This is the property to stay at if you are looking to stay in the Rum Point area of Grand Cayman. Let me begin with the hostess. She has thought of everything you need to have a truly enjoyable vacation. I did not need to chat with her, but I did because I couldn't stop telling her how great her place was and the amazing time we were having. Kayaking, Suping right outside the back door on the Bioluminescent bay. The pool is right there also. The bed was super comfortable which made sleeping easy after a day of adventure in the Caymans. The two-story porch is truly an amazing place to sit and enjoy your coffee while planning you next adventure. The location on the quiet side of the island made for a restful chillout vacation. Starfish point which was a short walk or ride from the Condo was truly amazing. The water around the island is crystal clear. You can't go wrong with this amazing host and amazing place. Pack your bags and book your trip today!

My family and I had a fantastic trip to Grand Cayman. This unit is probably the best we have ever stayed in. Very clean, extremely well equipped with everything you would need. Rum point is a very special location. However, during this time of year, it is extremely quiet, and many attractions and facilities are closed and or having renovations done. So, keep that in mind. All these units are having foundation work being done, which we were not made aware of before booking or before arrival. And this unit had a cement machine portable toilet and building material outside the front door. The workers would also park their cars in our parking area and have rest breaks on the side of our unit. This made us uncomfortable. We found it strange that they did not use any of the other unoccupied units and that the host was not aware this was happening.Other than this, which was a unique situation, I would recommend this unit to anyone. But be sure to check during the quite month.

Kai Time was perfect for our girl’s getaway. I stayed with two friends, and we all loved the property and the proximity to Rum Point Club and the amenities there. For starters, we each had our own bed which was nice. The private upstairs patios overlooking the water were perfect for reading time. Two of us had to work a bit while we were there so the home office came in handy. We also cooked most of our meals and the kitchen was so well equipped. We had absolutely everything we needed. It was so much fun to take turns sitting at the bar visiting while one of us was cooking. We loved the big screen TV for watching movies at night and the lanai was our favorite morning hangout for coffee or playing cards. It’s so peaceful there but we also loved being able to walk across the street to Rum Point Club for great food and drinks when we didn’t feel like cooking. I liked that snorkel gear was provided so we didn’t have to pack it. That was a nice bonus. We also loved the brand-new kayaks and paddleboards. They were a lot of fun. The house came with portable beach chairs and umbrellas, which we used at Starfish Point. We also loved that we were so close to other restaurants. Kaibo Beach Bar was one of our favorites. And we found a public pickleball court just down the road so next time we’ll invite a fourth. I’ve stayed at other places, and I can’t say enough about Kai Time. We had such a great time and will definitely be back again.

Best Couples Getaway EVER!We cannot say enough good things about the house itself. It was very modern and well decorated. It had all the amenities you could ever imagine and then some. The communication with the property manager was excellent! We did not have any issues during our stay, but are confident they would’ve been resolved quickly if we had. I would highly recommend this Kai Time Island House and we can’t wait to go back again next year! Everything was so convenient, just a few steps away to Rum Point Beach and easy access to other beaches close by!

We had a great stay at Rum Point island house. The house is beautiful and we really enjoyed the screened in lanai. The kitchen is fully stocked and the house is beautifully decorated. The owners had snorkeling gear, beach supplies and kayaks for our stay as well. It is located in a more quiet part of the island and was perfect for our family. We would love to stay here again.

Amazing stay at a beautiful, fun location

KaiTime is truly a gem! It is within walking distance of world class snorkeling, beach, bio bay kayaking (right out the back door), Sting Ray excursion, pool and restaurants! Rum Point is laid back/quiet but super fun! It was so nice to have everything we needed (paddle board, kayaks, snorkel gear, and beach stuff - towels, chairs, umbrella) for our daily adventures! The home was comfortable, clean and well-appointed. We loved hanging out on the screened in back porch/deck. Every day we got to swim with turtles and so many fish - my husband commented “it is like being in an aquarium.” Starfish Point is a paddle, bike ride or 5 min. drive away. Tuesday night b-bque at Kaibo was fantastic! Our host Karen was so attentive and thoughtful. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Truly a magical place.

Absolutely perfect location

Property was in the perfect location. Away from the busy areas tucked away in a beautiful community with a lot to do. The Villa was perfect for our family of 5 and well stocked. The new owners were very nice and made sure we had everything we needed even though we were unable to contact the property manager our entire stay. 10/10 would recommend and go again!

