Hubby and I had the most amazing experience at Freedom Inn. Such awesome scenery, you couldn't help but love this location. The upstairs room was clean and incredibly spacious and had a private bathroom. The shared lounge areas were warm and cosy with a fireplace. The home cooked brekky in the morning was delicious and the staff were welcoming and friendly.

This is definitely one of the best hotel we've ever stayed. We were a group of 4 families. We enjoyed the warm welcome and gracious hospitality extended to us by the friendly staff. The rooms were very spacious, clean and with a nice view of the mountains. We also arranged for a pick-up from the airport via mini-bus and we enjoyed the road trip. The lounge area was nice with wood fire, games, books, coffee/tea facilities. There was snow all around the inn. All of us enjoyed playing in the snow just outside the door. They had toboggans, snowball makers etc for the kids. Breakfast was good enough and tasty. Staff were really caring and will always check with us for the dinner. We had many choices including Indian food. Staff would get takeaways for us. The free shuttle was very useful. Hanazono 308 is just 5-10 mins walk from the inn. From Hanazono, we can take free shuttle to Hirafu. Ayuka spent nearly 30 mins with us explaining everything about taking shuttle, skiing classes etc. Everyone of us already want to go back to Niseko Freedom Inn:)

I stayed at the Freedom Inn for a week with my three year old daughter in March 2017 and was delighted with the experience that we had. I had pre-booked our stay by contacting the inn by email and had received some very friendly and informative correspondence. As well as booking the accommodation for us they were also able to book our transfers to and from Sapporo airport and also ski rental, lessons and ski school for my daughter. They also arranged a meal to be prepared for when we arrived which was very welcome when you've just spent 20 hours travelling with a three year old! For the duration of our stay we were made very welcome by the staff and they could not have been more helpful. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for them and they were also very friendly to my daughter, particularly on her birthday when she was made to feel very special and one of the lovely staff members unexpectedly cooked her a delicious cheesecake! The staff were also great at suggesting restaurants to visit for dinner and organising to get us to the venues in the minivan. The inn itself had a nice feel to it. We had booked a double room with an ensuite and the room itself was a good size, clean and tidy and with a nice view from the windows towards the mountains. The bathroom was fairly compact but was very clean and certainly adequate for our needs. The lounge area down by reception was cosy with a nice wood fire, board games, guitars, books and tea and coffee facilities. A great place to chat to other guests or staff after a day on the slopes or to play board games with the kids. Downstairs there is a room for skis and boards and a further room for boots and other ski gear. There was also a japanese style bath which we used one night and was great for sore muscles after a solid day of skiing. Outside there was absolutely heaps of snow and the inn provided a selection of toboggans, snowball makers and other toys for the kids to enjoy outdoors which was very well received by my daughter and her new friends at the inn. Breakfast was provided each morning in the dining room which had lovely views across to the mountains. I could even point out to my daughter the slopes she had skied with me the previous day at Hanazono! Breakfast itself was a fairly basic buffet with cereal, bread and toast and then a cooked breakfast (bacon, sausage, scrambled egg, mushrooms) with some fruit on the side. This was the perfect start to the day for us and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Don't expect a super-gourmet breakfast, but what you do get is simple, tasty and a great start to a day of skiing. Overall we were delighted with our stay. It represented great value for money and we found the staff to be very genuine and friendly. The location was terrific for our needs - being just one minute in the van from Hanazono ski resort. If you are after the hustle and bustle of Hirafu then this obviously wouldn't be your choice but for a quiet stay in a beautiful peaceful setting and so close to Hanazono then this represents an excellent location and really great value for money.

Cozy inn that is very near Hanazono 308. They offer free shuttle service to 308 and nearby towns for dinner. They are also extremely friendly and helpful with anything from finding places to eat, nearby sports shops and even onsens. The team speaks english (if you are worried about any language barriers) and are very fun to talk to (I remember Milo the snowboarder and David, who drives the van on Mondays). Will definitely be back, I'm already planning my next stay in Freedom Inn!

