We knew when we booked this property that it was an older building and had low expectations. We didn’t expect when we arrived that the balcony railing would be ripped off and the sliding glass door would be boarded shut. That door was the only ocean view in the condo and the only source of light to the main living area. Our balcony was not repaired while we were there, but we listened to construction noise while others were being repaired. We also lost access to parking due to the construction supplies and trucks.When I addressed this with the host, they stated they did not have control over the construction. I understand they didn’t have control, however, they did have awareness and could have informed us about the construction and possibility of no balcony. Had I known that ahead of time, I wouldn’t have booked the property.Other people at the property were shocked the units under construction were even being rented. I’ve requested a partial refund which is “under review” and has been for several days.Bottom line - this is an older building, don’t expect much. It’s moderately clean, and you can read through the towels. We still would’ve had an ok time if we had a balcony.This company doesn’t care about your experience, only about taking your money.
