I stayed in this hotel for 5 days while on business in Baarlo, Holland. The room was big and clean and the breakfast spread was really great. The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is beside a wood and a farm. Nearby is a pond. Simply great. Highly recommended.
This hotel has great art work, a lovely ambience & friendly staff. However the breakfast staff were slow to take orders and you had to find them rather than they come to you. This happened both mornings of my stay. Dinner was delicious, small but tasty, the cooked breakfast on the other hand was disappointing, the scrambled egg tasted of nothing but the back was ok. The cold selection was good, with a great variety of fresh fruits and yoghurt. The room was great, spacious with a huge bath, I did wonder how much water it would take to fill it! I showered in the bath. The bed was comfortable but the empty mini bar fridge hummed all night, I couldn't find where it was plugged in, to turn it off. The hotel had a small gym with one treadmill which was perfect for my needs. I would definitely stay here again. Thanks.
Very peaceful surroundings, extremely comfortable beds and beautiful bedrooms. Staff are all very friendly and go out of their way to be helpful, nothing is too much trouble. The food is wonderful, I would thoroughly recommend staying here.
This was my first visit to the location and this hotel was a find. It is set in the woods where there was beautiful scenery and all the comforts of home. The room was huge and the view was perfect. The restaurant has very good food and dinner was long and relaxing. Love this place and plan to go back again.
My husband and I stayed at the Sandton Chateau De Raay, Baarlo for two nights. It is a very comfortable accommodation. It's a very unique building. The grounds around it are beautiful to explore. We stayed in a castle room, which had a nice sitting area and a very nice bathroom. And large windows that opened up to a view of the grounds. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfasts were excellent. Very worth paying for. I wouldn't hesitate and would look forward to staying there again.
Thanks for the attention to details and the upgraded room. The service at the reception, the dinner and the breakfast the following morning were all exceptional. Beside the soft and "sinking" bed we had a great overall stay
Let me start by saying that I still love this hotel. I've just stayed for four nights and will return again soon for another visit. The quiet location and atrium restaurant are still special and the croissants and yogurt at breakfast still as fresh as ever. However, it has been about 15 years since the hotel opened and a few things now require a bit of updating. The carpet and window coverings in my room were quite worn or dated and should have been replaced a couple years ago in my opinion. Fortunately, the simple, high quality, wooden furnishings were never really "trendy" and haven't gone out of fashion so this property could be brought back to perfection with a little attention to detail. Even so, this is a minor complaint against an otherwise excellent property. You can book here without any concern.
thank you for your kind hospitality...Every time it is a pleasure to stay at your hotel. You feel comfortable - you can relax - you can eat well and you can enjoy a business evening even not being at home.
Received on the day of arrival call vof overbooking. Athough room was already booked weeks ago. No alternative at all offered by the hotel itself. Travel agent was asked to solve it for them. They probably could sell my room for more money to some one else! Bad service!
no recomendation for friends, we won't do it again. It is pretty easy to perform better and it doesn't cost very much. The location is perfect, so everyone has some expections. The restaurant area lokks like a railway station waitin area. This also can be improves with some more specific interieur.