My son and I had a fantastic holiday at Niseko Freedom Inn. The surroundings are stunning and very peaceful. It is about a 5 minute walk from the Hana 1 lift, but the hotel shuttle bus will take you there and pick you up during their allocated times. It was lovely to be able to stay away from the craziness of Hirafu, but as there are no restaurants within walking distance, you need to rely on the hotel shuttle bus to take you to and from restaurants in Kutchan and Hirafu, which made dinners very regimented. The staff were amazing, booked all our dinners, takeaways, and even our bus back to the airport. The room was clean and comfortable and the included breakfast was great!

Although we stayed over for a night with the Freedom Inn, we were warmly welcomed by the owner and his team who helped us quickly settle in and provided us with great tips on where to dine and which 'onsen' to enjoy. Not only did the whole crew help us with our luggage on arrival but before we left they had also kindly got our car ready for us to load our luggage and took pictures with us before we left. This is truly a homey and very comfortable place for our stay and we thoroughly enjoyed the great service and attention given to us.

Excellent place to stay for a ski/snowboarding adventure! Cliff, the owner of the inn and all employees (from the shuttle driver to the front desk concierge) are incredibly helpful and friendly. You know you're being well taken care of and the inn itself is a cozy/comfortable place to rest after an adrenaline-pumped day. If you need to make rental reservations or have any questions, Cliff can help you in ad The breakfast is delicious, healthy (eggs, sausage, bacon, fruit plate made to order as well as self-serve yoghurt and milk/orange juice. You also have an option of requesting a shabu shabu dinner, which my boyfriend and I really enjoyed. If you feel lazy and don't feel like going into town (the shuttle can bring you though so it's not such a hassle---just make sure you request it and make a reservation the day before) it's a nice way to wind down the evening!

Freedom Inn is a great lodge/ryokan style accommodation with a nice mix of room styles for different traveller's tastes. Freedom Inn appears to be quite new, clean and well maintained. Staff are mostly english speaking so is easy for Westerners to communicate. The location is both a benefit and draw back. While it's away from the bustle (and bogans) of Hirafu, it also means dinner & snack options are require a bit of planning. The Inn supplied a free shuttle to go to Hirafu or Kutchan, but when busy, finding a slot can be difficult, especially for larger groups. The staff did a great job of pre-booking dinners for our group and I strongly recommend Kutchan over Hirafu! Getting to the ski slope at Hanazono 308 is either in the free shuttle or walkable (barely in ski boots). The supplied breakfast was adequate, but the same every day a little more variety would have been nice. Also has the world's slowest toasters!

Coming to Niseko area during this time of the year is usually busier and very expensive. What is different about this accomodation is that it's non Japanese. No difficulties in getting your messages through unlike most other hotels. I guess because it's expensive to stay during peak season, I was kind of disappointed by the breakfast served even though it was supposed to be a bed n breakfast place. The staff are helpful and it helps when there's daily complimentary rides to the ski fields and for dinners at Kutchan.

I stayed 2 nights in Freedom Inn Hotel. My group of 10 occupied 3 super big rooms. When we first checked in around 2.30pm on 6th December 2015, we have yet to eat lunch. Nick, the front desk staff, quickly brought us to a nearby place to have our meals and he later brought us back. Throughout our stay, the crew of Freedom Inn (Nick, Miyaki, Rick and Meiko were marvellous. They recommend restaurants that cater to our tastebuds and provide transportation to/back to the hotel, assist us in our ski rental and programs and ensure that we have a excellent stay during the 2 days. During our ski trip, we have some miscommunication with the Ski rental and Nick personally went down to help us sort it out. Though the location might be a little far away from Kutchan and Hirafu, the good service from the staff and the comfort of the rooms make up for everything. We truly enjoy our stay in Freedom Inn.
