My home from home with a very friendly welcome from Anna

I've been returning annually to Eric's and Marie's beautiful penthouse apartment since 2019 often staying both in the late Spring and then again. It's such a delightful place to stay especially when all the jasmine and oleander is in blossom on the fabulous terrace. The views from the extensive terrace and through the three sets of french doors are so beautiful - of the Med and Beaulieu Marina to the front then at the side the sub Alp Maritime that come tumbling down dotted with beautiful villas set amidst beautiful gardens and landscapes . There is comfyseating on the terrace for al fresco dining and drinking. The air conditioning units installed in both the bedroom and lounge works very well and quietly. The shower and toilet cloakroom is so attractive with a wonderful view from the window in the shower cubicle towards the sea.The apartment is spotlessly clean and has everything you need for your self catering. My one gripe is that ideally the mattress needs replacing as it has seen better days.Beaulieu has everything you need for a wonderful holiday, a beautiful promenade with walks to fabulous Cap Ferrat and Villfranche. A visit to the Villa Euphrussi with it's beautiful gardens and musical fountains on Cap Ferrat is a must to see with a fantastic dining terrace overlooking Villfranche Bay. A bus from under the bridge by Beaulieu Station will take you to the entrance of the Villa. You can easily get bus and trains to Monte Carlo, Menton, Eze, the Italian border

Pretty Good Stay

The property is in a good location with fantastic view of both ocean and mountain. The wrap-around balcony is great for vacationers. We had everything we needed in the rooms. The manager Anna was helpful. The only improvements that could be made are: the beddings seem a bit worn and the room radiators in the living room are impossible to adjust with the spinning handles

My annual home from home - a perfect gem

Beautifully located Penthouse apartment with a large 180 degree terrace filled with flowers. Beautiful views all round. Good quality outside dining furniture. Very bright apartment with 3 large French doors leading out from the bedroom, lounge and kitchen onto the terrace. Kitchen well stocked with cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils. Beautiful bathroom with an amazing shower with a view from the window. Very clean and well presented throughout although the bed may not be to everyone's taste being two singles pushed together and probably time for an update. The weather for the 10 days I was there in October was very disappointing and wet most days but as I spend time every day writing short stories posted on social media, staying indoors writing and enjoying the apartment was fine for me. Impressive apartment complex with well maintained entry hall opening up onto quiet landscaped gardens and. Very quiet and well maintained. Excellent public transport links e.g trains and buses to Nice, Monaco, Cannes. Italy etc close-by. Great food shops including a large well stocked U Supermarket about 5 minutes from apartment and a fab patisserie just round the corner, plus cafes. bars and restaurants along the road, this apartment fulfils all your needs for a great relaxing holiday. Not to be missed is the promenade walk to Cap Ferrat where you will find the beautiful Villa Ephrussi di Rothchild with its magnificent gardens above Villefranche Bay Beaulieesxooen

Only had air conditioning for half the stay in the middle of extreme temperatures. No effort made by the owners to fix the problem. Spent hours of our holiday trying to communicate with them. They ignored emails and telephone calls. We didn’t sleep for 3 nights so ended up leaving for a hotel to get some sleep. Ruined our holiday. The property manager Anna tried her hardest to help but ultimately the owners didn’t want to do anything.

A perfect gem

What is there to say that I haven't said before following my many previous holidays at Eric's and Marie's fabulous apartment in beautiful Beaulieu sur Mer. From the moment you make contact with the very friendly and welcoming Anna prior to and on your arrival at the apartment to the moment you have to say goodbye and shut the door behind you as you depart to go home, you know that this is a very special place. Everything is spotless, the views from the 180 degree terrace are magnicent 24/7 - sea town and Alp Maritime tumbling down, plus the soft fragrance of the spring flowering jasmine adoring the terrace walls wafting into the apartment, the well fitted kitchen area containing everything you need for cooking and dining, the shower / bathroom is gorgeous, beautiful paintings and artefacts adorn the apartment. And then there is Beaulieu sur Mer with shops, market place, eateries and its easy train/bus transport connections to all those magical places along the Cote D'Azur like Cannes, Antibes, Cap Ferrat, Nice, Monte Carlo, Eze, Menton, Villfranche etc. For a couple of weeks each year, I live the dream of being a resident, not just a holiday maker. Thank you Marie and Eric (and Anna) for another wonderful stay. Can't wait for October when I return for another stay.

Lovely apoartment

Just as described. In a lovely location. Sea views in front, mountains behind. Very accessible from Nice airport, via tram & train. Station and large well stocked supermarket less than 5 minutes walk away. Very quiet neighbourhood. Good sleep! Neighbour , Andrée, was delightful. Could not have been more helpful. Amazing bakery less than 2 minutes away. Thoroughly recommend. Thank you.

Gem of a dream location and apartment

This is about the fifth time I have stayed at Eric's and Marie's beautiful penthouse apartment located in a stunning well presented and maintained complex in the centre of Beaulieu sur Mer. The sea and mountains views from the 180 degree wrap around big terrace are beautiful both day and night time . The many beautiful troughs of plants add to the ambience and add to the pleasure of eating and drinking alfresco on the well equipped terrace -if only the weather had not been wet and windy for most of my stay. The open plan kitchen and lounge contain everything you need for a comfy self-catering vacation. It's a very light and airy apartment with 3 sets of big sliding doors on to the terrace (bedroom, kitchen, lounge). There is air-con in the bedroom. The bathroom is fantastic and has a large lovely walk-in shower with a window view towards the sea. If you should need it there is also a hidden washing machine there too. Beaulieu is my dream town and I love to pretend I am a local rather than a tourist. There are yummy patisseries, a great supermarket and other first class foodie shops. With frequent train and bus transport links to places like Monte Carlo, Menton, Nice, Antibes Cannes, Eze on your doorstop, you don't need to have or rent a car. The Golden Triangle of Beaulieu, Villefranche and Cap Ferrat with it beautiful Villa Rothschild and exotic gardens with musical fountains, are a beautiful locations to explore easily on foot from the apartment or by bus/train.

