On arrival we were greeted by a very friendly receptionist who spoke perfect English...our check in was quick and efficient...the room was spotless...beds and pillows very comfortable...our room was at the back so nice and quiet...underground parking major plus...had seen lots of negative reviews so was sceptical...but the friendliness of all the staff including the cleaners...I would happily stay there again.

Excellent hotel in central Cagnes-Sur-Mer. Stayed with my wife. Lots of shops, services nearby, walkable to the seafront. Safe, secure parking. Decent breakfast if you need one - if you just want a coffee there are options nearby. Friendly and helpful staff - English and French speaking.

Hotel Moderna is very tired. The rooms are dirty and smell. The night manager was however very helpful!

Hotel with great location, friendly staff

Very happy about the hotel, staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel would need some refurbishment but it is generally clean. It has a good location, close to local bus stops, the beach and shops/restaurants. It is only about half an hour from the airport. Train station is also close.

Spartan, disappointing

The Staff were friendly and helpful enough. The Hotel itself was Spartan. There was a dining room, but does not appear to be used. Breakfast provided for 6 Euros; if you wanted breakfast, you had to order what you want the previous day, so that they could bring it in form out. But there were enough eating places within a minutes walk. Does not appear to have any catering facilities in house. The room facilities consisted of a single plastic cup; no kettle, no Coffee or tea; no china cups and an empty fridge.

Staff were wonderful!

The staff were all very nice from housekeeping to front desk.The rooms were immaculate. Its well located. A short walk from the Station, the sea and amenities are close.I'll be staying there again.

The hotel was decent. The room was ok, the nightguard was charming, there was wifi, and the room was good. The location served its purpose as all I needed was a place where I could easily park my car so not too close to the touristic hotspots. Negatives were the smelly hallways and the hairdryer that almost blew up.

Comfortable room, friendly reception staff

Stayed for four nights while visiting our son who is living in Cagnes sur Mer. Room was very comfortable and clean, reception staff very friendly. We did not eat in the hotel, so cannot comment on the food. Good location, near to train station and centre of Cagnes and about 10 min walk to the beach. Very quiet room even though Hotel is on a fairly busy street.

lost jacket

I forgot my jacket at the hotel - called later and they said they had it (this was on a tuesday) - they agreed to mail it to me, but said they could not get out of the hotel to do it until the following monday ( a week later almost) - that meant the difference between 11 Euros and 39 Euros to ship because it meant sending it monday was to send the jacket overseas. I thought they could have done more to help me out - did not seem to care much
