This was our first stay at Hotel Nicea and first trip to Nice. The hotel proved perfectly adequate for our three-night stay. The location is excellent, being a short walk from the train station, close to numerous bars and restaurants and a walkable distance from the old town and beach. We didn’t get back until past midnight on any day and felt perfectly safe walking through the area (although we were a group of four men). The rooms were functional and clean. Bed linen and towels all clean and fresh. As picked up in some other reviews, the rooms were small – the bedroom being fairly tight when set up as a twin and the bathroom extremely compact (felt a similar size to a caravan bathroom!) Fine for us, as we used the hotel as a base and were out most of the time. All the staff that we came across were very pleasant and helpful and couldn’t have been better! The free WiFi was fast, and didn't kick you off after a while, as in some hotels. We didn’t have any meals at the hotel. We found a great little coffee shop a five-minute walk away (Malongo Café) that we had breakfast at most days. We were happy with our stay, although we did book online through a third party website and get the rooms at a discounted rate.
This was the second time i stayed in this great located Hotel, with a reason. Its a Better budget hotel with a great charm, and Super friendly staff. It has a Terra's with a great vye over Nizza, where you can enjoy your evening wine ore afternoon coffee. The building is old, and have thin walls. So if you are sensitive to "Noice from other guests and Movement I'm the house" This could be a problem. Beside that I truly recommend this hotel because of the staf and great service, and comftable bed's and charm.
Food for dinner was catastrophic and in the morning we didn't get any breakfast, but we pay for it. Room was small but clean, wonderful view from room balcony. Room ok, food not ok. Not recommend for stay
Excellent hotel in Nice, close to Avenue Jean Medecin, 3 minutes walk from the tram station and 5 minutes walk from the station Gare Nice Ville, 15 minutes from the airport - direct by bus 99. So, very good connected for going everywhere in town or outside Nice. The staff from the reception are very kind and they did all their best to offer us the best stay in Nice. The rooms are clean and very spacious. The breakfast is excellent, a lot of choice and a very spacious dining room. You will find discount cards for all the attractions at the reception. And don't forget the lovely terrace where you can enjoy a drink or where you can have breakfast. It was a pleasant stay here and definitively it will be our hotel to stay in Nice for our next holidays. Congratulations to the staff of the hotel for their good job. Everything was excellent!!! Thank you, thank you a lot!
The hotel is well located because it is close to the Gare du Nice. It takes around 10 minutes to get to it. About the hotel, the members of the staff are very friendly, breakfasts are good and the restaurant is clean. The lift is something interesting.
My family and I were disappointed during our one night stay in this hotel! The staff, I'm sorry, the all in one man was very unkind, the hotel location was terrific and the triple room was the smallest one I ever seen in my life. Add to this the unbelievable narrow bathroom and the terrible impression is full!!! Thanks to God that we stay just one night!!!!
i've been 4 or 5 time in this hotel and honnestly i will give it one star i'm generous on this matter, rooms never ready on time, most of them are smelly, either smoking smell or just like a changing room smell, or they'll be noisy, and many time not really cleaned, staff mostly nice but completly incompetent. toilet paper are a very cheap recycle one nothing in the shower to put your soap, most of the time you transform the bathroom in a swimming pool when taking a shower Always something not working in the room, either light not working, AC not working, toilet leaking...etc...etc... when trying to get a taxi from the receptionnist they only agree to call a friend of them, not a professional, who are always very late and they are lying all the time about it, me passengers always complain because 3 time they almost missed their flight because the driver arrive always 30mn late but they always told you no worries he will arrive in 5mn. Very dodggy area, not safe for women at night, In fact my compagny do not use this hotel anymore as it is very very bad for a 3 stars.. a joke... So yes they are rated 3stars because they have an elevator and wifi...but doesn't worth anything like that
The accomodations were average as the rooms could have been designed better. We were lodged on the upper most floor so had access to the terrace area. The room was very cramped taking into account that we were three people staying together. The bathroom was really poorly designed as in there was a huge area dedicated to the basin & loo but jardly any space for the shower stall! The location was good as it was nearby the main road which lead to the promenade. The staff was very helpful & did their best to help us around. Would recommend as a budget stay if you plan not to spend much time in your room!
I would say hotel is more like a 2 star , it is below average , i ised as last minute booking to be near la gare ( train station) . It is located in a sowhat shady area, but it was safe. It is 5 minutes walk from the train station . The room was clean and small , the air stop working , but this kind of things can happen.. The breakast it is very basic , a semi continental €12 it is somewhat reasonable as it is a buffet kind of setting , and remember you can have more than one croisant and coffe, yahourt , cheese and cold cuts, juice and coffe.. The wifi worked very well in the room , i have not problem at all connecting to social media , or for cheking emails .it is withim walking distance to center , place Massena and beach 10 minutes walks . The staff it was very friendly and helpfull , for that i give them a 4 stars , it is always nice to find a welcoming smile. : )
Stayed at this hotel for the Monaco Grand Prix' ( booked as part of a package). Rooms are very small , the picture here is a bit deceptive, but clean. The shower rooms are made only for small people! The hotel is situated just a five minute walk from the station, and convenient for the tram to the Old Town, but in a less than attractive part of the city. The Hotel has six floors with a lift that only takes three people, so a bit awkward for our party of six. Breakfast only, which started on our first day with just croissants , stale rolls and jam and coffee and juice from a machine. After a couple of days some ham and cheese and fruit appeared . There is a very nice roof patio where you can take drinks and nibbles etc, or just sit in the sun, but no public rooms at all. All in all, a functional bed for the nights we required , but wouldn't be our choice for a holiday In Nice.
