Pebbles fun
Pebbles is on a beautiful beach. The house has everything in the kitchen to prepare meals. After full beach days, it would be nice to relax and watch movies on a larger television.

Slice of Paradise
We had an unforgettable second stay at this charming cottage, perfectly situated on one of the most beautiful, pristine pink sand beaches. The turquoise water, framed by rock and coral formations, is absolutely breathtaking—photos don’t do it justice! The location also offers easy access to Governor’s Harbor, making it convenient for dining and exploring the island. The cottage itself is lovely—simple yet spacious, with beautiful decor, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully stocked with all the essentials for a relaxing and comfortable vacation. The owner was warm and welcoming, going out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed. We truly felt at home. We can’t wait to return to this little slice of paradise for a third time!

Home Away from Home in Paradise
The house was beautiful to match the view. It was super clean and well-kept. It was nice to have items like beach towels and a cloth cooler to be able to use. It was easy to find and a perfect distance from Governor's Harbor. We were greeted by the owner, and she later graciously resolved an internet issue. She followed up later to make sure it was still working. In our opinion, this home is located on the prettiest beach of the island. We will certainly be coming back!

Great Location
We love the location of the house. On the Rocks beach is such a picturesque beach, with pink sand and rock reef that protects the area. The house itself needs some upkeep. There were major cracks in the walls. There was no internet or tv connection. I would only stay at this house again for its location.

wonderful beachfront cottage on Lutra's best beach. Snorkling was quite good on the rocks in front of the cottage. We had an internet issue that the owner resolved promptly. We would love to stay at Pebbles again very soon!

Quiet beach house
We have stayed on Eleuthera 5 times over the years and this is definitely at the top for so many reasons! Centrally located, so easy to enjoy both ends of island. Nice road to property. Beautiful beach out front is easy to swim and walk. Adjacent house had large family group - could not see or hear :) very private! House itself was small but very spacious with comfortable bed. Would definitely stay here again !

Lovely location but a little tired
Pebbles is a lovely location but the property is a bit tired.. The kitchen is new but there are few dishes to be had. The shower is large but the water pressure is poor and hard to manage temperature. This little cottage will soon disappear into the ocean as it is inches from falling off the edge at several points in the yard. The owner is lovely but clearly having some issues with erosion. There was no water or dish detergent when we arrived. Sadly our stay was impacted by the fact the island decided to open late for the season and lingering covid issues..

On the Rocks at Pebbles
It was a beautiful secluded beach with a cozy house. Really liked the private drive and quiet beach. Had some trouble with check in, but it was on me because I did not coordinate before hand… Host was great and helped us get settled in. Would definitely recommend! Hoping to come back.

wonderful stay - absolutely beautiful location.
Sadly leaving here this morning. Location is perfect and beach is absolutely beautiful. Eleuthera is not for everyone -- if you are looking for pristine beaches, wonderful snorkeling, and laid back atmosphere, its perfect. Rental car is a must, and you will want one that handles rough dirt roads to get to some beaches. House is clean and owner & caretaker responded quickly to problem with stove. Kitchen and baths could use a bit of sprucing up and maintenance, otherwise it would be 5. But all were functional, and we would definitely return (actually, we're planning next trip now! We visited at the same time last year and stayed at Ten Bay -- we much prefer the atlantic side of island).

Secluded pristine beach
This section of Poponi beach was really amazing. The waves were usually calm thanks to a rock formation that formed a protected cove which worked well for our 7-year-old. The sandy beach along the man-made rock embankment was pristine and beautiful. As much as we wanted to explore other parts of the island, it was hard to leave this perfect spot. Mimosas every morning under palm trees on the bluff overlooking the beach. Fabulous views and sunsets. Lots of curly tailed lizards. Nice walk up the beach to Tippy's for drinks and dinner.
House is close to Governor's Harbour for groceries and restaurants. Short drive to amazing beaches like Ten Bay, French Leave, Alabaster, and Twin Coves. Maybe two hours to Light House, but very much worth it.
House itself is comfortable, bright and airy. Big thanks to the owners for providing this great place to vacation. Hope to return.

Ten Days in Paradise
The description and information in all the documentation about Pebbles was right on. The pictures were accurate reflections. When we walked through the door we felt we were already at home. The setting is much more and much better than we expected. Pictures in brochures were unable to capture the intense beauty.
We had the pleasure of interacting with the owner, the property manager, and the booking agent. Whatever they say, they mean. They all bent over backward to made sure everything was in ship-shape shape. One morning the coffee pot died. We were able to get a few cups and called the property manager. Five minutes later the owner showed up at the door with a replacement from her own house. We call that exceptional caring service.
The property, the cottage, and everything around it was in immaculate condition. It is difficult on islands to win the battle against the salt elements, but these folks immediately jump on anything that goes wrong.
Yes, we recommend this place. It is probably the best location on the island. The beach is private, clean, romantic, alluring. Most of the time we had it completely to ourselves. This is only one beach of many. The protruding reef right in front of the cottage acted as a breakwater from the Atlantic swells. The easterlies kept the mosquito and biting bugs at bay.
Governors Harbour became our home for 10 days. Everyone in town were genuinely helpful. They throw a mean Friday night party with music that makes the stiffest of people come alive with the rhythm of Caribbean. Town is very convenient and offered about all we needed. We wanted for nothing. A lot of good local restaurants with help all going out of their way to please. We picked up anyone walking and all of them were grateful and appreciative. We found it hard to wave at locals before they waved at us. Even when on the main island road going through various settlements the locals were quick with smiles and friendliness. The island is clean. Kept that way by islanders who take pride in their country.
We could not rate which restaurant was the best. They all have their charm and personalities. Same for the beaches. All-in-all we found the food at all the restaurants we visited to be delicious. For two of us, it is difficult to have a glass of wine and a meal for less than $70 and that includes tax and tip. We found portions to be generous and many times an evening meal became tomorrow's lunch.
We'll be back!

Definitely needs upgrading
Multiple failures some accidental, some chronic.
- The cabinet doors fall out of hinges upon the first touch.
- Internet worked for 1 out of 7 days, so consider that the likelihood of you finding it working 14% chance.
- Water supply was disrupted after pump failure, took a day to get it fixed.
- Kitchen door had no stopper, being on the windy side, the wind blew it open and broke the door along the vertical.
The part that broke hit the water supply line causing a rupture and the subsequent pressure loss caused the water pump to fail.
The water itself comes from a well and has a strong sulfur scent, not sure if the filter is failing, or if it is simply unavoidable.
On the plus side
- The people looking after the building did the best they could to address issues in a timely fashion.
- Knowing the island I used Sky Beach (10min car drive) for internet access. The resort at Sky Beach manages to always have good internet connection, seems they know what it takes to get it done on the island.
- The location is stunning, the Atlantic beach, a natural pool nearby, wonderful grounds around the building, .... that saved the trip.
- The kitchen was no beauty but fully functional and well equipped with cooking utensils, so that worked well.
Hope the owner upgrades, the location certainly would justify doing just that.