Paradise on the Bay

We couldn't say enough about our stay at Kai Time. The condo was perfect for our family of 5. Home-y, beachy, and had everything we needed. The pool and the bay outside of our backdoor provided the perfect set up for the kids and the adults. Loved being able to walk to the Rum Point Club and catch our String Ray tour boat right at the dock. It was so wonderful that we hope to come back!

Kai time lanai was incredible.

Kai Time Island House was immaculate. House was exactly like the pictures portrayed. Perfect getaway. Spent all our time on the beach right out our door, the pool and the beautiful lanai. Plan to book again!

This was the best VRBO we have ever been to. The villa was in perfect order and had thought through every detail. There were cooking oils and spices to help with meals. Coffee, filters, first aid kits, shampoo/confitioner, hair dryer, beach towels, beach bags, every detail was thought of. There was an excellent restaurant at the beach club across the street. Rental car is essential. Great location for a relaxing and laid back vacation. We ate in a couple of nights and went out other nights. If you’re on the fence, go for it!!

Great location! Quiet and private.

We loved the location and the we loved how quiet and private the whole area was while we were there. The condo is easy to love. Parking right outside the door and easy to get in and out of. I couple of steps from the beach. We loved the kayaks and the bioluminescence bay. Evenings on the large patio were wonderful. Had everything we could need and more.

Kai Time was Awesome Time

Our stay at Kai Time was wonderful and was perfect for an active family of 5. We spent our mornings and evenings in the screened in porch and went kayaking or paddleboarding every day. The location was great being on the cove being able to swim at night with the glowing algae and then taking walks every morning to Starfish point. Great neighborhood to go for walks and see the beautiful homes. Thank you for a memorable stay!

Great place at Rum Point

Couldn’t have asked for a better location. Kayaked every day along with taking bike rides around the neighborhood. Loved cooking in rather than going out to eat every night. Didn’t want for anything the place was stocked. You won’t be disappointed if your looking for a quiet and remote place to stay. This is on the quieter part of the island and must be willing to drive to town if you need anything.

Wonderful !

We had a wonderful stay here in May of 2022. The home was immaculately clean, modern and well appointed - things like a (working!) printer with paper that came in very handy for our COVID departure documents. We didn't find anything that was not in perfect working order. It was unfortunate that the amenities at Rum Point (dining, water sports) were closed due to storm damage, but we still had a wonderful time and explored the other dining opportunities on the north and east shores (Tukka was our favorite). Even though we drove to the Seven Mile Beach area every day for activities (scuba, stingray city, turtle center), it was nice to retire to the comfortable accommodations of Kai Time each evening. We would certainly stay here again on a future trip to Grand Cayman.

Great place in Rum Point

My wife, daughter (8), and I stayed in Kai Time #14 in March of 2022. Overall the property was extremely well-appointed and exceptionally clean. The location of the condo in the group of homes was really ideal - you were able to view the cove/water and also have easy access to the pool. Being in Rum Point things are more laid back and way less busy than down in Georgetown/7-mile area. There are quite a few good restaurants on the north side, just up the road, (over the edge, Tukka, Kaibo) and if you go just a little further you can go to Tides and Eagle Rays (the best lionfish tacos on the island!). The restaurant, bar, and watersports rental across the street at Rum Point beach have been closed down for quite a few months now - but that shouldn't deter you. Getting up to the property from the airport was pretty simple - although a good 40+ minute drive. Download the google maps of the island onto your smartphone for offline use and you can have turn-by-turn directions even if you do not have cell service. Of all of the places we've stayed at in the Caribbean, including another VRBO down in Georgetown, this place was the most well kept, appointed with items to make your stay easier or better, and up-to-date. When we come back to GC we'll stay here again. Thanks!

A Twelve!

On a scale of 1-10, this Rum Point beauty is a twelve! We've been using VRBO regularly for twenty-five years, and this property was one of the best. In my reviews, I try not to repeat others comments, which are deservedly all positive...Here are my additions: Attention to detail by the owner is amazing. We used the first aid kit, extra mosquito spray, extension cords, and flashlights from the many cabinets, and both types of coffee pots. The bath towels were soft and fluffy, the beach towels plentiful, and the pillows firm. Plenty of hot water for showers, with high pressure. TV's pictures were superb, and the internet was fast. Bikes and helmets were in great shape. And yes, you can make free LD phone calls to the states! The swimming pool is just steps away, as is the calm bay for kayaking and paddle boarding. The onsite restaurant and nearby Kaibo restaurants were tasty with good service. We plan to come back next year.
