I rented this VRBO for a girl's weekend with me and my best friend. We wanted beach front; this place a beautiful view of the ocean! Upon arrival there were many bugs, both dead and alive, in the unit. I texted the phone number given (which turned out to be the property manager) that very first night and let them know. They apologized and asked if we were interested in someone coming by the next day to take care of the issue. I said yes, and then tried to sleep through the thoughts of bugs crawling on me while I slept. I have no idea if anyone actually came by the following day. No correspondence was left indicating someone had entered the unit. I once again texted the number and asked if someone had come by. I received no response. We do not believe anyone came by based on the new live bugs we encountered later that night. The text I received on arrival stated that checkout time was 10:59. On the day of checkout we were packed and had cleaned the counters, dishes, etc. I left to get the car and my friend left to get a dolly for our things. We both come back and our code for the door was no longer working. It was only 10:30. At this point I went to the front desk. I was told that they did not deal with personally owned units. I called the number I had been texting earlier in the weekend. I received no apology or explanation, just a new code to allow us back into the unit for our items. We wanted a worry-free girl's weekend and got bugs, ghosted, and locked-out.
