Old town charm meets modern Parisian chic at Moulin-sur-Mer. A beautiful, newly renovated, spacious, air-conditioned, WIFI equipped, three bedroom, two bathroom luxury apartment that comfortably sleeps six guests.

Moulin-sur-Mer is ideally situated in Nice’s historic Old Town, with cafes, Provençal markets, and al fresco dining nightly, and less than 5 minutes stroll to the azure-blue Mediterranean beaches that border the famous Promenade des Anglais. It is also conveniently close to Nice’s airport shuttle bus, tramway and SNCF train stations.

Located on Rue du Moulin, a quiet pedestrian street, and situated on the third floor of a traditional Niçoise Old Town building. The apartment has just been completely renovated and refurbished by a Parisian, now Nice based, Interior Designer Severine Pilot. Care has been taken to preserve its beautiful traditional features such as marble mantle places and ornate cornices while transforming the apartment into a designer home away from home. The apartment has featured in both Art & Decoration and Marie Claire Maison, 2 of the biggest French interior design magazines. Moulin-Sur-Mer benefits from being flooded with natural light through its many traditional Niçoise shuttered windows and from having a lovely wraparound balcony on which you can enjoy an aperitif while watching the world go by in the little French square below. Staying in this apartment you will be in the heart of it all, yet maintain great privacy and intimacy.

Location, Location, Location! This is Old Town Nice so expect historical buildings etc., the stairs are a bit of a challenge but the apartment is great, we loved sitting on the small balcony ( really only 2 can sit on balcony) and enjoyed watching the world go by! Short walk to fresh market and beach. We were there 5 weeks and it was very comfortable. Host is amazing and always available to help.

Perfect spot

My family and I spent 5 nights in this fantastic apartment. It has a wonderful location, and we were able to walk everywhere we needed to go. We were traveling with my one year old daughter so I was worried about how quiet the rooms would be, but the whole space was surprisingly sound proof. We could watch a movie in the living room and hardly hear her singing in her bed. It was a wonderful trip and I can’t recommend this property enough!

5 Days in Nice

Couldn’t have enjoyed our stay more at Carls Apartment. We stayed for 5 days of a 10 day France trip. Nathalie met us at the apt exactly at check in time and showed us around as well as answering our questions on things to do, travel options, etc. When you first walk in the hallway it definitely lives up to “old town nice” but once you make it up the stairs to the 3rd floor it changes. The Apt is very modern and well furnished. There are 3 bedrooms and each has its own climate control, which is very convenient. The washer and dryer are small but do the job. The apt was very clean and the beds were comfortable. There is 1 TV in the living room and had Netflix, Amazon Prime and found a few English news channels. Carl left a book with everything explained in detail (with pictures) on how to use the appliances, TV, and stove which made everything easy. Anytime we had any questions, Carl was quick to respond. The location is right in the middle of old town and everything is right there. The only negative was the train station is a good 15-20 minute walk unless you take the tram but it’s a safe walk and plenty of stores and scenery along the way. The beach is only a few blocks away and there is a huge daily market there that we went to every morning for fresh croissants and fruits. Less than an hour from Italy and Ventimiglia is definitely worth a day trip. We have done quite a few rentals and have to say this was one of our most enjoyable trips and Carl was a great host.

Beautiful Apartment

The apartment was beautiful. It was also in a great location and made it easy to get to restaurant and beach. Located in Old Nice, which was beautiful. The apartment had many amenities, that made our stay comfortable. Our only complaint was Apartment was located in the 3rd floor and made it a challenge with luggage since the stairs were the only option.

Lovely refurbished apartment in old town building. Very central, AC in every room, good showers. Steps from shops, restaurants, tram, beach. Things to note; it’s up 3 flights of stairs, and at a busy pedestrian intersection, but once windows closed at night there’s little background noise. Great communication.

Lovely stay in a great apartment

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Nice in the lovely apartment, which was well equipped and had very comfortable beds. The air conditioning was invaluable in the very hot weather. The location of the property was super, so close to the daily markets, the sea, the promenade, the tram, trains and buses, The only thing we won’t miss is the 3 flights of stairs, but they will have done us good ! Thank you !

Gem in the Old Town

The apartment was wonderful. It was in a great location, nicely-decorated, well-equipped, and the bedrooms were very comfortable. The balcony was great for enjoying morning coffee and evening wine and just watching the world go by. Our arrival was quite delayed due to flight issues but Carl kept in constant contact, graciously met us at 1 am and took time to carefully explain the apartment and give us ideas for things to do and places to go. When we lost wifi mid-week, he cut short a bike trip to come and fix it for us. We are so glad to have found this gem in the old town!

Location is fantastic - close to all the favorite spots. Market, Mediterranean, restaurants and transportation. Felt like our own home, so cozy and comfortable the apartment has everything you need to make a memorable stay. Host is amazing!

Fantastic apartment

The location was perfect. The apartment was clean and well appointed. I would definitely recommend this apartment for a stay in Old Nice. We enjoyed our time there and it was conveniently located near bus and metro. We used public transportation throughout our stay. The check in and check out process was very easy and accommodating.

Great find! We would love to come back!

We stayed for almost a month, 3 adults, 2 kids. The setup was very comfortable, beds are comfortable, location is great, right in the middle of everything. Apartment has high speed internet (I worked remotely with big files and speed was not an issue at all, I think apartment has 6G network). The hosts are amazing, super responsive, very helpful, gave us great suggestions on the things to do/see and places to go. Everything is very comfortable and tastefully done. I definitely recommend and would love to come back. It was our home away from home. We didn’t want to leave.

