## Neighborhood
BIOT:
Perched in the heart of the Côte d'Azur and 5 minutes from the Mediterranean, Biot overlooks hills covered with mimosa and olive trees.
Heritage A rich historical heritage
At the beginning of the 20th century, the decline of the pottery industry became more pronounced. Biot refocused on agriculture, mainly vineyards and horticulture, which declined around 1960, while a new activity began to emerge.
The Sophia Antipolis business park, Europe's first technology park, was created in 1970. Biot's appearance changed, and neighborhoods outside the village developed.
History An authentic Provençal town
The village walls expanded, and during the 16th and 17th centuries, cultivation and pottery brought wealth to the villagers. The jar industry developed, transforming Biot into a major center of pottery production. However, in the 19th century, pottery, quarrying, and kilnstone cutting activities declined. At the same time, art and crafts flourished. Fernand Léger, Raymond Peynet, and many others settled in Biot and contributed to its reputation. In 1956, Eloi Monod founded the Verrerie de Biot and its bubbled glass. Biot then became the town of fine crafts...
Nature... Breathe...
The Brague Departmental Park covers no less than 480 hectares. Accessible to all, regardless of age or skill level, the hiking trails allow you to discover the best-hidden secrets of the Mediterranean landscapes. Moreover, along these paths, numerous historical remains can be observed, such as old mills, traces of charcoal millstones, the Pierres à Four ash quarries, and even evidence of the Roman presence...
Crafts Destination for Fine Crafts
Since the second half of the 20th century, blown glass has become the new symbol of the village. Awarded the Ville et Métiers d'Art label since 1997 for the glass industry, Biot has become, in almost 60 years, the capital of contemporary glass in France. Several glassworks, each with their own unique personality, have set up shop in Biot to showcase the subtlety of glassmaking. But many artists also have their own studios or shops in Biot: painters, sculptors, designers, ceramists, jewelers, goldsmiths, leatherworkers, photographers... all practice their passion in the authentic setting of a Provençal village that inspires creativity.

Antibes is also a city steeped in history. A former Greek port colony, you will have the opportunity to stroll along the harbor quays and its famous Billionaires' Quay. You'll find Fort Vauban and the Picasso Museum overlooking the Mediterranean Sea on the heights of old Antibes, as well as a beautiful cathedral. A few kilometers away towards Nice, we find the Cagnes-sur-Mer racecourse, Marina Baie des Anges, and the famous Casino de la Siesta.
As for sporting activities, Antibes offers sailing, diving, windsurfing, kayaking, and catamaran rentals. For golf enthusiasts, golf courses are available nearby, as well as horseback riding and tennis. Cap d'Antibes, where you'll find private beaches and nature reserves. Juan les Pins: A small town in the Alpes-Maritimes region of Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, Juan-les-Pins is one of the most popular seaside resorts on the Mediterranean Sea. Nestled west of the famous Cap d'Antibes, the seaside resort of Juan-les-Pins reflects the gentle atmosphere of the Riviera. This popular little town on the Côte d'Azur is home to numerous luxurious residences: palaces, villas, and luxury hotels face the Mediterranean Sea and gardens exude the delightful scent of Provence. We can still see what this immense pine forest once was, bordering fine sandy beaches, before transforming into a legendary seaside resort frequented by the elite of the artistic world over the years. Today, you can still enjoy its beautiful golden sand beaches or the privacy of its charming little coves. It's obviously worth immersing yourself in the frenzy of Juan-les-Pins: nightclubs, a casino, and nightlife boutiques make it a paradise for night owls flocking to the seaside bars. In addition to its vibrant atmosphere, Juan-les-Pins hosts a musical event that further enhances its image as a party town. Since the end of World War II, the town has established itself as a major jazz venue, hosting illustrious artists such as Sidney Bechet, Ella Fitzgerald, and Duke Ellington. Even today, the biggest names in jazz perform here every July during the Jazz à Juan festival in the Pinède Gould. To escape the hustle and bustle of Juan-les-Pins, stop by the Exflora Park, spread over nearly 5 hectares. It contains approximately 330 plant species spread around a large olive grove. Here, different Mediterranean garden styles, ranging from Ancient Rome to the 19th-century Riviera, are brilliantly expressed. Don't miss the immense 500-meter-long waterway leading to the sea and lined with sumptuous rose bushes. As you stroll through Juan-les-Pins, let yourself be captivated by its typical architecture, admiring the Belles Rives and its 1930s furniture, the Villa La Vigie, the Juana, listed as a Historic Monument, or the many Art Deco buildings that mark your visit. The Gallice harbor embraces the city's bay, offering a pleasant place for a seaside stroll, while the fine sandy beaches are the ideal place to relax, soak up the sun, or enjoy water sports. Don't miss the Pinède Gould, where Ray Charles and Miles Davis made their European debuts. An avenue of footprints reveals the greats who have passed through. Exflora Park offers more than 330 plant species for a charming and exotic stroll. Don't miss the Jeanne d'Arc Church or the Notre-Dame de la Pinède Church to appreciate the architecture typical of this part of southern France.
