and quiet but close to Rum Poont if you want more action. We went to beaches all over the island and decided the private beach right out the back door couldn’t be beaten. Shade, chairs, view of Sri ray city. What else could you want? And the price for this gem was unbeatable. I can’t wait to come back.

Peace, Quiet, and Absolutely Beautiful

This was our second time starying on the island, but first time at Sandy Bottoms. The house was perfect and more than we were expecting. Everything was clean and beautifully decorated. We took the kayaks out daily and they were so nice to have at your fingertips. We could not have asked for a more prefect stay. We loved our stay at Sandy Bottoms. The property was gorgeous! Awesome screened in porch and beautiful view from the Master. Fresh flowers were a beautiful touch upon arrival. The house was so clean and just as pictured online. We enjoyed the beach chairs. The water was calm and great for our kids. The closet inside had plenty of sand toys, noodles and a float. They were so kind and brought us 2 travel beach chairs that we used when visiting 7 Mile. There were 2 kayaks that we used daily. There was a 2 person and a single but it worked great to use the single kayak for an adult and youngest child. Property managers were super responsive as well. Bring plenty of sunscreen and bug spray! Loved our stay!!

This was our first trip to Grand Cayman and we definitely picked the right place for what we were looking for... quiet, beautiful, clean, and inviting. Everything was represented accurately. We were able to spend a couple quiet days away from the crowded areas and explore other parts of the island. Not a terrible commute to Georgetown and West Bay if wanted.

Outstanding house and location

Our family throughly enjoyed our stay here in Cayman. This is a quiet but very luxurious area full of very nice homes right on the beaches. Gardens of the Kai beach was great for wading in and spending time in the water with a cocktail. Further out snorkeling and there were starfish everywhere. You can see in the distance Stingray city. A beautiful location. The property was clean and modern. There were fresh flowers placed on the table in the screened porch as well as inside in the living room. A great touch!! The house was very comfortable and the views were spectacular! We walked (the 100 or so feet) down the street to Kaibo yacht club for food/drinks a couple times. Great spot and launch point for snorkel and stingray city trips. Rum point is another great spot we enjoyed for drinks and a dinner. Overall a great vacation and the house was fantastic. Can’t wait to come back.
