Not happy at all with the Marriott Ocean Club. We have been a Marriott vacation club owner for many years and have never experienced anything like we have for this past week.Our room was on a floor that they were renovating and we had to walk through debris all over the floor as well as hazardous situations that you could walk into when going down a hall way if you were not paying attention. I am outraged that they put us on a floor that there were renovations are going on and expect you to be subject to this on your vacation. This is totally not the Marriott way. As a titanium elite member this is not acceptable.

9/30 to 10/7 reservation conformation,said renovations and elevator delays ,nothing about jackhammer the entire 4th floor above me, eight hours a day for three days. front desk was rould and uncaring ,gm said there was nothing he could do even though ,there was empty rooms above me. ruined my vacation will not stay there again.

We've been coming home to the Ocean Club since 2001. The incredible staff truly make this our home away from home. Our stay began with a warm welcome home greeting from Patrick and Raul as we pulled up and continued at check in and throughout our stay. We're still here and had been a bit apprehensive about the construction projects underway. It has not been an issue at all. They are running this in an organized, professional way with little disruption to the guests. We can't wait to see the finished product when we return in July! We are in the building management and construction business and we can absolutely attest to the incredible job the Ocean Club is doing and continues to do for its owners and guests. Congratulations to all involved!

I stayed in a condo-style room with a view of the beach. Room was modern with kitchen, sofa bed and king size bed in a separate bedroom. Accommodations could not have been better. Pool and beach were perfect, water temperature very comfortable. Lots of evening night life.

Out of frustration I posted a view of the activity outside my room at 1 am which continued for hours. My room was across from the gym at the stallirus. I had laundry trucks coming for 45 minutes with their diesel engine left running while worker went inside. Numerous other trucks all night which echo through the night. After my post manage 4 days later offered me a handicap room. They reached out to me through email at home 150 dollar credit. Are you kidding me? What an insult. My vacation was ruined with lack of sleep. I felt like I had no say. This was no my first time stating at the marriot ocean. I will say I stayed at the Holiday Inn 3days late and at the Hyatt. I shared my pictures when they and they said they corrected laundry ddelivery years ago. In March I stayed at the Barcelo with my husband and son in a 2 bedroom. They have a great lounge entertainment in the evening. I'm writing this while at flamingo beach which is part of the Renaissance Hotel. The management attitude experience force me to find a place when my business is valued. I will be taking my 90 year old mother here in February instead of the Marriot. You spend thousands at a hotel and they offer s 150 credit weeks after you try to address the problem at the hotel.

We just returned from a week at Ocean Club. We had a two bedroom on 4th floor. Room in good condition. but rooms undergoing Major Remodel. Fifth and sixth floor blocked off for remodel. A lot of noise during the day but quiet at night. Beach was beautiful and not crowded during this off season. Close to the Marriott casino.We had a great time and will return. JerryTheK Ohio

Just spent a week staying there with some family and I was disappointed the power on the island did go out for six -eight hours understandably not the hotels fault however they failed to make sure everybody was OK in their rooms without power and or assisting anybody that needed assistance .floors were wet from the humidity I had handicap people with me there was no flashlights of any type or glow sticks given out . Hotel room smelled a bit musty , they were working on a few rooms so had noise construction for a few hours on 3 days . Our hotel room had a ramp of sorts to go down hallway to room and had no hand rail for handicapped which made it more difficult for my family. I’m usually very happy with Marriott... just disappointed this time .

Be sure to visit the pool bar, now named Malmok Bar and Grill to meet this certified bartender and have a Slippery Monkey drink! Always a great experience/vacation at the Ocean Club.

Stayed here twice now. Had a wonderful time on both visits. The rooms are staff are both excellent. Most recent trip was a family vacation and we all loved it. There's so much to do on the island, or do nothing at all and still enjoy yourself ! I especially recommend the ATV tours and the Moomba Cafe. Wish I was still there !

I did a timeshare trade for Marriott’s Aruba Ocean Club. It is currently under construction on the 5th and 6th floors. The workers start at 9am and quit around 5-6pm. It really doesn’t affect my vacation but the jack hammering can get pretty loud by the pool or if you stay in the room. The staff is excellent and very accommodating. I stayed in a two bedroom unit and it is very comfortable. You need to take a taxi to the supermarket which costs $10 to the store and $12 back to the hotel. The $2 extra is because they are carrying delicate items. The 2 bedroom unit can easily sleep 8 people since there is a sofa bed in the living room and in one of the bedrooms. I stayed here last year and really like it. It is right on the beach and is an easy walk to the ocean. I highly recommend Marriott’s Aruba Ocean Club.
