"This was a run-down property that was not accurately described. There are relics of play ground toys from a yester year, an abandoned ice cream shop and a scary looking club that had grass and weeds growing out of it. The food was the same every day probably leftovers from the day before. The drinks were watered down. They kept running out of knives and forks. One set of salt and ketchup for the entire dining area. Good things about this place: close to the airport, close by wildlife and the infinity pool. This was a glorified 1 star accommodation."

"Do not book this resort with Expedia if traveling with children! I had a very unpleasant experience when I was requested to pay double of what I originally paid through Expedia at the reception when checking in. I booked a 6 night stay at RUI Palace for one adult and two children 16 and 14 years old staying in 1 room. Expedia sent me a receipt confirming booking for 1 Adult and 2 children, but they sent my booking to RUI as 1 adult and 2 infants. When checking in I was told that there is an issue with my booking and I owe them a ridiculous amount of money to pay for my two children. Later it was brought down to a more reasonable amount. I argued that it was not my mistake and showed them a receipt where it says 2 children. The manager said that it happened several times before and it’s not their problem. No refunds will be issued, so I had no choice but to pay. It is RUI problem and they need to figure this out with Expedia. It’s as simple as sending people receipts specifying the ages of the children. "

"Great time at Margaritaville! I travelled with teenage kids and everyone had an unforgettable time. We loved the location of the resort right on the beach and being able to move between pool and beach. The beach is beautiful and not busy. The pool area has great character with people gathering around the bar and easy to make friends. The staff is really nice, especially the bar tenders at the pool - I loved the make your own Margarita time! Rooms are well appointed and very functional with plenty of storage. The common areas are ample, clean and have a lot of sitting to hang out. There are activities organized by the resort for everyone to enjoy. The only thing that could be improved is the breakfast choices and quality as well as the sitting in the restaurant. "