Live the dream of living on the Cote D'Azur

This is about the 4th time I have stayed at Eric and Marie de Valon's stunning penthouse apartment in the middle of beautiful Beaulieu sur Mer. It's a perfect gem of a place from the moment you are greeted and welcomed by very friendly Anna who looks after it. The huge terrace is amazing with wonderful views towards the Med and the Alpes Maritime tumbling down into the town set with the beautiful villas and foliage. Very pretty all lit up at night. The terrace has trellis with fragrant jasmine growing up it, there are pots of bouganvillea, lemon trees and oleander as well as beautiful terracotta troughs filled with a sweet smelling flowering bush. There is comfy outdoor furniture too to enjoy your al fresco meals and evening drinks (shame about the days of rain whilst I was there though) The apartment is very clean, light and airy with three large sliding doors leading out onto the terrace. The lounge and kitchen area are open plan and have everything you could wish for or need. The stylish bedroom is large with a wonderful view out across the town and Alpes Maritime through the sliding glass doors. The bed is probably a little too soft for me but nevertheless is comfortable The bathroom is well designed and modern with a lovely big walk in shower with the most amazing view from a window whilst you shower. Except for the very long password you need to key in when first logging on, the WiFi there was about the most efficient and fast I have ever come across.

We have stayed at this delightful apartment the second time at it was again the perfect hub for a week of tennis, cycling and relaxing. The balcony is the main attraction, with wonderful view to the sea and the hills. Close proximity to restaurants, supermarket and train station.

A perfect Spring break

This is a delightful apartment, ideally located in charming Beaulieu. It is spacious, elegantly furnished (with the extra charm of the original artworks) and equipped with all a visitor might need. The wrap-around balcony provides views of both the sea and the crags and the development is very well maintained and peaceful. The apartment is a short walk away from a Super U and other provisions shops, restaurants, bars, patisseries and the excellent bus and train service, providing easy access to the length of the Côte d'Azur. The port and the beaches are just down the hill and a nearby park formed by an olive grove provides an island of tranquility. The apartment is very good value for money and the manager, Anna, was unstintingly helpful and welcoming.

A wonderful apartment , but....

This apartment must have the best view in the whole town of Beaulieu! To wake up each morning to see the cliffs in the sunshine was simply magical! Great location for walking to the U (supermarket) which is a terrific store... walking to restaurants or strolling down to the marina. The apartment is quiet and roomy. Anna, the manager, is very efficient and greeted us on arrival...she is available by text almost all the time and does everything with a smile! As others have mentioned, the new bathroom is beautiful and roomy but there is no soap, body or hair product which unfortunately seems to be the norm now. I am sorry to have to deduct one star but we felt that the primary furniture in the apartment, the beds and the sofas, were very uncomfortable, very old and in need of replacing. We probably spent more time inside than some summer visitors, but still...furniture needs to be updated from time to time and needs to provide support and comfort! It should not be something that is compromised on. The value of this apartment was excellent but if given the choice, we'd be happy to pay more if we could have comfortable, supportive beds and sofas.

A perfect gem of an apartment in a beautiful Beaulieu sur Mer

This is the 2nd time I have stayed at Eric's as I affectionately call it. Everything about is superb - the lounge /kitchen, the amazingly beautiful bathroom, the comfy spacious bedroom with a fab view as you lay on bed. The huge super terrace with its views of the sea, town and the Alpes Maritime. The kitchen area is beautifully designed contains all the utensils, pots, crockery, cutlery, china and glasses you could possibly need with the exception of containers for use in the microwave. The whole place from the moment you enter the complex, you know you are somewhere very special. Anna who meets and greets you and shows you around the apartment is very welcoming and cheerful. The price of Eric's for a week is fantastic value of money especially as it is in the midst of the Golden Triangle of Cap Ferrat, Villefranche sur Mer and Beaulieu, almost halfway between Nice and Monte Carlo. Beaulieu is beautiful and has all the food shops, cafe and restaurants you could possibly need. The walk through the landscape Gardens by the Rotanda and Casino down to the sea front promenade is lovely. You can walk from there to the coastal path on the shoreline of Cap Ferat pass David Nivens old home. You can also get the bus under the railway bridge round the corner from the Beaulieu railway station to take you to the amazing fabulous Villa Euphrussi Rothchild with its musical fountains in the landscaped gardens looking out over the bays of Beaulieu on one side and Villefranche on the other. The bus will also take you to the delightful St Jacques Port Cap Ferat where the cost of a beer and nibbles or a meal are very reasonable given the fact that Cap Ferrat is a most desirable and sought location by the rich and famous. The same bus will take you to Nice via a stunning route. Trains and other buses (on the seafront) will also take you to Nice, Monte Carlo and Menston. Trains will take you Italy or in the other direction pass Nice to Antibes, Juan's le Pines and Cannes I love Eric's and Beaulieu so much, I have already rebooked to stay twice next year 2023. Sheer perfection a holiday here.

As Advertised!

First, Beaulieu-sur-Mer is a charming town. Second, everything about the apartment is as advertised and more: there is a view of the sea and a wrap-around deck. The location is great. The apartment is open and airy with state of the art appliances. The kitchen is well-equipped for cooking and dining. The bedroom has air conditioning. All of this said, the apartment is on the 4th floor and that means that when it is hot out, it is hot inside too.