Wonderful apartment in the heart of Old Town

We had a lovely stay at Carl's apartment in Nice. Prior to our arrival, Carl's communication was prompt and clear. He was able to recommend a great babysitter for our one-year-old that we used throughout the trip. He met us upon arrival and helped us carry our bags and settle in. The apartment itself was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. We had everything we needed for ourselves and our son for our two week stay. We especially appreciated the A/C during a heatwave that came with our arrival. The location is fantastic--close to all of the attractions of old town and a tram stop. We went out to dinner most nights at the great restaurants nearby (especially recommend Bar des Oiseaux, right around the corner). For our son, we appreciated being so close to a wonderful playground and splash park. There is some street noise at night, but the soundproofing on the windows is good. And you will get a workout with the 4 flights of stairs, but it felt worth it for us. We would definitely recommend this great apartment and host!

Exquisite design and great location

A lovely property that has been designed thoughtfully . The beds are extremely comfortable and the linens are excellent quality . Bathrooms are exceptionally well done and bigger than most bathrooms of any French rentals . In suite washer and dryer was most convenient as we were on a long trip and travelling light . Remarkably little scent used on the property which made for an extremely pleasant experience sleeping ( I have asthma and am very allergic to scent) . A fantastic location ( the best , and we have visited Nice many times ) . Just steps to the market and the promenade , shopping and countless bars and restaurants . Owners and guardianne were exceptionally polite , kind and quick to respond to all inquiries . This property is professionally decorated and extremely well managed . Superb location and accommodation in Old Nice

Most comfortable beds and linens, beautiful bathrooms, well appointed kitchen makes this a delightful place to spend your holiday. Make yourself at home in this fabulous location. Easy to arrive by tram from either train station or airport. Exceptional restaurants nearby and sea less than 5 minute walk. One evening during our 5 day stay there was noise from a local discotech but nothing our white noise maker couldn't handle. Carl and Frances who met us both very helpful and very quick responses to questions. They made our stay more delightful than if we ventured it alone. Great local tips.

Fantastic apartment in Old Town

The apartment is wonderfully decorated, fully remodeled, spotlessly clean and in a fantastic old town location. Close to all the old town action, tram station, restaurants, boulangerie, beach and playground/splash pad. Air conditioning in every room including the bedrooms. Wonderful linens, extra towels (including wash cloths) and beach towels/bags. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you need to cook and clean. Large bedrooms and spacious bathrooms. The apartment also includes a normal sized washer with a completely separate DRYER (a rarity in old town ... not the crazy Parisian combo washer/dryer but a real honest separate dryer like you have in your own home). If you're driving and thinking of doing a lot of driving side trips, we parked at the Corvesy parking garage. It's just a few blocks further than the closer parking garage, but they had a weekly rate with unlimited in and out privileges. After you take your ticket and park, you can then purchase a weekly pass from the Corvesy parking garage office by the elevators.

Wonderful apartment in Nice Old Town

The apartment is extremely well furnished and interior designed with everything you would expect in a luxury apartment. It is situated in the old town with easy walking to all the local restaurants and beach. The balcony is lovely to sit on and watch the world go by beneath you. The air conditioning is excellent and was a must during the recent heat wave.

Wonderful apartment in Old Town Nice June 2019

Great place!!! Best VRBO/AirBnb experience to date!!! This is a fully remodeled apartment in the heart of Old Town Nice just steps away from restaurants, bakeries, pubs, beach, street markets, and public transportation. The apartment was fully equipped and furnished and met all our needs. Great A/C in all rooms with comfortable beds, kitchen has all necessities for cooking and eating in, washer/dryer, Smart TV with Netflix and a DVD movie collection. Carl was an exceptional host during our entire stay and assisted us with setting up an Old Town tour and a driver to the airport. Check in and check out process was extremely simple and convenient. We will be recommending this apartment to all of our friends and family and hope to come back and stay here longer. We were extremely busy sightseeing the different cities in the French Riviera, so we did not get to enjoy the apartment as much as we would have liked to. The apartment served as a home base as we traveled by train and boat to the different cities (Caanes, St. Tropez, St. Raphael, Monte Carlo etc.) As in most Old Towns in Europe, if you are travelling by car, the public parking lot is a couple of block away but we were able to easily transport our luggage from the parking lot to the apartment on foot. Grand Prix Weekend

We were a party of 6 staying in Nice for the Grand Prix weekend... The apartment was just what we needed.. spotless, central and had everything required.. I only wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy it more. I was worried about the noise - having stayed in the old town before... but once the windows were closed this was not a problem. Everything was on our doorstep.. restaurants, shopping, bars, the tram etc etc ... the only downside was having to carry the luggage upstairs... but this is common in the old buildings. Loved Loved Loved our stay and will definitely return.

Another fantastic stay

This is our 2nd time at this appartment and we enjoyed it as much as the first time. We were greeted by Carl who was extremely helpful and informative and the apartment had a nice welcome pack with an excellent bottle of Rose wine. The weather was mixed and often raining on an evening, so we dined close by and found some superb indoor restaurants away from the tourist track. Our favourites were L’Ecurie and Bar Des Oiseaux. Overall, a fantastic apartment in a fantastic location - we will be back.
