The owner, who was very nice, has converted her home into a B&B. Unfortunately, there was an overwhelmingly strong smell of mothballs (?) our allergies were in high gear by the time we left.

A real home from home in a lovely historic farmhouse set in its own beautiful grounds. Karen was a fantastic host very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was very good. All in all a great stay.

A Peaceful Oasis

The Butterfly Farm is a peaceful oasis in the middle of the cattle farms of the area. Green and serene, with lots of privacy. Karen is a wonderful hostess, she has lots of great information on things to see in the area and she is ready with anything you might possibly need. If you are looking for a retreat away from the tourist traffic of the Great Ocean Road while still being connected to good Wi-Fi and all the amenities, this is the place to stay.

Marvellous

We had a wonderful couple of days staying at the beautiful peaceful home of John and Karen . As hosts they couldn’t have made us feel more welcome. Great company. The house is full of character , and a short drive to some great beaches. The choices for breakfast were second to none, nothing was too much trouble. Would I recommend a stay here? Absolutely!

Great quiet place to stay

Fantastic stay in a lovely quiet location (watching the blue wrens hop around the grounds was one of my favourite things) Very comfortable room and a great breakfast. Hosts, Karen and John, very friendly and gave great local tips/knowledge. Throughly recommend and would stay again if we are back in Oz.
